Bait and switch

The property we paid for was not available after we were already in Florida and the owner did not reach out to let us know. He had another property far from where we needed to be that we had to stay. He promised to pay for a rental car but never did. I don’t know how vrbo can allow this to happen.

Honesty is the best policy…

As soon as we walked in we were smacked in the face with heat.The temperature inside was 88 & climbing.The vents were blowing out warm air.My husband contacted the number listed & the situation was handled quickly, which we were very thankful for considering we had our 4 kids, one of them being a 6 month old.In the kitchen, we found dead roaches in the fridge.Not long after, we saw roaches crawling in the living room, & bedrooms. Our kids then weren’t able to play on the floor because of the bugs. We also had to keep all of our stuff stored on the countertops, which made cooking difficult. We were informed that the place had been vacant for 2 weeks & this happens in the summer. Someone should’ve inspected the property and sprayed BEFORE we arrived then if this is a known fact. Someone came out & sprayed the afternoon before we left. I was thrilled to have a place with a washer & dryer, however I found the washer to be filthy & found someone’s fake nail in the bleach compartment. Between the roaches & the dirty washer & dryer I have to wash everything we took on vacation. We also had to clean the shower/bathtub before bathing our children due to not being cleaned. A lot of this could’ve been avoided if someone checked the place before we arrived. Please take this next piece as advice. If you are advertising a working kitchen, please include potholders or more than one hand towel in the kitchen. Pulling something out of the oven becomes extremely difficult with no oven mitts.

Place to sleep

We were visiting family in st.petersburg that was not able to accommodate us sleeping. We found this spot and by far the best stay I've had ever. Everything was clean and nice, jacuzzi was great. Nice price and the beds were very comfortable. Even only for our one night stay I now will be rebooking here if I ever want to make a trip to St. Petersburg

Decent place

Pros: Close to major attractions, sleeps many people, has a hot tub, affordable This property was underwhelming to me. The neighborhood is not the greatest; I never felt unsafe, but it wasn’t the nicest. The house is very old and it looks like the back porch was converted into a bedroom, and the carpet in there looked like it was holding tons of moisture and was disgusting looking. There were no extra pillows, blankets, tissues provided, so be sure to bring your own. One of the beds was adjustable/electric and very uncomfortable and unstable feeling. For the most part the place was clean, but some of the more hidden places (window sills, air vent, under the bed) were filthy. I would not stay here again. I did bring all of these concerns up with property management, so hopefully they will be addressed soon and other guests will have a better stay.

Vacationeer saved our vacation

We had another VRBO for a week, with our dogs, and the owner called right before we were headed out and said there was an unforeseen issue that came up with the house so she was canceling. I quickly looked for replacement property that would allow our dogs and found this lovely little house. The management was super helpful in booking on such short notice. The house is very clean and a convenient location. Would definitely recommend and will book with them again.

Great little trip!

Great stay! I did not get any instructions from VRBO on how to get into the property. But as I called the property manager, they gave me all the information. And they were very fast responding to my needs. I would definitely come back and stay here.

February getaway

This is a great place if you are traveling with a pet. Fenced in yard so no need to worry about letting our dog outside. It was close to downtown, parks and a short drive to the different beaches. Enjoyed our stay in St. Petersburg very much.

Home away from home while my house was being tented

I was lucky to find this house last minute because I needed to have my own home tented for termites. Everything was tidy, and check-in was a breeze. Definitely recommend!

Good communication but quality wasn’t there

When we arrived, the lights weren’t working in two different rooms. We were able to put a lightbulb in the one room because it didn’t have one, but never got the living room light to work. The house had a funny smell to it and even though we are charged a steep cleaning fee the place wasn’t very clean. The floors had dust, tissues, safety pins, and a lid to a gatorade bottle and there was trash in the trash can when we arrived. The couch had a kids toy stuffed in one of the cushions and our bed had a really big stain on the comforter (I don’t even want to know what it was from) so I think they either need to cut the cleaning fee in half or hire someone to do a better job. Check in was very simple and the host responded promptly. He let us have a “late” checkout at 11 because the original time is 10am and I feel that’s a bit early. The jacuzzi was nice but overall the quality didn’t meet the price point.

Awesome accommodations

The house is in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to everything for food and entertainment. As a matter of fact I tried to book for an extra night and it was already booked. So book your visit early. You won’t regret it!!
