We had a wonderful time in this cute cabin in the heart of it all! A previous review had noted the cabin needed a âlittle TLCâ. While that is true, it was spotless and in the prime location for a wonderful weekend away! Would stay again!
We had a wonderful time. The house is cozy and has lots of character. It has a pretty location and we enjoyed the fire. Only suggestion: it's in need of a little tlc.
We had great long weekend at this cottage. Having two full bathrooms was a big plus, and the kitchen is very well-supplied with glassware and dishes. Very clean and comfortable. We would stay again!
Had a great stay! The home was clean, comfortable and inviting. If good linens, beds and cleanliness are important to you then this is the place for you! Thanks for the hospitality. We hope to be back!
The property was perfect for our family! Nick was super responsive and helpful with everything. The patio was perfect for our dog. We spent the majority of our time outside and enjoying the lake!
Cottage is actually nicer than it appears on the site! It was clean, charming and comfortable. And, one of the extra lovely bits was that there is NOT a huge "to-do" list that they ask you to complete when leaving. Highly recommend!
2 couples for a 3 night getaway. Had a relaxing time hanging out. Reasonably priced clean property. Short distance to South Haven and beach. Would definitely stay again.
This cottage was an amazing location to paw paw lake and to St. Joseph/South Haven, etc. The place was immaculately clean, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and shower. Amazing hot water and water pressure was excellent. Host was quick to respond and we had no issues when we stayed. We would most definitely stay here again. Wanting to book again for next summer! Such a gem of a place. Thank you!
Enjoyed being close to lakes. We kayak at little paw paw lake twice. Nice clean home close to stores and restaurants. Had an issue with leak from a storm and Nick sent someone over right away to inspect. It was very important to us that we can bring our dog and Nick is very accommodating thank you Nick.
Nick's warm welcome and recommendations were helpful and made us feel at home. We were also just comfortable beyond expectation at the cottage, which was desperately needed after all the dune hiking. The beds and seating arrangements were perfect, everything was clean, the yard was open and beautifully kept, and included an easy fire pit. We used it to roast hot dogs and marshmallows our first night there. We were also able to enjoy a long sit on the porch with our dog, thanks to a friendly-looking doggie safety gate. Nick provided access to inflatable kayaks, paddles, and life preservers, which we used on Paw Paw Lake. We would love to come and stay again.
The property was very nice, vintage little home. Lots to like and appreciate. Things of note: the home was closer to a busy road than I had assumed. It was still quiet inside. The only lake access nearby is a fire lane across the street. It's rocky and shallow there, so not great for fishing. The house had window air units that had trouble keeping up on our hottest days. The sunroom bedroom got pretty warm.
Overall, we had a really great stay. The communication with Nick was great and always swift.
Welcome to my home, I currently live in Chicago and have lived all over the county. By far the Mid-West suits me well. I enjoy sharing my home with family and friends who come here to relax and to have down time. I think my dogs Hank and Wrigley love it the most enjoying the sunshine on the front porch and watching squirrels and deer in the back yard. I love to travel and collect magnets from my travels, bring a piece of home with you and add to the magnets on the fridge.
The home was previously on another site, don't worry we were a Super Host with 50+ 5 star reviews! The decision was made for the change to make it a more hands on experience for our guests and myself.
This home was built in 1941 by my neighbor's grandfather. Most of the structure comes from the 30's state fair in Indiana. The house been known as Motto Cottages which was directly across the street and still standing next door this home was cottage 9. When purchasing the home many unique items were left behind, including the piano from 1886 which was at the family's great great grandmothers speak easy which she also provided alcohol during prohibition. There are still some relics in the home as I had to update for everyday living. This home has been my pride and joy as almost every portion of the home has had some sort of renovation done.
