As a native to the area I found the location to be extremely convenient for getting to all of the people and places I needed to visit while I was back in town. The house itself was a comfortable home base for a family of four with a dog. There were a couple of small random issues during our stay, but the host was communicative and everything was promptly resolved.
The house was great. Had space outside to play, a fenced yard and very close to downtown and other shopping. We cooked many of our meal and hung out on the comfy couches. I think this house had the best beds and pillows of any place we have stayed. Top marks!
Ashleyâs communication and response time was top notch. We didnât receive any check in or check out instructions, so I sent her a message and she responded within a few minutes each time. The bungalow is as described in the pictures and does have a small fenced in yard which was great for our dog.
I was in another VRBO property that flooded, in an emergency situation to find a new home for the remainder of our trip. We were in town for a baseball tournament so we could not just.go home. Ashley was amazing. We could not rent for day of, but she waa able to make the changes and get us into her home. The home was beautiful, clean, and in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend.
We rented this property because of the All Ripken event. I couldnât have been more pleased with it. We got in late, we went to the grocery to get some snacks for the following day. When we showed up, there was microwave popcorn and granola bars! We forgot to purchase laundry detergent, my son looked in the utility area and told me that there was some in there. They literally thought of everything and mad my trip. I was playing a single parent that weekend due to my wife having to work. Thank you so much!
My sisters and I rented a house for our family reunion, hoping for a comfortable and enjoyable stay together since we live out of state. We were attending our family reunion at another venue and rented this property to be close to family. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing, even though it was only a 2-day stay.
From the start, we were met with a message from the host to move our car as soon as possible. Although we promptly moved a vehicle that had a tire on the lawn, the reprimands continued. We were again messaged about visitors, despite assuring the host it wasn't an event. The messages made us feel unwelcome.
The next day, while we were at our family reunion, we received a message reminding us to move the trash bin to the road, even though it was full before we generated any waste. They charge a cleaning fee, which made this reminder feel even more unreasonable. I would have been willing to comply, but the previous messages we received had already left me feeling upset.
The property's surveillance made us feel constantly monitored, creating a tense atmosphere. The train tracks running through the backyard also added to the disturbance.
Overall, this rental left us feeling unwelcome and unable to fully enjoy our stay. We ended up staying away from the house as much as possible to avoid any further conflict.
I had a few questions before we arrived and they were answered within 5 minutes, all of them. When my family arrived, the home was very clean and exactly as advertised. If we are back in town, I will certainly stay here again.
This home was beautiful and cozy. It was also very close to the ballpark making it convenient for our stay. Stores and restaurants also nearby (about 10 minutes away) which was also great for food, groceries, and ballpark necessities. Our host, Amy, was also very responsive and informative. Thank you so much for making our stay great!
This was a very nice, cozy home. Extra care has been taken to make outdoor spaces cozy too. Just a little too much traffic noise for my tats yes, but still highly recommend the property.
Hey there! So nice to meet you! We are Adam & Ashley. We spend a few hours a week doing what we have to (working outside the home) and the rest of the time doing what we love (eating, dining, churching, and parenting). We have a daughter, Avery, in elementary school and a son, Asher, in preschool. We have lived in Elizabethtown since 2020 and love the area for its outdoor activities, history, beautiful downtown, and wonderful amenities. Did you know? Elizabethtown offers Kentucky's first urban hiking trail! We love hosting and look forward to welcoming you to our city.
"The Crossing" is unique because it offers a large green space and close proximity to town. The fully stocked kitchen is oversized and gives more than enough room family & friends to gather, cook, eat, and play together.
The cozy, converted window nook in the living room is my favorite spot. It's filled with plush pillows and natural light from the window make it a perfectly inviting place to curl up with a book, magazine, or puzzle.
Aptly named, "The Crossing," the back property line is marked with a set of operating railroad tracks. Kids love standing on the back patio and watching a train pass, and the sprawling back yard is perfect for a game of fetch with your furry companion.
