Full kitchen, family room overlooking the 40 foot deck that expands to the water's edge. All linens, dishes and cookware supplied along with a charcoal grill. There is room in the yard for corn hole, horseshoes, or any other small yard game. We also offer a ramp to pull your boat out of the water for overnight stays. (This property was formerly Hobie's Lakeside Lodging)
We had a blast at this lake house even though the weather did not cooperate. We pulled up chairs to the sliding glass doors and watched the waves crash over the deck. It has an amazing view and we spotted several eagles just sitting in the den watching TV. The beds were comfortable and the owners were great. We had no issues to communicate with them over our 4-day stay.
Location and price is great. Owner stayed in great communication with me and answered all my questions quickly. Only thing that could be improved is the mattresses. But this is the place to stay if you have a big group and want a place on the lake. I mean you can fish directly from the dock if you like. Highly recommended
We've been using VRBO roughly 3 times a year for about 12 years and this is only the 2nd time I am unable to leave a glowing review for a property. If I had known in advance the state of things I either would have packed differently or chosen a different property completely. But, I'll start with the positives. 1. This property has a very spacious deck on the water with a GORGEOUS view.2. The owner is very kind and responsive and checked in on us often. Even bringing us a toaster when we realized the kitchen wasn't supplied with one.3. Plenty of towels, tp, soap and clean sheets on the bedsThe negatives for our family:1. The deck and external of the house were EXTREMELY dirty and bug ridden. The deck was covered in spiderwebs and tree debree. Old plaster ducks filled with old cigarette butts and yuck. Almost as if noone prepared the deck at all for company. It looked nothing like the photos in the listing which were clean and welcoming.2. Uncomfortable beds and broken recliners that didn't recline.3. Kitchen was gross. 2 cast iron skillets and a frying pan with god knows what foods all burnt into it and covered in mystery greasy substance. My mom and I couldnt make eggs for breakfast or anything that required a frying pan. The shelving under the microwave which was missing its handle was also broken and odd bowls and random kitchenware literally just shoved in there ready to tumble out when opened. Trying to figure out how to cook with what we had was very challenging.
My wife and our son stayed for two nights. We fished and really enjoyed the deck. The house was clean and well stocked. We will consider this house for future visits to Reelfoot Lake.
Great deck and very nice layout. We enjoyed sitting on the deck for coffee in the morning and plenty of room to eat meals on the deck and enjoy the lake view.
My family loved this house. It had everything we needed. The location was perfect, the back deck is amazing and the host is so friendly. We will definitely be planning a longer stay next year.
My adult daughter and I headed to Reelfoot for a weekend so I could experience some relaxation from my stressful job. It was a perfect location with just the right amenities. The lodge was just what I needed. We spent much time out on the deck and hiking in the area. Dana was very respectful and checked in on us a few times to ensure we were well taken care of. We definitely will be back.
