Welcome to The Steele Magnolia!! Completely renovated 2 bed/1ba plus bonus futon couch. We are located directly across the street from Von Stiehl Winery and are just a few minutes walk to Crescent Beach!

Please note that we are on the second story of the apartment building, and it is not handicap accessible. If you are unable to take the stairs, you may want to consider booking on the first floor. :)

My husband and I also frequently stay here, I’m letting you know as we may see each other in passing!

Algoma, Wisconsin is a quaint community nestled on the western shore of Lake Michigan at the southern end of the Door Peninsula. Come and take the Charter fishing trip of a lifetime on Lake Michigan, stroll the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk, relax with a glass of wine from a historic winery or spend the day shopping and sightseeing. There is something for everyone!

No matter what you plan to enjoy in Northeast Wisconsin, Algoma is the ideal place to call home base. You can enjoy the peace and quiet and all that Algoma offers while being just a short drive away from Door County to the north, Scenic HWY 42 to the south, and Green Bay to the west.

The property does have parking lot with one designated parking space per unit. For example if you are staying in unit 5, you will be designated parking spot number 5. If you have more than one of car, there is additional parking on the road or at the park down the street.

Note: This unit has completed its renovations however we are waiting on our professional photos. The decor is similar but not the exact layout. This unit will include a green velvet couch and gold hardware.

To access Unit 5 you will want to enter through the door with the side lights, which is accessed and visible from the parking lot. You will go up the stairs on your right and Unit 5 will be the first door to your left on the second story.

Opening the front door you will find the floors to have all new luxury vinyl flooring and tastefully decorated. In the living room I have chosen the seating arrangement to be conversational and inviting. This includes an 84” sleeper futon couch, relaxing furniture, board games, variety of books and a large smart TV. Note: There is also an AC window unit located in the living room. If the temperature is hot outside, I recommend to turn the AC unit on when you check in so you can cool the suite off while your outside enjoying the town!

Through the living room opens to the hallway with the bathroom and bedrooms. The bathroom is fully renovated which includes a tub/tiled shower and beautifully designed tile floor. Each bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and one of them is set up with a desk and chair for those who still need to do some work on vacation. Note: The bedroom to the right has a locked door. Inside the locked door are extra supplies for our cleaners. The bedroom to the left has plenty of hangers for everyone to utilize.

Entering into the kitchen which has all new cabinetry and full tile wall backsplash. I have added a counter height dining room table which includes 4 chairs. The kitchen also has an exit door that leads out to the other staircase. You can use the same code for either door to exit/enter the building.

We are beginning renovations on this property in May 2022. I take great care in designing properties specifically with relaxation in mind and can't wait for you to relax and enjoy this property that is within walking distance to everything in Algoma!

Each unit has 1 parking spot in the parking lot. The parking spot has each unit number listed on the pavement. There is free parking anywhere on the side of streets. The Steele Magnolia is directly walking/biking distance to everything in Algoma, from being across the street from Von Stiehl Winery, Von Stiehl Cider Bar, Anaphee Brewery, Smashed on the Rocks, charter fishing, downtown shopping and food, and the beautiful sand beach and boardwalk.

This property is a 9-unit apartment building. We do have other long-term renters in the building in units 6-9. This summer we plan on having a newly paved parking lot as well!

Laundry:
We do not have any washer and dryer hookups however we are lucky enough to have a laundry mat right next door!

Bugs:
Even though we have sprayed inside and outside twice a year, we are by the water! You can expect to see a few insects here and there.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Krissi was so great to work with and helped us with our booking when we had issues with the app. This location was perfect for a last minute road trip to explore Door County! We loved that it was within walking distance to everything in Algoma. The condo itself was super clean and so cozy! We loved that it was pet friendly so we could bring our pup without having to get a sitter. Great location! We will be back!

Amazing stay!

We picked this property in Algoma, WI as a home base to explore Door County and Green Bay. What a great choice! The property is within walking distance to Crescent Beach, restaurants, a brewery, and the grocery store. Super clean, perfectly set up apartment. We couldn’t have been happier for our family summer getaway!

Steele Magnolia Review

The apartment is furnished with top notch furniture. It all looks brand new. The building is clean and neat. Ive stayd at a few differnt VRBOs and I can honestly say the managers are the best I've ever dealt with. They were very responsive (usually within minutes) to any concern. Its a great place to go to get away for a weekend or for a longer stay.

great place to stay!

Planned to do a condo with family for a fishing trip. When condo didn’t accept pets, we hunted for a place. GLAD we did! This place was FANTASTIC! Amazing attention to detail. Clean and very cutely decorated. Loved the free bottle of wine from the winery. Headed there and experienced their VERY tasty wines! (Bought a couple cases to bring home - their marketing worked to get us over there. haha). Overall the experience was great and I would highly recommend this place. Planning another fishing trip next year and if available, plan to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. Krissi was great to work with and quick to respond to questions. The apartment was newly renovated and clean. You can see Lake Michigan out the living room window a couple blocks away.

Amazing gem in Algoma!

We had a FANTASTIC stay in Algoma this weekend. We have visited my father-on-law quite often over the last 20 years, so we've gotten to know the town of Algoma. We have always stayed with him. This time we brought friends and needed to stay somewhere else and the Steele Magnolia was an amazing choice! It is one of the most well appointed apartments that we've rented anywhere in the world. Spotless, provided everything, easy to get in and out and a Perfect location. Right across from Von Stehil winery, walking distance to the lake, all the restaurants and brewery and Skaliwags restaurant. We met our neighbors across the hall and it was their first time in Algoma and I know they had a wonderful weekend as well. Krissi had great communication and everything was perfect. Will stay here again!

Wine Adventure

Our accommodations were great for our needs. Four adults in town for the Steer Roast at winery right across the street. Perfect location for walking to the beach and any shopping and restaurants. Had a great weekend and hope to be back in the fall.
