Family and pet friendly home w/fire pit and only 5 min from beach access

By definition, Sylvain is the perfect guest. He stayed at our home in Fort Walton Beach FL for two months and when our cleaning person arrived after he checked out she did a head scratch. There was nothing to clean! Obviously she did but couldn’t get over how immaculate the home was. His family traveled with a pet and after an extended stay, left the property in the same condition that they found it in upon arrival. In addition, the person that takes care of our yard work noted that the outside areas of the home were well kept, so much so that other then mowing there wasn’t much for him to do. Also, we had great communication with him concerning a technical glitch with our Nest thermostat and he was able to get it back up and running in very short order. We could go on and on but the bottom line is, this is the perfect guest. A+++

Thank you for your review. It is helpful for us as property owners to hear good AND bad feedback from our guests so that we can make Bungalow By The Bay an enjoyable place for our quests to vacation. The home is in a very well established neighborhood and the families that live on both sides of our property are not just neighbors but also friends. Since we’ve owned the property we’ve never had a complaint about either of them. If one of them was having a bad night and spooked your dog I apologize. Our property manager Kim as also our cleaning person and has worked with us since we started short term renting. She knows every inch of the house and when she noticed urine on the carpets in two of the bedrooms that wasn’t there before you checked in she reported it to us, including pictures. The quote we got from Stanley Steamer to shampoo the two rooms was $105. As for the blinds, Kim did not get back to you after you reported the damage because she was busy getting the repair of them done as our next guests were checking in that afternoon. The cost of the replacement panels was $95 and the handyman charged us $40/hour for his time on a Saturday morning. The time it took to go to Lowe’s and install the new blinds was two hours for a total of $80. If you do the math you can see how we got to the amount that we asked for in repairs. After a bit of back and forth with you in which you refused to pay for all but the actual materials ($95) we decided to cut our loses and absorb the cost of the damages ourselves. It’s unfortunate that you chose not to contact Kim about the garbage bags or the clogged toilet. It states very clearly in our welcome book that if there are any issues during your stay to contact her and she will resolve them. I hope this is helpful in clearing up the matter of us, as property owners, being unprofessional.
