Funky, cute, great location

Funky back house in a typical souther california beach city. Was easy to get to, and was well located for all the places we visited. Doordash had no problem finding us. Cute house, all the lights, had everything we needed. House was also ventilated and cool, which is appreciated. Wifi was easy to locate and log in to, first aid kit (nice touch), the roku was easy to use. Plants were real and beautiful. Check out was easy. Host was fast to reply to my question. Would stay here again. use. Would book again.

Near Everything

The property is easy to find and is near all the freeways so that it is easier to get around town. I would definitely recommend for a short little gatway with the family :)

Great bungalow for access to East Mission Bay: Wingfoiling and Rockets and more...

Tidy, cute, dated, beach, bohemian, bungalow in a funky little back-house with great access to East Mission Bay. We had three great days of wing foiling, hiking, and explorin' the area. I happened to walk into the tight tiki back area at just the right time to look up and see a rocket flying by... So if rockets are the type of thing that floats ur boat, this might be a sweet little spot to book for a launch. The window, the front yard (or better...the beach, a mile away) would have made for a better pic but I was more interested on watching than documenting. Great comms with host.

Nice stay, but the property needs some upgrades.

The location was very convenient to all of the beach and downtown amenities. The area is a bit older and there were a few homeless people around, but nothing scary or difficult. When we arrived, the garbage disposal was broken and was not fixed until the next day. The mattresses were kinda old and not very comfortable, along with the couch. On the second day, we found that the keyless entry lock was broken and did not allow us to lock the apartment securely. Also, the internet service was weak and the TV was not connected to the internet service on the first day. Melly was responsive, but it took a day or two to address everything.

TopGun Trip

I recently booked a vacation rental through this location and had a rather mixed experience. While the check-in process was relatively smooth, I was disappointed with the accuracy of the house pictures and the overall cleanliness of the property. The check in process went smoothly and the host provided us accurate instructions for accessing the property. However, as soon as I stepped in, I noticed that the pictures of the house did not match the pictures on the Vrbo listing. The decor and furnishings were not modern or well maintained like the photos portrayed. The presence of spider webs throughout the house was unsettling and indicated a lack of thorough cleaning. Despite these disappointments, I will acknowledge that the location was convenient and the host was responsive and efficient during the check in process.

Lack of communication and amenities

I have rented and stayed at several VRBO's and I never complain. The description had certain amenities and several items listed as amenities were not there. I packed accordingly as we were on the second leg of our trip and then was not able to do laundry or access the WIFI. The following were the issues I had; *Trouble getting in with code *No WIFI *No hair dryer *No access to the laundry room, it was locked *No light on the entry, which is a flight of stairs. There is an outside door with no windows, a flight of stairs and then an interior door at the top, the light did not work, it was pitch black. *No lights in the kitchen- all bulbs were out *Only one light in the family room. *No patio, it was a 4ft by 4ft square of fake grass with a table and chairs on it. I was very disappointed with this rental. We were relying on the WIFI for movies and to check in with work. We also planned to do laundry and use the hair dryer as we had gone to the beach but did not have one there. Having lights that are not working is a safety issue, in one bedroom there is a step and the light had to be turned off by the door and I tripped a few times. The owner was not responding to my messages and never did get back to me on any of the issues.
