The Lone Star Cabin 8 is located just 5 1/2 miles east of downtown Fredericksburg on US Hwy 290 right in the middle of a number of special destination points. The Cabin is approximately 1,100 square feet in size. The floor plan includes a spacious living room, full size kitchen, appliances, kitchenware, two bedrooms (Two King beds) with closets, and two large bathrooms. There is a smart TV in the living room and the Cabin has large covered front and back porches.
A well appointed, peaceful property perfect for 2 sisters or two couples! The views were lovely and the rocking chairs on the front porch make it a relaxing place for morning coffee, listening to the birds. The beds are great and the showers exceptional. Plenty of room to have privacy if you wish and nice gathering space in the middle rooms. So nice not to have TV in the bedrooms! The colors and furnishings are pleasant and not overdone.
We were in cabin 8 and it was more attractive than the pictures. Each bedroom had a large 2 sink bathroom with a large shower. Perfect for couples to enjoy the middle living area but have a private bedroom and bath. The beds were very comfortable.
We rented 3 of these cabins for our Fredericksburg stay as we were in town for a wedding at Alstadt brewery which was across the street. They are located behind the Wedding Oak Winery and are hidden from the main road. This place is a great option, especially if you have a larger party, and is so close to everything. 10 min to downtown and wineries all around. We were able to spread out across the 3 cabins so everyone had comfortable accommodations and enjoyed the quiet and relaxing area. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the wildlife and the cabins are so nice and just as pictured. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to town.
Quiet, quaint, and in the middle of our favorite places. Winery on site and alstadt brewery right across street was definitely a plus. Would highly recommend.
Stayed here for a 50th birthday weekend, our group had 5 of the homes on property and it was excellent. All of the homes are well kept/clean and the outdoor pavilion area is really nice. Highly recommend, whether you are by yourself or have a group.Side note- Cabin 8's back patio is yards from the game reserve behind it- several of the mule deer came right up to the fence and one was eating bananas right out of our hand!
The cabin is beautifully decorated and extremely clean and comfortable. The location is great-a bit outside of Fredericksburg and close to wineries and other attractions.
We loved the cabin, the amenities were wonderful and it was so clean which is my number one requirement!!! We had a great time for Oktoberfest. Itâs a great place for 2 couples. The hostess was awesome and very responsive. We cannot wait to visit again :)
We enjoyed staying in the cabin # 8. It was clean and very well taken care of. On Sunday evening with grill some steaks and cooked in the cabin. So nice that the kitchen had everything needed to have a fantastic meal. We will be returning.
We had a great time at cabin#8! It is perfect for 2 couples. It was clean, well appointed and in a great location. Great attention to little details like plugs near both nightstands to plug in device chargers, extra blankets, pillows, etc. The only thing that would make it better would be two luggage stands in each room instead of just one per room.
This was our 3rd or 4th time to stay in the Lone Star cabins. James and Joseph take such excellent care of their properties! The cabins are always fresh and clean and stocked with the basic essentials: water bottles, coffee, creamerâŠ. We love staying at Lone Star and weâll definitely be back there again soon!!
Quick trip for hunting and spending time in Fredericksburg. Cabin 8 was exactly as described and beyond our expectations. Very nice and close to everything.
