Depuis près de 50 ans, «HappyOurs Ranch», situé à proximité du parc national de Bryce Canyon, du parc national de Zion, du lac Powell, du Grand Canyon, des dunes de sable rose corail et de nombreuses autres attractions ici dans le sud du pays des couleurs de l'Utah, est une escapade familiale et retraite comme nous avons vu nos enfants et petits-enfants profiter et explorer ce ranch de 50 acres. Un canyon de montagne unique et isolé avec des érables colorés, des pins imposants, des chênes et des ruisseaux, sera le siège privé de votre famille / groupe pendant que vous explorez les merveilles du sud de l'Utah.

Nous avons remodelé notre cabine de cowboy unique, pittoresque et confortable en 2010 pour accueillir nos clients et nous pensons qu'il offre la meilleure expérience de vie de style ranch occidental avec des commodités modernes. Cette cabine est entièrement meublée avec une cuisine complète, un salon avec des meubles en cuir, une télévision à écran plat HD / DirecTV, un DVD, une connexion Wi-Fi, une bibliothèque, une buanderie, deux salles de bains et une chambre avec lits superposés sur mesure unique avec deux lits superposés et deux lits superposés avec matelas en mousse à mémoire. À l'étage dispose d'un loft et d'une chambre queen privée pour la famille et les amis supplémentaires. Un pack-n-play pour bébé est également disponible.

La vie en plein air est à son meilleur avec deux porches couverts (un porche a deux lits simples) et une terrasse couverte avec barbecue à gaz et meubles de patio où vous pourrez profiter du canyon isolé et tranquille que nous avons apprécié depuis tant d'années et que nous voulons partager avec nos invités.

Dans le magnifique canyon de Lydia, à seulement 1,6 km de la pittoresque Heritage Highway 89 à Glendale, dans l'Utah. La paix et le silence vous étonneront. Profitez du ciel nocturne étoilé, faites une randonnée dans une ancienne grotte de chauves-souris, pêchez dans des étangs privés ou détendez-vous tout simplement et faites un barbecue sur la terrasse. C'est l'endroit idéal pour profiter de tous les trésors qui vous attendent dans le sud de l'Utah.

Perfect for us

We loved our stay at the bunkhouse. It was quiet and secluded, but easily accessible to nearby attractions. It was so comfortable. We were able to do some Astro photography at night. Our hosts were awesome and we would highly recommend aftvisiting

Delightful cabin in a quiet canyon

We’re an older couple in our seventies. This cabin is beautifully designed and constructed, and charming. The setting is very quiet and private. It’s pretty small. I would say it suits 2 adults comfortably, with perhaps one or two small children. The beds were very comfortable, however my husband is tall and didn’t enjoy having to duck and squeeze to get into the lower bunk. The two bathrooms are very spacious and accommodating, the showers roomy. I would not recommend the loft for sleeping for anyone with mobility issues—the stairs are steep and narrow. There is no air conditioning. We like to be active in the mornings, then rest in the afternoons. We were very fortunate that storms came in to cool the temperatures every afternoon. If this hadn’t happened, we would have had difficulty resting in the heat and possibly at night, though portable fans are provided. The kitchen is minimally supplied for food preparation. I usually bring my own cooking tools and supplies when we stay at a rental, but was not able to on this trip because we were flying. I would advise that if you plan to prepare your meals at the cabin, ask the owner ahead of time if the supplies you’ll need are available. The owners are dear people. They are gracious and kind, and responded quickly to our every need. They were kind enough also to leave their barn light off at night, as I wanted to experience the dark skies of Utah. Altogether a lovely and hospitable place.

Perfect little get away!

The bunkhouse was a perfect little get away for us. The hosts were very welcoming. It was fun to connect with them through a mutual friend that we had met while living in Colorado. Five stars, look forward to staying here again sometime.

What a treat to stay at the bunkhouse. Perfect location for relaxing after adventures in the area, friendly and informative hosts. We loved the place and location and hope that our future travels will allow us to return (only for longer!).

Starry nights!

The property was what we were hoping for. Great location for visiting Bryce, Zion and the North rim of the Grand Canyon. Very quiet and the skies at night were amazing. If you have never seen the Milky Way, you are in for a treat! Not many places to eat out at, which wasn’t a big problem for us as we usually prepare our own meals. Dave and Karen are wonderful people and we enjoyed talking with them both. We were kind of sad when it was time to leave, which usually doesn’t happen!

Perfect Rental for Zion and Bryce

Cabin was perfect for a family trip to the national parks. Right in the middle of Zion and Bryce. One hour drive to each and it goes quick because the scenery is beautiful. We also did the north Rim of the Grand Canyon which is more of a hike but doable. We were worried about no A/C at the cabin because there was a heatwave during our stay (110 at Zion) but the cabin is shaded a lot of the day. Just close it up during the day and open the windows in the evening and it gets cold. Our kids actually complained about being too cold in the morning. The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. You are on the horse ranch but the cabin is secluded and we never saw anyone unless we went down to look at the horses. Kids loved the bunk beds, having two full bathrooms was great, cabin was well appointed. Great stay, highly recommend!

Comfortable stay even during a very difficult time.

The cabin is so nice and comfortable. It has everything you need and more! Very quiet and private. Nice breeze and beautiful Aspen trees. We were there to spread my Dad’s remains in the area so the trip was emotional to begin with, and then my horse passed away back at home very unexpectedly. So, not the trip we wanted but I would definitely go back to the Bunkhouse. The family was so kind. I wish we could have spent more time with them.

