Family Beach house for rent. Sleeps 5 to 6. This is a quiet getaway, about as private as it gets. Only accessible with a 4X4 vehicle. Enjoy a quick ride to the beach during the day and the sound of the waves at night. Take walks and see the wild horses! Easy access to the owner if support is needed. This is a quiet, residential area. Please be respectful. Enjoy! Saturday to Saturday only due to the cleaners schedule.

Adventure and fun in a peaceful, relaxing setting

Wonderful, peaceful setting with tons of interest for the whole family. Basking in the sun, swimming, fishing, crabbing, kayaking and hiking on the fabulous dunes of the outer banks with outings to local historic sites and nature centers. Tons of fun sans carnival atmosphere for n a quaint Back of the dunes, pristinely clean cottage.

Vacation was amazing!

We had such a Wonderful time !!! Wonderful hosts and a nice clean home to stay in for the week! Close to the water but not close enough for kids to want to walk there! Which was perfect for us with little ones! It was our first family vacation together and it couldn’t have been better! Thank you Sean and Holly for the amazing stay we will be back !

Sun and fun

Lots of sun and fun our 7 days. While rest of east US was in high 90s temps only maxed at 83 here 15 - 22 June. Do be aware of the fauna and that you could pick up ticks. Check yourself and kids.This is not a major developed area.

Secluded beach get away

My family and I stayed at Sean’s property and very much enjoyed it. The listing photos do not do it justice. The place was very clean and had everything you would need and best of all was very private in the woods. One of the evenings we had a horse eating right in the driveway. Would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a secluded getaway on the 4x4 beach. Sean was very helpful and quickly responded to all of my questions beyond during the trip. -Scott & Alisa

Not really a grill

The only thing I wish I knew earlier was the about the grill which ultimately affected cooking for the week. I assumed it was a gas grill but it was not and I did not know I needed to purchase charcoal or I would have prior to arrival or brought my portable grill from home.

very quiet, excellent condition & appliances

We had ideal weather and spent most of our time on the beach under a shady canopy. Two of us did a day trip to Hatteras Village. The 3rd person never left, except for a short exploration of the north end. The dining room table is perfect for card games, but the chairs need cushions, and some of the joints could use some wood glue.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This is a truly unique, private, and peaceful property. You will be sharing the beach and your property with wild horses that live here year round! You may get to see them while driving on the beach or in the backyard.

You are allowed to park your vehicle on the beach throughout the day as long as you display a beach parking permit. You will be provided with one beach parking permit for your stay. If the permit is lost or misplaced or stolen during your stay, there will be a $200.00 fee charged as we will have to purchase a new one from the county.

You must have a 4x4 vehicle to access the property. You will drive off of a paved road and onto the beach. You will be driving in sand for approximately 7 miles to get to the property. You must also air down your tires before driving onto the sand. You must have a 4x4 vehicle and you must air down your tires or you will get stuck. There are tow trucks readily available if you don't. But it is no small fee. If this is your first time visiting 4x4 Carova Beach, we don't recommend arriving late at night or at high tide as there are no street lights on the beach- just the moonlight and you! Please be mindful of the tide chart in advance so you know when to avoid driving during high tide.

The town of Corolla is about a 20 minute drive from the property. It is a beautiful, quaint village that has everything you would need and more! Plenty of entertainment for the whole family!

This property is about as private as it gets, as you are nestled among the trees. Although you can't see them, please be mindful and respectful of the neighbors in the area as they live here year round. Watch your noise level after 10pm.
