Lax Lake View Retreat

Construction completed in January 2023. Everything is brand new. Beautiful place to begin, end or spend your day.

Enjoy a panoramic view of Lax Lake, rolling hills and star-filled nights with your family and friends. Many hiking trails nearby. Snowmobile and ATV trails can be accessed at bottom of driveway.

Located outside of Silver Bay and 7 miles from Hwy 61. Central to all activities the Northshore has to offer.
The space
Open floor plan with large floor-to-ceiling windows that allow you to enjoy gorgeous views. Main floor bedroom suite with king bed. Two second floor bedrooms with queen beds. Large bonus room with two double beds, sleeper sofa and additional entertainment area.
Guest access
The complete house is yours to enjoy. Two stall heated garage is included.
Other things to note
NOTE: In winter months, an all-wheel drive vehicle is required to rent this home.

We had 4 couples stay on our annual 4 day Atv ride. The House is spacious and well designed. Rooms are perfectly setup. Kitchen is amazing. The view is absolutely stunning. The host was fast to respond to any questions or issues!

Fourth of July week!

We had an amazing vacation with a beautiful view of the lake. This home is more beautiful than the pictures. Such a great location to make it to the many state parks that the north shore has to offer. We really enjoyed the beauty at Black beach which was just a short drive away. LAX Lake was great for fishing and tubing! Terry was great with communication during our stay, and we left with great memories! The kids are already asking to go back!

Wonderful Area!

Beautiful property on top of a hill that overlooks the lake - Terry was very responsive to our needs if we had any. We will definitely be back! Hopefully we can come back when the trees are changing fall colors!

It was a great house with great views. Owners were very responsive to messages and friendly. ATV trails are close to the property. We will definitely be booking again when traveling to this area.

Comfort with the most beautiful view

Excellent!!!! Wish I could stay forever. We road trails very close also enjoyed numerous local attractions.Spent a day in Duluth Canal Park, went for boat ride on Vista Fleet and road a train to Two Harbors. Will return to complete journey so much to do.

Family Getaway

Wow, wow, wow! What a beautiful house with matching beautiful views. Came here with my husband’s family and there was plenty of space for everyone, close proximity to all the parks, incredible view, and everything you needed was supplied. Amazing communication from the host, it was absolutely perfect. We will be back!

We stayed here the end of September to go ATVing and enjoy the fall colors. This home is just gorgeous, so clean, the furniture and beds were so comfortable. Plenty of towels and everything we needed to cook our meals. We could access the trails right from the driveway. We enjoyed the inside and outside fireplace. Great to sit outside by the fire and have a glass of wine after a long day of riding. And the view.... wow spectacular! Terry was great to communicate with. Checked in everyday to ask if we needed anything, always responding immediately with us. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy another time.

Family Vacation

Our family of five adults and two children (ages 8 and 3) enjoyed this beautiful home as we explored the North Shore area. The home was immaculate with plenty of room for our family to play, relax and prepare meals together. The view is beautiful and the home is equipped with everything we needed. Communication with the host was easy and Terry made sure everything was in order for us. Hiking trails, parks and other attractions are only minutes away. We loved our stay and all of us agreed that we’d love to come back again!

More beautiful than we imagined

Spectacular house on an incredibly beautiful site. Thousands of stars at night, and each morning watching the sunrise brighten the colors of Lax Lake. Short drive to great hiking trails, then back to the wonderful chalet for a glass of wine (or two :-) in front of the stone fireplace. If a Dr wrote a prescription for relaxation it would say: “ The house at Lax Lake.”

Beautiful home with a beautiful view

This home is so beautiful. It felt like home as soon as I drove up to the top of the driveway and saw the beautiful view. The inside was comfortable and clean. With the wall of windows, you can still enjoy the outside while being inside. This is a perfect place to recharge and with it being so close to trails, the perfect place to do some activities as well! Terry, the manager, was very responsive and available, making sure I had what I needed. Highly recommend this wonderful home!

Amazing home with a spectacular view

This property certainly has a WOW factor. As soon as we drove up, we were blown away at the amazing view over Lax Lake and the rolling hills. All of the living spaces were large and very comfortable. Within 15 min of Tettegouche Visitor Center with plenty of trails to hike. This feels secluded and off the map with only being a short drive from Hwy 61. I can only imagine what the fall colors would look like here. Everything went smoothly and I didn’t have to worry about anything. Very impressed with this place and their attention to detail. Thank you for such a great long weekend!

Perfection!

Everything was beyond perfect! Marvelous view through extra large windows, luxurious beds and linens, brand new feeling to everything, gourmet kitchen which we took full advantage of! We ended up getting snowed/sleeted in, so no skiing or hiking, but what a perfect place to spend 48 hours with beloved friends and family celebrating a 70th birthday. We ate, played games, talked and laughed at the comfortable dining table and on the comfy couches and chairs in front of the fireplace . Very comfortable with 7 people. Plenty of seating. They even had a lovely, live, decorated Christmas tree, tasteful decorations and a live Christmas centerpiece on the dining table. I'd give this place a 10! Thank you for giving us such a lovely backdrop to create more memories with out of state family! Greatly appreciated!
