This house met all of our needs. The location on the river which could be viewed from every room was very nice. We were a party of six and we had room to spread out and enjoy quiet time because of the many sitting areas. I highly recommend the house and hope to come again.
The house was beautiful and had everything we needed, from kayaks to kitchen supplies and towels for the beach. We loved sitting on the deck with coffee in the morning and also in the evening with drinks. The view was spectacular. Thank you so much for sharing this home with us!
Lovely house. Spectacular view. There was plenty of room to spread out and relax in all of the different spaces. We enjoyed the kayaks and the canoe...AND the ping pong! So glad they were there to use. We would love to come and stay again.
Galeâs property was even better than described! Big enough for our large group (6) to spread out, with 2 living rooms and bedrooms on 3 different floors. The view was stunning and we enjoyed the outdoor table overlooking the water. The kitchen was well-stocked, and water pressure was surprisingly good. The AC worked well and was appreciated, as it was in the 90âs one day. Easy driving distance to both Acadia/Bar Harbor to the north and Camden/Rickland to the south. Highly recommend!
We were in town for a family wedding and it was great to rent a house with my own family and my husband's brother and his family. The size really allowed us to be together when we wanted to and separate when we wanted alone time. The convenience to downtown Belfast was great - a simple 5 minute drive. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable and everyone else said that they slept well. The neighborhood is very quiet and the views from all rooms can't be beat! Two small complaints - dealing with the recycling and having to get some towels washed. If we are paying a cleaning fee then we shouldn't have to do any laundry. The recycling centers were right in Belfast but the first one we couldn't even find which was frustrating. Just something I haven't experienced before with a rental. Despite those complaints I would definitely rent this place again!
Great stay, would recommend. Some details: Our group was three grandparents in their 80s, 2 parents and 3 teens. All bedrooms on second or third floor. We had plenty of space to spread out. The House Manual provided was informative. We stayed during the July 2024 heat wave, and the A/C was helpful. Driveway limited to six cars, two wide, which sometimes provided challenges, as we have local friends and family in for visits during the day. Kitchen was great except the knives will cut nothing, making food prep a challenge and we felt the need to buy a $20 teapot at Goodwill as the house seems to cater to coffee drinkers. Kayaking upriver with the three provided little kayaks was a treat. Belfast is accessible best by bike (across the footbridge), by car okay, but it's a bit far for an easy walk. We did lots of biking courtesy of Bike Coalition of Maine routes.
This property was the perfect location for our first trip to Maine. We explored areas around Belfast including Lincolnville, Rockport, Unity, Bucksport, Blue Hill/Deer Isle, & Acadia. All destinations were 25-90 minutes from the house. Belfast accommodated grocery and eating establishments that offered variety. There were 8 of us, adults, and each couple had their own bedroom with 3 bathrooms. Kitchen is well stocked and we comfortably ate breakfasts and dinners at the house. Host was very responsive when called to get assistance with TV for football. Would highly recommend as the and accommodations were very reasonable. Glad we selected this over a smaller out of the way location.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The views from all of the windows was spectacular and watching the tides rise and fall was a lot of fun.
Gale the owner was very easy to work with. We will be returning.
Spacious, comfortable, great location and river view, great amenities (kayaks, canoe with easy river put-it), fire pit, ping-pong table. Super-responsive host!
We enjoyed coffee each morning on the porch overlooking the water. Explored the town of Belfast. Camden was about a 30 minute drive and Arcadia National Park was only about an hour and a half drive. Ended each day back out on the wonderful porch.
This home was exactly as pictured. Very quaint and cozy, with lots of space. We had 5 adults in our party, and we were very comfortable here. We found everything we needed in the kitchen to cook meals, the WiFi worked beautifully, and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We would stay here again. The checkout process is a bit onerous if you're on a tight schedule - you must leave by 10am (and we left earlier due to travel plans) - but you are asked to wash and fold your towels, wash and put away any dishes, and take your recycling with you. Those were a challenge for us, but the week leading up to departure was a delight.
A beautiful house with an excellent location near Belfast Harbor
This was a gorgeous house with lots of room and plenty of places to spread out. In excellent condition, with a lot of extra amenities, and everything you could possibly need to stay. Beautiful views of the inlet, right next to the water, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Very close proximity to Belfast, making it very easy to walk or drive there. Everyone in our group adored this house!!!!
Beautiful home in the quaint town of Belfast. Owner was very responsive and goes above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. Our first trip to Maine and we will be back!
We spent a week in Belfast and it was great, the house is very nice has everything that you need including a great view, good internet, few single kayaks, one kano. Amazing location, highly recommended.
Gale was excellent at communicating with us. The house is as lovely as the pictures. We had so much space to spread out. The view of the river is fantastic! Belfast is perfect - not too touristy but plenty to do - restaurants, coffee, book stores. We had a wonderful vacation! We hope to come back. This is one of the best places we have ever rented.
Everything we hoped forâŠ.. lovely home, gorgeous setting and space for our family. Gyre at location for visiting other Maine areas.
Gale was a pleasure to work with and very responsive to any questions.
This is the second time weâve stayed at this property and I hope it wonât be the last! It feels like home and located conveniently to so many sights and the town of Belfast. But best of all, the setting is beautiful and so relaxing. So whether youâre out exploring or just sitting around the fire pit loving life and enjoying your surroundings, it doesnât get any better than here!
The house is exactly as pictured in the listing. It is just beautiful with views from practically every window in the house.
There are many different seating and dining areas to keep things interesting and the kitchen was well appointed.
We walked and ran into town almost every morning for coffee and to watch boats coming and going. Robins Nest is perfectly situated to take day trips to Bar Harbor, Castine, Camden, etc. The house was very clean and Gale was great to deal with!
