Perfect place to stay while visiting Bryson City. Easy walk to town and train station. The Plott House was quiet, very clean, and comfortable! History of the house was explained and items from the build shared. It was nicely decorated and had everything we needed for our stay.
Beautifully curated. We got to listen to live music on the balcony at night, but shut the doors, and it's quiet on the house. This place was built and decorated with intention. We WILL be staying here again on our next visit
It's hard for me to say enough nice things about the Plott House. I thought the pictures online made it look nice, but it was even better in person. Everything just seemed really well thought out. Really comfortable bed, great bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, great living room. Can't think of anything that hasn't been provided. Just a really comfortable place to come back to after a day exploring Western North Carolina.
We had a wonderful stay at the Plott House! The home is beautifully decorated with light woodwork, open shelving in the kitchen, and thoughtful finishes throughout. Everything was spotless, and the check-in and check-out directions were clear and simple. The location was perfectâjust a quick, easy walk to town for the tap room and local restaurantsâyet the house still felt private and peaceful. I would gladly stay here again!
Beauty in walking distance to town! Very clean as well. We enjoyed the owners art work throughout the house. Also visiting her art store in town and their bakery and store as well. A peaceful wonderful getaway was had here! Owner was super responsive to any questions as well. Highly recommend staying here.
Plott House is one of the nicest rentals we have stayed at, and it provided everything we needed for our stay in Bryson City. We loved being able to walk to town and the train. The house was clean and comfortable and Ashley's attention to detail was spot on. Highly recommend it and would definitely consider staying there again should we be in the area.
Wonderful place to stay. Had everything to make our stay perfect. Clean and well stocked. We walked to downtown that only took us 3-5 minutes. Thank you for making a great place! We are going to plan another stay here for our next trip.
We stepped in a cozy and inviting atmosphere, this quaint cottage was beyond our expectations for we knew nothing about its design. The photos doesn't do it justice. The location was fine, no traffic noise because it was on a dead end street. But no need to set an alarm, there is a neighborhood rooster that will wake you bright and early! The charming home was clean and modern, the only setback was the sofa wasn't comfortable for relaxing and to watch tv, since there wasn't one in the bedroom. I had tried booking other places in the area that had been filled prior and was pleased that we found The Plott House, it was a perfect escape from the fast-paced modern world.
My husband and I decided to take a quick trip to the mountains to enjoy time together. We're expecting baby 2 in a few months and this little house was perfect. We were able to walk down to Bryson City's downtown area to eat, shop, and hop on the Great Smoky Mountain Railway for a ride.
The space itself is super adorable - plenty of space for just the 2 of us. The bathroom is spacious, given the overall size of the house, and it was nice to have access to a dishwasher and a full sized washer and dryer. The kitchen was easy to cook in, and it was nice to be able to look out the window at the mountains while standing at the stove or sink.
Long story short - excellent stay, and we hope to be back one day to rent the farmhouse next door with our family!
The Plott House is magazine beautiful. We watched the build on TV. Itâs great for a weekend. The hosts have done well to provide the things guests would need. It was very clean. The kitchen is user friendly, but we didnât cook while staying. The road is very narrow, and nearby trees were dropping tennis ball sized nuts into the road. None of these nuts fell into the parking area, thank goodness. We are older. Iâm 55 and my husband is 74. We would have welcomed a no slip mat to use in the shower, as it gets very slippery when rinsing soap and conditioner. Something with drawers or baskets for clothes to unpack into in the bedroom. More than 5 hangars in the closet. A pair of hooks in the bedroom for robe and night clothes to be placed during the day. We had trouble with the love seat sliding back when trying to stand up from sitting on it. It would slide back into the dinette in the kitchen, moving it all. Some type of rubber cup on the feet, or some extra piece of wood secured to the floor to stop the movement. The chairs with arms on the back deck were much easier to get out of.We came to ride the train and see fall color. We enjoyed ourselves. Walked to downtown everyday. We visited the hostess at her art gallery and brought home an art piece. The bakery on Main Street was our favorite spot. The cinnamon rolls were amazing, great coffee, and wonderful cheesecake! We also enjoyed the animal rescue society thrift store across from the Ford dealership. Thanks so much!
We loved it as it was very much as advertised. Short walk to downtown Bryson City so food, shops and railway were all readily available. Super quiet at night and the property itself was nicer than expected so we'll definitely be back. May try to get the bigger sister site next door and bring another couple with us.
Smokey Mountain Railroad was just a walk down the road and downtown was also just a walk down the road. Very convenient. Love Ashleyâs paintings in the house too!!
This was the perfect location to walk to downtown without feeling like you are right next to the hussle and bussle! And the house itself was so beautifully designed and decorated. Felt so peaceful staying there.
We absolutely loved staying in the Plott House in Bryson City, NC! We had everything we needed and the layout/decor was very inviting and comfortable. It is perfect for two people getting away for a few days. We actually got to enjoy a beautiful rainbow from the back deck on our last evening!
We watched Plott house be built on Perkins Builder Brother's YouTube channel so it was really cool getting to actually stay there. The house is wonderful and perfect for a weekend getaway!! Highly recommend and would stay there again.
The property was perfect - clean, well equipped and roomy. Short walk to restaurants and scenic railroad was ideal and short drive to National Park. The neighborhood is a bit run down but it was quiet and safe. We will definitely stay againOwners were very helpful and resolved a barking dog problem very quickly with a neighbor.
I live in the Great Smoky Mountains in the adorable small town of Bryson City. I am a full-time artist and have a small gallery/art studio at 120 Main Street. My husband is co-owner of Bryson City Outdoors/Taproom and the BCO Market/Bryson Bakery. We are partners with the Perkins Builder Brothers and have saved many old houses in the area. We love our cute little town and the beautiful mountains that surround it.
The neighborhood is located right downtown with an easy walk to restaurants, shops and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Depot. The central location is only a few miles away from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and also a great location for day trips to Ashevlle, Gatlinburg, Cashiers, Franklin and Fontana. Also being right downtown in the winter is a plus because the roads are quickly cleared.
