Hideaway On Gravel Lake - Cream City Point -Kayaker & Fisherman Paradise!

This charmer is located at the end of Cream City Point Road on beautiful Gravel Lake. This home is just a couple years old, has beautiful finishes and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. This home is a 2 Bedroom, 1 bathroom and with the pullout sofa will sleep 6 comfortably.

Gravel Lake has an amazing shoreline for Kayaking and is home to perch, blue gill, bass and pike. You can fish from the dock, kayak, or bring a small boat. Down the road 2 miles is a large protected dock on the big lake; available to guests for a rental fee. Enjoy wonderful sunsets as well as it sets over the Lake.

The home is fully equipped and offers a dock, 2 Kayaks, firepit, charcoal grill, generator for unfortunate power outages.


If you are coming to Drummond Island to ride the trails, you will need to trailer to the trailhead from this home. Side x Side’s and ATV’s are NOT permitted on M134/Channel Road.

very clean and tiddie. we all loved everything about the place. the stars were unbelivable. nothing more peacfull than waking up to drummand island coffee and loons calling in the morning. the sunsets were the most gorgeous that ive ever seen. we were worried about air cond, but the breeze was awsome. everything about this was first class. we plan on coming back next year.

The ad said it slept 6. One bedroom was supposed to have 2 queen beds in it and only had a double. Other room had one queen. Created quite problem for us. There is no canoe or dock. If you cook, there are no large skillets or griddle. No spices except salt. The bed issue was the real problem. Nice place though. Very peaceful.

I’m not sure where you saw that any of the bedroom had two queen beds. I checked the listing, and it clearly states: 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6 Bedroom 1: 1 Queen Bedroom 2: 1 Double Pullout Sofa: 1 Double The property does have a dock and two kayaks, but there is no canoe, and a canoe is not advertised as an amenity. We also clearly state in the listing that guests should bring any personal belongings and preferences they may need, including specialty cooking equipment, spices, etc. I’m glad you were able to make the best of the misunderstanding. Had you contacted us during your stay, we likely could have assisted with some of your needs. We maintain a variety of extra supplies and items at the hotel and are always happy to help when we can. Thank you!

Beautiful scenery in secluded area. It was nice having two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living. Clear water, perfect weather so we were able to enjoy the kayaks!

Beautiful quiet location

This is a great place for quiet and relaxation. Gravel lake is beautiful- very clean house- perfect for 2 couples to share and have their own space.

We arrived earlier than the normal check-in time so when we stopped at the office, they confirmed that the home had been cleaned already and it was fine to go ahead and give us the key. The home felt tired. The furnishings and bed linens felt like items that were taken out of somebody’s home that they didn’t want anymore.When we arrived at the home and started bringing our luggage in, we took our shoes off at the door, but felt like we were walking on sand. The vacuum cleaner did not work well so we swept the floor and washed it. It appeared to have not been done at all since the last guest. There was also some animal hair. I don’t know if the salt and pepper shakers on the dining room table were supposed to be just decor or actually usable but the pepper shaker was absolutely disgusting. It looked like a science project.The positives of this home are that the peace and quiet it offers with the unbelievable view out. the back door is incredible. Very, very quiet and the views of the sunset and the sunrise were absolutely stunning! We chalked up the cost of this rental to be for nature outside the back of the home.

Fantastic getaway

Such a lovely cabin in a fantastic location. The home was so clean, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for our getaway. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, bird watching, and going for walks. We hope we have the opportunity to visit again!

Very nice cabin

The cabin was so clean and had all the essentials. We loved the view of Gravel Lake. We used the kayaks but did not see any fish in the lake. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Beautiful and quiet spot on a peaceful small inland lake (no fish FYI) was a great home base for exploring Drummond Island and enjoying nightly sunsets and campfires. Especially enjoyed the kayaks and bed facing the lake! Clean and comfortable and provided the basics and all linens, just because aware of the very strong sulfur smell from the very hard water, especially when using warm/hot water, bring your own for drinking and coffee

Peaceful Northern Paradise

We loved our stay at the Hideaway. The property exceeded our expectations and had everything we needed. And the view! The loons, the kingfishers, the common terns. It made for a perfect first-time visit to Drummond Island!

Quiet well furnished privacy

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and beautiful well furnished and cared for cottage. Although two kayaks were available they were a bit difficult to launch and remove (however, we are senior citizens who honeymooned on Drummond Island 50 years ago.).

Beautiful Property

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed. The lake views are absolutely beautiful! We will definitely book again. Only suggestion would be to upgrade the cookware and clean/reseason the cast iron frying pan so it’s usable.

Okay

This is a nice place beautiful view of lake . However it does not have air-conditioning. It was not as hot outside as predicted so we were able to open windows at night and cool house down and close up in morning before we venture out. With health issues we have to have air-conditioning so we will have to stay elsewhere next time. I would recommend this house if you do not mind the heat. It is beautiful.
