Mi Casita in the Mountains_ 5 Min from the beach!_ Breathtaking View!
You'll love this breathtaking, cozy, bright, and modern "Casita in the Mountain" with its impressive ocean view. Located in Yabucoa Puerto Rico, 5 minutes from Playa El Cocal. From here, you can visit "El Yunque National Forest" which is a 40 min drive and only about a 30 min drive to the port located in Ceiba, where you can take the ferry to visit the beautiful islands of Vieques and Culebras. It is the perfect getaway for couples and families seeking memorable adventures.
This is was our second time staying here and we always love the stay. It has such a beautiful view and we enjoy playing with the foosball table. The rooms are large. Host, Joel, was very responsive. Will definitely stay here again.
Everything was wonderful. From the views, to the welcoming cool air when you get back from the heat of the island, to the washer & dryer, and the cleam accommodations.
But what truly left an impression was the king size pillowey soft bed that made coming back to the spot inviting, and coming home to my own bed disappointing. :-(
Everything was great but at night we had an abundance of different bugs coming in through the glass sliding doors. And since we were right off the main road we can hear all the traffic at all hours. But overall it was a great getaway!
The house was very clean. The rooms were large and spacious. The Foosball table was a great surprise and a hit with the kids. The view was what was most amazing. You have a beautiful view of the coast. I enjoyed sitting on the hammock with my Mojito enjoying the breeze and view of the beach. Pulling your car in and out of the residence can be tricky because it is off of a main road but we had no incidents. Great place to stay!
Beautiful house and view! It was perfect. We didnât like that it was difficult to back out because of the winding roads and people going fast around the corner. We reversed in but even that was difficult as you had to stop and quickly do so. We left the gate open every time we left so it would be easier to drive in. Overall though, loved the place and view!
The property is very spacious and clean. The view is stunning, and the balcony is huge. However the road is very busy /very noisy, the parking situation requires careful attention and could be difficult. The main bath is beautifully remodeled but primary bath is in need of updating. The property manager is responsive and accomodating. The location is close to the beach, few good restaurants and the supermarket. We enjoyed our stay but would have loved to have comfortable seating for more than 4 people, additionall towels, and an oven or toaster oven to reheat leftovers.
Pros: Easy to locate using GPS coming from San Juan airport. Extremely clean, has minimalistic industrial feel with the lamps, furniture, tables. Has washer and dryer. Master has the old style tub/shower & guest bath has a beautiful walk in shower.Linens were nice with a super high thread count making them soft and sleek. Pillows were perfect for us. Kitchen has most everything youâll need as far as pots/pans as well as a basic set of plates, silverware, drinking glasses & 4 coffee mugs. Garage has just enuff room to fit our larger suv but nothing more than 1 vehicle. The view? Absolutely fantastic! Huge sliding doors in the living room offer the best view of the mountain & ocean. Master has a row of sliding windows that make for a gorgeous view to wake to!Cons: scary close to the main highway. Like maybe 6 feet away. Tons of constant road noise & on weekends cars are blaring music as loud as they can, full volume. There is absolutely no way to escape the sound if you expect to sleep, horns honking, huge trucks, motorcycles. Itâs as if the sounds are in the home with you and Iâm serious. Too bright at night! Dusk to dawn light on front porch never turns off all night. Between this & lights from the highway, itâs always bright, especially in the 2 guest rooms which offer no curtains & sit next to the road. We have a 2 year old who struggled to sleep. WiFi didnât work for us, it kept asking us to pay for it to get it so we had no tv but it was ok! Host was great!!
The title says it all. My wife and I have 2 children less than 4 years of age who decided to lock themselves in one of the very clean bedrooms. I contacted Joel who was able to talk me through getting the room unlocked. Thanks again Joel. Also the posted pictures donât do any justice to the views that this house offers. Lastly, Iâd like to mention to those renting big vehicles to maybe rent a smaller one as the parking area is meant for a midsize suv and smallet
Very clean and comfortable. The outdoor patio was great to wake up in the morning and have coffee to view the sunrise. You could also fall back to sleep in the hammock. Would definitely stay here again.
The AC was nice. We were enjoying not having it in our other lodging but once we got it we appreciated it. The covered porch and updated bathroom were a plus. It was our last place to stay in Vieques. We had to cook up all the food we acquired. The kitchen was fully equipped. Would have been nice if there was a clothes washer and dryer to make it a fully functional rental. Perfect for two.
The property was wonderful. It was cozy and clean. Our host was very accommodating! There is a nice local beach about 8 minutes away called El Cocal. The view from the balcony is amazing!!!! Its a great way to spend your evening winding down from spending the day in San Juan. There are chairs and a grill for your use. Joel provides hampers and a big sized washer/dryer for you also. The only issue is parking. It can be difficult to pull out of the driveway during rush hour. The garage was big enough to fit a mid sized SUV.
