Majestic House with Unique Architecture, Forever Views, Pool, Spa, and Game Room
Gorgeous and majestic house made of Rammed Earth with stunning architecture. Two Master Bedrooms, kitchen with beautiful 40-inch stove. Many overhangs with lots of places to sit and relax all around the house. Private pool with in-ground spa. Separate building with game room: Chess, Ping-pong, and Foosball. THERE ARE MANY STEPS AND LEVELS INSIDE THIS HOUSE. PLEASE DO NOT RENT IF YOU ARE NOT STEADY ON YOUR FEET OR CANNOT EASILY NAVIGATE STEPS.
It is truly a lovely and well cared for property; you are not likely to do better in Borrego. It is scenic, clean, and comfortable and Terrie is a great host.
Wonderful trip for our family. We really enjoyed the beautiful and comfortable home, being so close to the desert and the state park entrance, and the pool.
Our second stay. Rammed Earth house is unique even for Borrego Springs. Had all amenities we needed and of course pool and hot tub were fantastic after hiking. Thanks again, Terrie!
My husband and I stayed here for our first visit to Borrego Springs. We had a great time and loved coming back to this home after our adventures. Terrie was very responsive to any questions we had. I loved the way it is decorated and the furniture is comfortable! Not always to case so it made it nice to hang our as well.
A well-appointed house exactly as advertised. The rooms are even more spacious than the pictures show. Bedrooms are separate suites on opposite ends of the house (sunrise and sunset). The house is thoughtfully furnished, there is just enough artwork and memorabilia to make it feel like home, but with generous spaces and surfaces for travelers to unpack unhindered by bric-a-brac. Terrie, the manager, is solicitous and available if needed. Walking distance to the funky little village of Borrego Springs (Old California alive and well). We two generations spent a happy week together there, we hope to return and highly recommend the property. All that's missing is that the house needs a memorable name.
In the heart of the Anza Borrego plain, this sprawling estate more than delivered just the experience I was looking for while traveling with my daughter and meeting up with my parents. This home is easy to find and is close to town and the wildflowers. The two master bedrooms provided ample, private accommodations for all while the central living and dining area accommodated us well when together. The many outdoor areas were my favorite, whether listening to the many local songbirds, watching the occasional Jack rabbit or coyote run by or soaking in the hot tub under the stars. The inside is beautifully decorated well stocked, and very cozy. A few practical items were tricky, like figuring out how to work the tv and the fancy stove but Terrie was responsive, helpful and accommodating and insured that we had a fabulous stay. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and private visit to the desert.
This getaway retreat was a big hit with the entire family. We loved everything about it. It was quiet and relaxing. We felt like we were away from everything in our own quiet world of relaxation, even though a market and restaurants are less than a mile away. Everyone agreed we would like to go back soon.
Everything about this property is even better in person. The rooms are bigger, ceilings taller, pool larger, and scenery beautiful. The check in process was simple, the house is well stocked, and there are multiple outdoor spaces. There were only two of us, but this would be a great property for two couples or for family. We'll definitely be back!
Weâve been to Borrego Springs many times over 40 years. The Majestic House name fits given its setting. There was just two of us but the place could accommodate 2 couples or family. The spa (hot tub) is outstanding and really a treat for sunset. The pool and outside area are also nice but weather was too cool during our stay to take advantage of it. Thereâs lots of porch area to soak all the desert views. Close to town for those who like to be nearby.
This place is a gem. Great views, great spaces for entertaining, super quick access to the mountains and all the outdoor activities the area has to offer!
A lovely house/home, in a great location, a wonderful kitchen to cook in, comfortable beds. The outside spaces are magical, and of course the hot tub (and dips in the cold pool) were a part of our everyday. Working with Terrie (the host) was a great experience.
Expansive views. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. One afternoon we were treated to the sight of a double rainbow. Super dark skies during our stay afforded us an incredible opportunity to see multiple constellations and stars and planets. Bring your binoculars.
Wonderful unique house, private but central location. Loved having breakfast on the veranda and drinks there in the evening. Several interior steps as mentioned by others.
Majestic House was all we expected and unique! A very cool vibe, well stocked, nice layout, and plenty of room for our group of 6 woman. The layout, closets and dressing rooms give you plenty of space for the luggage. The 2 pullouts were a bit hard, but plenty of blankets to make them more comfy.
We made great use of the pool, about 75 degrees, but refreshing. Could use some movable umbrellas.
Great playroom, which we didnât use.
Couldnât figure out the larger oven, but used the smaller one. Loved the big dining table and open floor plan, for eating and games. The steps up and down could be a challenge for some.
The host was very responsive.
A beautiful piece of property, all natural, with lots of seating and a great view of Indian Head. Would weed the areas around the pool and seating or some pathways would be my only suggestion.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.
This was a beautiful home in a spectacular location. We greatly enjoyed the pool and the hot tub (surprisingly cool temps during the time we were there). Stargazing is amazing and the home provided plenty of outdoor seating to look up at magical show in the skies. The house is very well stocked with everything needed including a great kitchen! We love catching up on favorite movies of family members and appreciated the large size TV and Starlink internet connection.
The house is also close to town and it is an easy hop to pick up groceries, shop, or go to some great restaurants.
Anza Borrego park surrounds the area and is one of natureâs wonders. All in all, a very special stay in a very special place. We would certainly stay there again!
We enjoyed this unique and beautiful home - with lots of outdoor space. The description does note the many different levels of the unique architecture -- and we found we did need to be careful moving from room to room. But the space was beautiful, the house comfortable, and it was very quiet during our stay. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the pool. Terrie was great about communicating with us, and quickly solving a small problem that we encountered.
This property exceeded our expectations! It has everything you might need for a wonderful getaway and is in a perfect location. The Owner is extremely helpful and communicative.
This is a great space to escape from the city. Home is spacious. Kids loved the game room. The pool & hot tub were great. Plus, there's a 220 outlet to charge your EV. Strongly recommend staying here.
I fell in love with Borrego Springs many years ago when I would travel from my home in San Diego for an escape from the busyness of life in the city. I have since moved to Borrego Springs and have started a vacation rental business. This is the second home I am renting (the first house is called The Poppy Desert House). I thoroughly enjoy hosting guests from afar and sharing my unique, quiet space in the desert.
You won't be disappointed when you walk in the front door. This house is majestic and architecturally unique. It is made of rammed earth and is one of only 2 rammed earth houses in all of California! The pool is amazing (it is not heated) and the in-ground spa is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the desert night sky. There are many places to sit around the property in fun red Adirondack chairs. A separate building has a ping-pong table, foosball table, and a unique chess set.
