Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. This modern writers nook is a place for you to retreat, relax, reset and revive yourself. It is a mini-retreat especially designed for you to come alone, with a friend or partner. Sit and gaze at the stunning view and take some time for you!
This was quaint little retreat felt like you were out in the country, yet it was just minutes away from the city. We loved the quietness and charm of this place. Would definitely stay here again!
Upstairs noise was very annoying. Especially during the day and night. TV not set up for ESPN and other cable stations. Did not want to use my own phone data to get channels. Not a fan of AC splitter cooling. It was difficult to regulate and very humid. Ice maker needed repair. The place was in a good location. Very cute VRBO. We will not be staying there again just to many cons.
The house was adorable, such cute details! The whole neighborhood felt so peaceful and secluded and it was so nice to have a private drive/parking. Truly the place had everything you could need, full size kitchen, washer, tv, etc. check in was hassel free with the coded door. Highly recommend. Centrally located!
I did not know it was two stories, or I would have never stayed. The basement level was just creepy, but I decided to just stay. The only complaint that was really bothering was the people upstairs would not be quite at 2:00am when I had to get up at 4:00am they woke me and my two guest up and it was awful. The moved furniture around and were very loud. I got very little sleep when I had to go get ready for a half marathon. There was only one roll of toilet paper which is no big deal I went out and bought some. The noisy upstairs was the worst and that's why I will not stay at this place again.
Lovely decor and setting, however the heating and AC wall units are very noisy when running, and one is right over the bed. This unit also emits a light from the temperature readout. This resulted in sleep disturbances for us, but might not bother everyone. There was a very small bit of TP left; we had to go buy some, and there were no tissues or any sort of kitchen towel, either paper or cloth. Also, as other reviewers mentioned, there was not enough coffee for the Keurig; there were four pods left for two people, so basically enough for 1 day. Despite these glitches, we adapted and enjoyed our stay, and as previously mentioned, the setting is lovely and mostly very comfortable. The shower is spectacular!!
This was such a wonderful find. This cottage had everything we needed and it was in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Loved the decor that had a contemporary yet vintage feel. We will definitely stay here again if weâre ever in Oklahoma City.
The Writers Nook is located in safe & well established older neighborhood just North of the State Capital building. It is very nicely & thoughtfully appointed in a quiet & tranquil setting that very much enjoyed & would definitely stay here again.
Such a cute unit! Updated amenities. Darling spaceâŠamazing southern windows with views of the country side. Highly recommend this place for a get away or rent the entire unit for a family gathering. Love this place, I would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.
I loved my stay at the Writerâs Nook! It is in a safe area and the unit is very cozy. The furnishings are nice and I enjoyed the natural light in the rooms. The bed is super comfy! I could occasionally hear someone in the room upstairs, although it was not too bad. I would definitely stay here again.
This beautiful home was perfect for my husband and I and our two Goldendoodles. So tastefully designed and cozy, I could live here forever! The owners also own a local Antique shop, which was evident in the tasteful and unique decor. Wish we had had time to visit their store.
They were instantly responsive when we asked about the WIFI password on check-in, which was super fast!
The "Nook" is part of a larger home, but has a separate driveway. The grounds were amazing with spring flowers in bloom and a ravine where my dogs could run and play! I will honestly try to navigate our future trips through OKC, so we can stay here again. We've been traveling for nearly three months and have stayed at three other vacation homes, this was the BEST ONE SO FAR! A sincere thank you for sharing this home with us!
Description is for a nice stay alone with a partner but upon arrival we found out we have upstairs neighbors. Host told us the units donât connect but we found that was also a lie. Found more than one large wad of human hair in the unit. Water leaking from the upstairs unit. Broken light switch cover in the bathroom. Dirty dishes in the cabinets as well as a cracked glass. Extremely unstable fridge. The freezer and ice maker did not work and the fridge was barely even cold. Cobwebs and dead insects were everywhere. The area seemed not well lit and the landscaping was extremely overgrown. Felt so unsafe and disgusted that we had to book a nearby hotel instead.
Great place, four minutes from my family. If you like morning coffee, bring Keurig cups with you No drip coffee maker, Keurig only, just four Keurig cups provided for two people, three days. Was not able to use WiFi as host did not provide user name and just the password was not enough. Have VRBO app on your phone or host will not communicate with you. My VRBO is on my desktop at home. Otherwise, I'd be happy to stay here again.
We were only there for a quick over night, but this place is adorable!
It was very easy to get to from I 44, a very quick drive. It had everything you could possibly need to use during your stay. The best part our 2 dogs were allowed and that meant the world to us. Would absolutely stay here again if we ever find ourselves in the area.
