Plenty of space to host a family gathering with 4 bedrooms and three full bathrooms. With a King sized airbed available, there's space to sleep 10 guests. This historic farmhouse dates back to 1860 holding so much life and memories of an era gone by. Create your own memories by enjoying a stroll through a sprawling 3/4 acres of green hills. There are peaceful spaces throughout to rest and catch a gorgeous sunset. This listing includes access to a cute and warm one bedroom/one full bathroom cottage. Kairos' Farmhouse is close enough to shopping at the Tanger outlets of Sevierville (12 miles away) or Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (13 miles away) or hiking in the Smokies (12.5 miles away). Yet it's just far enough from all the hustle and bustle of traffic you'll find in those congested areas. Reserve the entire property now to create a memory you won't soon forget!
Things to note during the spring and summer seasons. We do routine (monthly) pest control around the property, but you are on a farm, so there may be occasional bugs sightings during your stay.
HOT TUB: is a shared amenity. Due to high energy costs, the hot tub will be off upon arrival. If you wish to use it, please plan accordingly. It will take about 2 to 3 hours to warm up. Once you are done, please turn it off.
We enjoyed our stay at Kairos! If you stay here, understand you are staying in a vintage home. It was close to 100 degrees while we were there and it kept us cool enough, but as expected with an older home itâs difficult for the air to circulate evenly. The bathrooms are adequate, but again, remember it is an older home.
Property was very cozy, clean and well kept. Enjoyed learning about the history associated with the farmhouse. The cottage is an excellent addition and very easily accessible from the main unit. Enjoyed our stay very much, look forward to staying here again in the future.
The property was lovely. Beautifully decorated, and cozy. Very clean. Easy to communicate with the hosts, and very quick to respond. Suited our family and our needs. Thank you so much!
Old world charm, modern inconveniences and unwelcomed guests (not recommended! READ!)
Years of very questionable renovations (landlord specials) plague the house. A one-time porch was enclosed splitting the kitchen into 2 rooms, terrible clawfoot tub showers with clingy shower curtains and improperly installed shower heads, to not including basic amenities like bathroom counter space or towel hooks/bars. Lack of maintenance with fallen downspouts and panels from the bottom of the detached cottage. And ignoring overgrown foliage encroaching on the house. There are labels everywhere telling you what switches do, what key goes where (even though you donât get keys?), telling you whatâs in closets (I guess so you donât have to open them?), and if you are allowed to move certain things and so on. Lastly BUGS! They are in the kitchen(s), and they are outside. The owner said they are âoutside bugsâ and they shouldnât be inside, and I guess they actively use an exterminator? We tried to enjoy the hot tub, and quickly found they are crawling all over the vine covered chimney that is right next to it. They would crawl up and down it, and into a small crack between the metal roofing and wood. You could see many antennae sticking out from that crack. I would not recommend this place. Neglect runs deep, who wants to pay a bunch of money to stay with bugs? I suggest to the owner that they prune the out-of-control foliage around the house remove the roach-soaked vine. And put the label maker to better use and let the bugs know they are supposed to stay outside!
Family met at the farmhouse for Thanksgiving. The kitchen was sufficient to prepare the meal and the historic farmhouse was the perfect setting.
Be prepared for the quirks and charm of a 160 year old home!
Would definetly stay again.
