This stay resembles tiny house living just enough of everything you need in a small space. This 1900's home / unit was recently renovated by the artist / owner to resemble a modern rustic charm with a bohemian touch. The bed was hand crafted using rare / extinct American Chestnut. Bathroom vanity was also handmade. This unique place has a style all its own in that the ceilings are triangular just make sure to watch your head. Enjoy the morning sun and the view from this plush living space. 3rd floor access at top of staircase in second floor . If you are over 6 feet tall this space may not be for you - low attic style ceilings.
The check-in process was easy and all instructions were clear. Jonathan, the owner, was very responsive and easy to get a hold of if I had any questions. The place was cute, clean, and perfect for what I needed (a place to stay during my medical school rotation). As the review says, it is not ideal for taller guests as the roof slopes down in certain areas, but I found the place cozy.
This is an artfully restored third floor of an old house. Very clean and very well maintained. The doors are locked with an app and with a keypad and that felt very safeâ not like some places where you wonder how many people have copies of the key or the lockbox code! You should know, it is small and the furniture is all to scale- small bed (maybe a queen size? Maybe full?) small table, small living room chairs, etc. It was nice for one person. Also the stairs are super steep and narrow, challenging to get a big suitcase or anything bigger than a grocery bag up there for me. It was quiet, cool enough in the bedroom even in a 90 degree plus day, cool-ish in the rest of the place. all the windows look out into the treetops! Nice during the leafy summer time.
Property was clean and well-cared for. Check-in was easy and went well.
Steep stairs to get to unit were a challenge for this "old" man. Might be fine for the young or "young-at-heart".
If you want to have coffee, bring your own as only available coffeemaker was a French Press.
AC unit in living room area not sufficient to cool bedroom area, even on high with available standing fan.
Host was amazing at communicating, getting instruction to me, accuracy of instructions checking in with me during the stay.
The unit is thoughtfully laid out given it was a third floor attic, amd now has a kitchenette and beautiful large bathroom. Both sit between the sitting room and bedroom.
Highly recommend.