Remote cabin

The little house itself was great. By the pictures I thought there was a field and pond adjacent to the property, but it was further down the road and driveway. We came late at night so we’re confused about which house and driveway it was. I had difficulty accessing my Vrbo info, so couldn’t review check in procedure. Cute house though and pleasant surroundings, but not much to do in immediate area for kids.

Beautiful Place to Get Away

This was such a beautiful place to stay. It was nestled in a canyon filled with lots of trees. One of the trees had a nest right outside the kitchen window with a family of birds in it. What a neat treat! The place looks like it was just built and the hosts are very kind and friendly. This is a great place to stay to see Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Great location between Bryce Canyon and Zion plus impeccable hospitality

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the cabin nestled between Bryce Canyon and Zion that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown around by Dave. We were absolutely captivated by the coziness of this place as well as the tranquility of the surrounding landscape. The cabin itself was a haven of comfort and charm. This place is so cool and peaceful! The location couldn't have been more perfect, offering easy access to both national parks while providing a serene and peaceful retreat. We were particularly thrilled with the delicious food Sarah served. It was truly a treat for our taste buds. Additionally, we thoroughly enjoyed Dave's company. His friendly demeanor and engaging conversations added an extra special touch to our experience. It was such an incredible experience, and we can confidently say that we will be coming back for more memorable moments in the future! If you're seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to two of Utah's most iconic national parks, we highly recommend this cabin!

Great Stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at The Bunkhouse. It is perfectly situated between Zion and Bryce and offers all the comforts of home. Dave and Karren were the perfect hosts, told us about the history of their property and offered tips regarding parks, groceries, etc. The Bunkhouse has a great patio with a gas grill and good sized table and chairs. After hiking all day, we utilized the grill most nights. There is a grocery store called Joe's in Panguitch that has a great meat counter along with other staples you will need. There is also a state store in Panguitch if you want a bottle of wine, spirits, or local specialty beers. We would go the extra 10-15 minutes north of Bryce to Panguitch before heading back to Glendale if we needing anything. There is also a great BBQ restaurant in Panguitch called Cowboy's Smokehouse Cafe. We hiked Zion for two days and Bryce for two days. In Zion we hiked the Canyon Overlook Trail and The Narrows. If you plan on hiking the Narrows, make sure you get there EARLY! (Be on the river by 8:00 a.m.) Otherwise, it's like a public pool. Lots of people. You can also rent special boots and socks at Zion Outfitters in Springdale. We picked up our equipment the afternoon before our hike and returned them the next day. You will need a hiking stick! In Bryce we hiked the Rim Trail the first day and went down into the canyon and did the Navajo Loop Trail and Queen's Garden Trail together. Back at the Bunkhouse, make sure you go out on the driveway or walk down by the horse pasture to see the stars! They are incredible. Saw the Milky Way and a shooting star one night. All in all, great place to stay.

Dave and Karen owners and managers, are warm and hospitable. The bunkhouse was perfect to come home to and relax after a day of hiking. Everything you need is there.

Wonderful!

We had a great time at the Bunkhouse. It had all the amenities we needed, was perfectly situated between Zion and Bryce parks, and was a perfect spot to wind down after long, hot days. During the height of the summer, the upstairs bedroom gets a bit too warm, but the lower bunk room slept quite comfortably. Highly recommend!

Lovely Cabin

The cabin was tucked away and secluded but was homey and peaceful! The property was so lovely with horses gazing in the front pasture. The hosts were very welcoming with open arms and were always there if you needed anything. The area has a country mountain feel with open wide meadows with wooded terrain. It was wonderful staying here!!!

BEST VACATION EVER

Karren and Dave are terrific hosts and the Bunkhouse is a fantastic accommodation. Located near Bryce Canyon and Zion the Bunkhouse is great for hikers like myself and my wife. I do not have enough superlatives to describe Karren and Dave, the Bunkhouse and southern Utah. We will be back!

Almost Like Home

Almost like home was "HappyOurs". In fact, Karren's grandfather painstakingly built the bungalow where he and his family spent many happy hours together, while she was a child. Karren and Dave lovingly restored it, continuing the traditions set by their forebears carving details in each room. The kitchen was well equipped with measuring tool, sharp knives, plenty of serving/mixing bowls and a few desirable provisions, ie. flour, sugar, coffee. There was a grill and back porch dining table, a near-by bench under a tree perfect for bird watching and an original front porch that Karren's grandfather had built. Ideally located between Zion, Bryce Canyon, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and complete with starry nights and friendly host and hostess just next door.

Warm & Welcoming

After 6 days of exploring the National & State Parks in the area, it was always relaxing to retreat to the horses & the setting of Happy Ours Ranch. Dave & Karin were so accommodating in every way. Dave's recommendations for exploring were always right on the mark, right down to the park elevations on the questionable weather days. We were even blessed with a dusting of snow on the fall colored leaves the last day we were there. Icing on the cake! Thank you both for such a nice stay.

Dave and Karren, your hosts, have owned this property for 33 years, and for 30 years before that, it belonged to Karren’s folks. We are retired, but are young at heart and have many children and grandchildren. We built a log home here in 1990, and after retiring a few years ago (Dave was a high school art teacher and Karren was the high school secretary), decided to remodel the old cabin into the bunkhouse to share with friends, family and guests.
