This place was exactly what we needed for our trip. The microwave was out of service but the host communicated that before we showed up. That was really the only thing lacking. You could tell this place has seen a lot of use but it wasn't a bad thing. My kids loved the loft and slept well on the bed up there. Aside from the microwave we had the full spread on a kitchen. I forgot a few things but there was a DG right up the road which was convenient. The place was clean, the bathrooms worked great (showers, sinks). There was a Roku set up on both TVs that the kids used a bit for breakfast time. It was really nice to be so close to the river/The Landing for the price we paid.We had a nice fire outside in the pit provided and I enjoyed the porch for a bit while the kids napped. My boys and I were bummed to leave!
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Microwave was broken, we let the host know immediately, he did nothing, he told us to slam it and that he was aware it was broken. The internet was terrible, and we were unable to watch tv the entire time. The microwave food we bought and all leftovers we wanted to heat had to be thrown out, no way to heat! He didnât respond to several Tod my text until we were on our way home and all he basically said is he will have the microwave looked at! Who cares NOW if he gets it fixed.
I have been coming to Van Buren since I was 7 years old(now63). Have always camped, but this year I changed it up, these cabins have everything you need. Location, close to everything Current River related (especially Jolly Cone)! Comfortable, private, fire pit, grill, wi-fi, and excellent climate controlled cabins, (Eskimoâs in the group). Plan on staying here again soon!
Brought my 94 yr old mother back to the Big Springs area where she grew up right outside of the gates of the park. The cabin was centrally located to be able to go wherever we wanted and easy access for my mother with the downstairs bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Our family stayed here for a couple of nights. Although it rained the entire time we enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The place was cozy, clean and comfy. HigHeHenoise
Great place! Exactly as advertised. Had an issue with the upstairs A/C but it wasnât a huge deal because the weather was nice. Only 2 minutes from town. Very convenient. I will definitely book here again on my next hunting trip.
My wife I stayed here while turkey hunting near-by. It provided everything we needed. The only draw back is highway noise - but other than that was perfect.
Did not get to stay in the cabin we rented online due to renters wanting to stay longer. Zack called us to see if we would be willing to stay in a different cabin which we agreed to do. It was cabin 2A. It was clean and had all the things we needed. I would suggest new skillets for the kitchen. I used the best one out of what was available. Could use a new mattress in bottom bedroom.
It was for my sons 12th birthday. Overall not a bad place my only complaint is the cleanliness and sanitation. There was mold on the shower curtain, mold on the sink stopper and the a/c unit was full of dirt. But it was still and decent stay.
We spent a week in cabin #3 which was very comfortable, located on a secluded side road at the edge of the woods near rt. 60 across the road from downtown Van Buren. It was one of the few pet-friendly rentals available in the area, and we spent most of our time canoeing and visiting various places along the Current and Jack's Fork River. The other cabins filled up over the Labor Day weekend but we had the whole place to ourselves for most of the week.
We had a great time! The cabin was homey and perfect for us. We were short on toilet paper though. There was a coffee maker but no coffee provided. Overall loved the woodsy feel. We will be back next year.
Our family reunion is always the first full weekend of August. Several different family members have used this property for their stay. It is always clean and neat. Its location is perfect since it is close to town and the river. We will be back.
Nice rustic cabin. Located close to The Landing where we scheduled our float trip. Mattress on bed upstairs very hard and uncomfortable. Had some trouble with air conditioning upstairs. Unit not working when we got there so it was very hot upstairs. Stopped again while we were gone the next day. Otherwise cabin was clean and provided everything we needed. Perfect for a short stay.
