All in all it was a very pleasant stay the only exceptions was the close proximity to the road especially when the cars with loud music and loud exhaust were driving by. The homeless lady living in the woods near the house was also a little disconcerting.

Great Location

Not directly in Kailua-Kona… but a short drive away. Was perfect for us. Lots to do around Kailua Kona. Beautiful property right on the golf course. Fully equipped kitchen. BBQ grill on deck (with which we made a great steak dinner). Restaurants, grocery store and drug store just five minutes away.

Really enjoyed our stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We loved the little welcome basket from the property manager. The condo was clean and comfortable. It is even more spacious than it looks in the pictures. We didn’t do much cooking, but the kitchen was well stocked including a nice washer/dryer. We also didn’t have time to enjoy the amenities, but the grounds were nice. The location is great. So close to activities and restaurants and shops. We loved being right off of Ali’i Drive. We even saw part of a free hula show in the shopping center right across the street from the complex. We really did enjoy our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Ok stay if you lower your expectations

Generally the stay was decent. The check in and check out processes were smooth, instructions were clear, and we had no issues with communicating with the property manager. Pictures made us think the property was much more updated, bright, and airy than it actually was. The property is pretty old and while minor things have been updated, we're talking about "old" to the point that surfaces are getting "sticky". There isn't very much light that gets in there (natural or artificial). Both of these things were not what the pictures implied, which is my biggest problem (picture misrepresentation). Location is pretty decent. We had gecko friends living inside with us (not a problem) and found two dead cockroaches throughout our stay (not traumatic but not sure whether this was par for the course, i.e., island normality, or just dirty).

An Unexpected Adventure

Reviewer Comments: We started our stay at the Sea Village in mid=January, however, a condo over ours developed a leak that saturated our kitchen ceiling and caused a flood on the floor. To my disappointment we could not stay in the condo. The real story is about how expertly this emergency was handled by Knutson's Realty. Blake was called early on a Sunday morning by a number of people to determine what needed to be done. Despite the early hour he immediately started working with us on various options. In January there really are very few, if any, properties that have an oceanfront view like we had to vacate. Despite this, Blake took immediate action to come up with a suitable plan. Ultimately, he had us meet with Claire at the Kona Coast Resort where there was a (huge) 2 bedroom/ 2 bath condo. This condo was in a delightful resort area with swimming pools and cafe/bar. The condo we stayed in was in 2201. It was very clean, well stocked including those things you really don't want to buy on vacation like spices, paper products, and cleaners. The bedrooms were large and each had a full bathroom. This was great for our group. The lanai was covered and the width of of the living room and bedroom. It had great outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There are picnic tables around the property with BBQs if you prefer. The condo was close to shopping and groceries.The only downside to this property was the location. It adjacent to Alii Drive. It is great for walking and close the the snorkeling park. There are times of the day that you will hear traffic from the room. A/C was available but we did not need to use it. We did not use it and we were comfortable with overhead fans and open windows. A big thank you to Blake and Claire for all they did to make our annual Aloha time work!

The property is beautiful and so is the condo. There’s plenty of space, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything from basic utensils to a waffle maker. My wife and I had a wonderful time.

Perfect location - not far from town, close to shopping, and easy to get to. The resort was beautiful too. The pools were delightful, gyms clean, and the restaurant on the property had everything you needed (minus being able to order lattes, etc.).The only problem is that when we booked a flight back to Kona in January we were disappointed to learn that this place was already booked! Next time we will check availability before we book our flight. 😊

Our 2nd stay at Kona Coast Resort. Very nice property, quiet and very convenient. Love having 2 options for pool time and a restaurant/bar on the property is an added bonus. The Kona sunsets from this location are beautiful.

Lots of room and all items needed were available. Clean and well maintained. AC took hours to get bedrooms from 86 to 80 degrees. Bedroom temp was ok after finally getting cool. AC for living and kitchen area not adequate.

Excellent property, vary spacious kitchen, living room and both rooms were spacious as well. This unit is a corner unit with a nice view of that is not obstructed by other units. Complex has two pools, nice park, gym and an activity booth to book excursions etc. 5 min walk takes you to a nice shopping area with restaurants, farmers market, grocery store and drug store. I would not hesitate to stay again next time im in Kona.

Spacious Property

The property was very spacious in a beautiful resort. The kitchen was well stocked, the property managers were very helpful and the the grounds of the resort are very well kept. We did have to pay for air conditioning but it was well worth it.

Wonderful location and beautiful condo!

We loved waking up to the birds and the view of the golf course. Place was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything needed. We would definitely stay here again, and just wished we owned it!

Lovely & quiet

We had a lovely week staying here. 4 adults so plenty of room in well appointed condo. Clean and tidy property with great relaxing pool nearby. The only issue was with the access to wifi when called provider had to to leave a message which they did not return. When did get access it was not secure. Everything else was as advertised. Overall a lovely stay.
