Newly renovated second-floor apartment guest house located in popular Olde Towne Daphne. Walking distance to parks, restaurants, churches, and Mobile Bay. Two blocks off of Daphne Mardi Gras parade route. Short walk to the sunsets over Mobile Bay. Use this as your base of operations for a long weekend exploring the Eastern Shore, or for a longer stay. Private bedroom with comfortable queen bed and large living area with pull out couch, tv, desk, and dining table.
The guest house is located in the backyard of our full-time home, so we do request that the quiet hours are to be respected (10pm - 7am)
The pictures are deceiving. Looks like all the furniture was bought at a thrift store. The mattress was horrible. The host tried to make it better by adding a mattress topper but that didn't even help. Two people could not sleep comfortably on the queen bed. The couch was no better. It was uncomfortable to sleep and sit on. The bath towels were like rags, and there was only one hand towel. The inside smelled extremely musty, therefore when we were at the property we stayed on the porch. It was just the lack of care. I would never invite someone to my home under these conditions let alone charge someone. At least buy some new towels and wait to update the mattress and sofa. Even at the lower cost I would not recommend this VRBO. We left a day early to check into a hotel to get a good night sleep before heading home. I have never written a negative review and hesitated to do so. Maybe the host will take some steps to make their guests more comfortable in the future, especially since you are staying in their back yard.
Perfect for us. We needed somewhere low cost and near mobile bay for guys trip and this was it. Very nice, clean and seemed to be very good neighborhood
We loved staying here We had everything we needed & the neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. Apparently a new custard business had opened but the line was too long to wait. The area around it was like an old Main Street with coffees & cafes. It was very quaint. We enjoyed our trip very much!!
Staying in Daphne for a baseball tournament and this place was the Perfect size for our family. Very clean, very spacious, comfortable bed, and the couches/ sleeper sofa is very comfortable! Walking distance to a fishing pier, close to everything you could need. We did bring an extra cooler for ice because of the fridge size but it was perfect size for us. Family owned frozen custard right down the road that is really good. Also some small family owned restaurants close by. Super quiet neighborhood!
I was looking for a quiet little place to just unwind for a couple of days and this place was perfect. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck. The couch was comfy for a quiet evening of reading. The bed was comfortable however, the pillows were extremely soft making them uncomfortable. Bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner and shower wash if thatâs what you need. Washer and dryer have a supply of laundry soap if needed. I didnât even mind the kids playing in the yard. Just needed the time away from work, phones and email. Thanks for everything!
We had a great stay in Daphne - we were just here for a couple of days, but this guest house had everything we needed. The location in Old Towne was perfect for us. Everything was just as described - highly recommended!
This lodging was perfect for our small group during our stay in Daphne. It is close to everything, is located within a very charming neighborhood and was clean and well appointed. When we return, we will consider staying here again.
Very quiet neighborhood, guest house above detached garage just a short walk across the back yard. Nothing fancy but just what I needed for a short stay.
