Absolutely love this place. So very peaceful and cozy. Hated leaving. Had the best sleep I've had in long time. Very helpful owners and quick response to questions. The pictures matched the property and was more than expected. Thank you.
Our stay was wonderful. We had trouble unlocking the keyless entry, but there was a key available. Everything we needed was there, especially in the kitchen. It was quiet and peaceful. Their description was accurate- it's a very curvy road getting there, but it was beautiful!
check-in was easy. They sent an email with great directions to the cabin and the code to the door. We didn't cook, but the kitchen looked well stocked and very clean.
It was very nice.the porch could of have some kinda of cover porch so you can sit out listen to the rain instead we had to stay inside because everything was wet every day it rain
The location is where you can enjoy silence. Raise the back windows and listen to the stream flowing all night long. Kitchen has everything needed to prepare food except for the food you bring with you. Cellphones do not work except for messaging with the included wifi. Would recommend doing the 5+ mile curvy road in the daytime the first time. Will rent again. Thank you
Imagine staying at your grandma's with a homey and comfortable mix of older furniture, afghans and pillows on every chair and couch, knick-knacks on all surfaces, complete with doilies, a kitchen with every kind of pan and utensil, and the sound of a flowing creek in the background!
Had the weather been a little warmer, we would have enjoyed the sunny enclosed porch and the creek side deck also.
The hostess was great at communicating. The cabin was well supplied with everything we needed and more than many places we have stayed.
Be aware, as other guests have mentioned, that there are some different levels within the cabin which means a few steps up and down. Also I gained a few grey hairs traveling the narrow and very curvy road to the cabin, especially when our minivan met a school bus. But the views are beautiful and the location is a great spot to rest after a day of hiking in the Smokies. We had a wonderful vacation.
We stayed here for a weekend trip. It was very comfortable and easy to relax. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to be able to cook our meals instead of always going out. The outside was beautifully done and has a nice stream running through. Very happy with this property.
Very quaint, comfy, nice cabin. Very peaceful. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short 3 days due to Hurricane Helene! But the 3 days we were there were awesome! Will definitely keep this one in mind for our next trip to the area. Thank you.
This is truly a quaint cabin. Its perfect in so many ways. It has that welcoming feeling like you get going to grandma and grandpa's house as a kid. Beautiful cabin inside and out, beautifully kept up yard, and a beautiful creek in the back yard. The fire pit sitting up from the creek was just the icing on the cake. On top of all that, the host was super nice, and answered all my questions, even giving little tips of places to go! She even tipped me off where to see Elk, and she was right! I saw a herd of Elk and even got, not only see, but hear a bull elk bugle! Best trip ever!
Cabin was adorable, plenty of space inside for more than the 2 people we traveled with. Kitchen was well equipped. The backward was gorgeous, loved sitting out by the creek. Felt pretty secluded even though there were other places nearby (couldnât be seen from the house). Drive was windy but only 20 minutes from town. Wifi was good but no cell reception.
Came for a get away for some much needed me time. It was exactly what I wanted and needed. Away from any towns but close enought to geat where I wanted to go if I decided to go anywhere. First two days never left. It was amazing. Sitti g outside watching the stars and listening to the creek and crickets and frogs. I didnt want to leave.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
this rental is not for 100% disable Veterans, was very hard to enter and leave the property
was a nice visit but should have stated entrance to the house was not for disable veterans, also no way to get to the creek in my electric wheel chair, was nice cabin, but not for the disable. Plan to sent a copy of the description to the American Disable Ass. for False Adverting . Have a great day.
This quaint cabin has the best equipped kitchen of any VRBO we've stayed at. What a happy surprise! Being seniors & one with balance issues, it would have been helpful to know about the 8 steps down to the cabin plus the steps inside down to the bedroom/bath. The pictures online don't show them and they're not mentioned in the description. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hosts were very helpful & responded quickly to our questions.
Enjoyed the peace away from all the hustle of the city but that we were close enough to all the attractions. Beautiful little cabin. Will definitely stay again.

After our first grandchild was born, Don and I purchased this sweet place so that we could have time with family. The cabin is approximately 100 years old and our son, who is a local building contractor, remodeled and made it in to this wonderful place. Our residence is in New Hampshire but we spend six winter months here at the cabin.
Couldn't resist the ever-flowing Alarka Creek which is just 30 yards from the cabin as well as the little creek that runs down the property in to the Creek. The property is private and picturesque.
