Our chalet is new to Vrbo, We would love to earn our first 5-star review by giving you an exceptional experience! We are a couple and this is our beloved vacation home, we have been hosting for the past 3 years with excellent reviews (in the competitor's platform) and want to give Vrbo a chance, we are offering a low night price to kickstart our property here! any questions please feel free to ask!

summer escape! Relax in a cozy chalet up in the mountains. Rejuvenate with our outdoor jacuzzi nestled in the forest, enjoy the bonfire under the stars, and cozy up next to the chimney while enjoying a book or a movie. Pied-a-terre is the perfect place for an escapade.
Located in a secluded community surrounded by forests, hiking trails, and private lakes, our chalet offers all the privacy and security of a small community right at the heart of the mountain.
The chalet is an adults-only space
LIVING ROOM
The Chalet opens up to an ample living room with a beautiful stone fireplace. Grab a book and enjoy the fire; we have a small “Bibliotheque” full of interesting reads. If you want to get cozy and watch a movie, the central cabinet lifts the tv up so you can watch TV comfortably.
Light up the fireplace or play any of the fun board games; we even have adult coloring books!

KITCHEN
Our kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to cook any meal at home. Get inspired by any of our recipe books and if you feel a bit European, try the fondue machine!

GUEST ROOM
The cozy guest room features a custom bunk bed with two sleeping spaces, a comfortable queen bed on the bottom, and a relaxing full XL. Check emails or do some work on the little workspace. Fully dimmable ball lights create a cozy ambiance for a perfect night of sleep

MASTER BEDROOM
A big king bed is the centerpiece of the master bedroom. We offer lots of space for organizing and storing your belongings. A working area and a little night reading library complete the room.

OUR ETHOS
We are committed to offering an experience that is in tune with nature and the earth. Our shampoo and shower gels are sulfate-free, non-toxic, and plant-based. Our pillows are made of organic bamboo; our laundry detergent is biodegradable and hypoallergenic, and our organic coffee comes directly from a small Finca in Colombia. We pay attention to the details to make your experience extraordinaire!

OUTSIDE
Enjoy the front porch area with a hanging swing and a little living space at the front, perfect for spotting wild deer and birds. The back offers a relaxing jacuzzi nestled inside the trees and, walk a little and you will find our rustic fire pit, the ideal space to enjoy a hot drink outside while listening to the sounds of nature and the stars

Perfect birthday getaway

Lovely, quiet chalet tucked into private lake neighborhood. The cabin is immaculate and we adored the French touches! Owner was very responsive and talked us through some minor issues after a storm knocked out power. Hot tub is enormous and clean - great spot to congregate after a long day of hiking. The yoga mats were a nice addition and we did actually use them on the deck !

Fantastic first time experience

This was the perfect property for our first VRBO experience. The listing was very descriptive and everything was as described. No surprises at all. Property was gorgeous and the home guidebook answered any question we may have had. The cabin was stocked with any utensil or appliance you may need. My favorite part of the cabin was the outdoor areas. There are lots of places to enjoy nature, plenty of outdoor seating, fire pit, hot tub, barbecue area and a deck that makes you feel as if your sitting in the trees! We couldnt have been more pleased with our stay.

Together we run "pied-a-terre" (French for a refugee), a little hidden gem tucked inside North Carolina mountains. We want to share our fascination with this special place and bring the same multicultural diversity to our chalet.

We are very active and enjoy hosting people. If you are an athlete interested in biking, swimming, running, or an artist that can appreciate a good book or stimulating conversations, you have found your people.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property is located inside the Riverbend community area, featuring two private lakes, hiking trails, and waterfalls. It is a quiet and private neighborhood away from the city's noise and full of abundant nature. The river surrounding the community is perfect for tubbing and swimming. You can find zip-lining and one of the best taco trucks in the area less than a mile away. In Lake Lure, you can find the marina and rent a boat or relax at the lake "beach."

If you want to explore further, the area is surrounded by many little and charming towns. Chimney Rock is located about 20 minutes away. You can visit all the quaint gem stores and explore the hikes at Chimney rock park.

The orchards and pumpkin fields of Hendersonville are about 25 minutes away. Black mountain, Saluda, and Rutherfordton will offer cute cafes, boutiques, and icecream parlors. A visit to Asheville vibrant and multicultural downtown will take you 45 minutes through a beautiful scenic mountain drive. Once there, you can explore the Blueridge parkway. The fantastic thermal belt is 25 minutes away, featuring an uninterrupted bike and running path for 13 miles straight.
