If I could give this place an overall review of 0 stars I would, but it would not let me give a review unless I gave at least a star. The place was a wreck when we went in, dirty dishes in sink, all mattresses were on the floor as was the couch cushions. When we called back to let them know they said they had rented the place out to another person for the next day and we had to leave after driving 10 1/2 hrs. We were left with NO option but to leave the next day because there was no other places available in our price range and they couldnât get our refund to us immediately to get another place. So we not only lost out on the place, but everything we had to prepay for also to include a deep sea fishing trip, our grandsons were so disappointed to say the least. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE OR VRBO!!!
We came to Galveston for a little getaway. The house was beautiful but did have a few minor issues. The owner was very helpful and was available anytime I had a question. He also was very receiving to any of our issues and was concerned with taking care of them. Kids loved the air hockey table!
We had no electricity in several areas of the house while there. An electrician was contacted by the property manager to their credit but the entirety of our stay was impacted by the lack of light and outlets to use. Otherwise property was clean and affordable.
Les points faibles : Communication, emplacement, exactitude de lâannonce
Family bacation
The ac didnât work right, internet didnât work, the stove didnât work, we had to buy a lighter to get it to work, the oven didnât work, the first day the shower was plug, we couldnât take shower. They were supposed to send someone to check the ac, never show up. So it was a lot of things they were supposed to be ready. So we would not stay there again
The house itself is very close "to the action." Just a short walk to Seawall Blvd for "The Spot" and the pier. It will take about 20 minutes to the pier and 10 minutes to the spot. Murdoch's is right next to the pier and it is always a good place to go to relax and get a beverage.
As far as the house goes, the owner was very responsive to phone call and text. We had an issue upon check in, but it was handled in a timely manner. If street noise and various sounds don't bother you, then you will be fine. There is a family that lives upstairs and you can hear the foot walking and noises. We were not in the house very much so it did not bother us. Overall, it is a good house in a good location, we are low maintenance people and had a good experience.
The property looks nice in pictures but the overall cleanliness and experience was not good. Upon entering the property it smelled of cigarettes even though itâs a non smoking property. We checked the furnace and the air filter looks like it hasnât been changed in months. The main rooms are warm but the bedrooms get cold. The bed squeaks every time you move. The shower doesnât drain properly so youâre standing in inches of water in an old shower tub thatâs peeling. The kitchen range works but you have to light it yourself . There was a roach in the shower curtain and we saw one roaming around the living room. I sent these photos and issues to the property manager but they didnât say anything about compensating or trying to fix or acknowledge it
