"Lake Front Point" Retreat located in quiet cove of Lake Wylie

Come enjoy this 2 bedroom, 1 bath waterfront property with amazing views of the morning sunrises. It is located in a quiet cove with open water views, private boat ramp, pier, boat slip, kayaks and paddle boards. Swim ladder and fishing on the dock. After a day on the lake come back and relax by the fire pit, enjoy the gas grill with table and chairs on dock. Cornhole boards are available upon request.

**If you do not have a boat and would like to go out on the lake to do some fishing or just look around, you can book a charter with Wylie Guide @ www.WylieGuide.com. Captain Trent will pick you up right at our dock.

The living room, kitchen, dining area are open concept allowing for gatherings. Plenty of windows to allow for natural lighting and a perfect view of the lake. Full size laundry, Smart TV and family games.

Parking for 2 vehicles or 1 truck with trailer. If you need additional parking, please let us know so we can make arrangements.

The apartment is located above a new 3 car garage with its own private entrance. (Host lives in main house). Sleeps 8
(1) Bedroom 1 has a Queen and Double bed
(2) Bedroom 2 has a King bed
(3) Pull out Queen sleeper sofa

This property is located in an established quiet neighborhood. Please respect your neighbors, drive slowly and watch for children, we do not allow parties or other partying related activities. For safety purposes, anyone under the age of 13 yrs old MUST have a life jack on to be on dock/pier area.

Lovely lake view. Host was quick to respond to inquiries and arrange an additional parking spot. High chair was provided which we really appreciated. Nice big dining table - great for board games. The waterfront amenities looked good from the unit but we did not have time to enjoy them. Read the directions provided by the host - it might be a little hard to find in the dark.

We had an exceptional stay. The hosts were very accommodating and did all of the extras for you to ensure you had a great time. The apartment is very cute well decorated it has everything you will need for a wonderful vacation.

The property was beautiful. The owners were courteous and had so many things for us to do at the home such as a grill, fire pit, kayaks, fishing poles etc. The check-in and checkout process were seamless. Wonderful place to stay

Quiet and quaint lake getaway

This was a perfect spot for our family of five for a weekend getaway. The property was clean. Kids enjoyed jumping off the dock.Great location to several activities and recommended restaurants from the owners.

It’s like an up stairs apartment. Very nice two bedroom apartment. Very modern very clean. The dock was crowded and I felt like I was intruding on their property so I didn’t use it. I was in town for business so I didn’t do much but it was much better than a hotel. Use the black door and up the stairs to the apartment.

Weekend getaway with a view!

This was our second time visiting this property while in town for a basketball tournament. Everything is so nice, and we’ve had an awesome experience both times. We love visiting downtown Belmont as well as enjoying fishing off the dock. Thank you for another great stay!

Lake house

Great stay , apartment lovely , clean and brand new , also comfortable beds always a plus . We enjoyed the dock , fishing, paddle boarded , Kayaking and sun bathing, host on site to welcome us . All in all a very nice few days away .

Charming and well-stocked

We came in for a quick weekend for a swim meet in Clover. This location was perfect for us. The host has done a great job with this apartment. The decor is absolutely charming. I thought the kitchen was really well-stocked. We will stay here again for next year’s meet.

Great Lake staycation

We had a wonderful time, was just what we were looking for in a relaxed lakeside getaway. Extremely friendly and helpful host, very accommodating, and even helped out when we had a little boat issue. Property is very clean, dockside area is great, and the cove is nice and quiet and peaceful, yet only a short boat ride away from restaurants and busier activities if that is what you’re looking for. Highly recommended, and definitely somewhere we would return to!

Gone fishing

My husband and I and son traveled down to meet our son and daughter n law who live nearby. We had a wonderful stay at the lake house, beautiful view and fishing from the dock, apartment was super nice and modern and had awesome central air which was great after spending the day out in the warm sun!! The hosts were friendly and helpful! Great area too!!

Beautiful Get-a-way with a view!

We were in town for a basketball tournament and our stay at this location was perfect for us! It was in pristine condition and clean. All communications were easy & fast! Hosts were so helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our view as well as fishing off the dock. It was a short drive to downtown Belmont where we enjoyed some amazing food & our toddlers took advantage of the playground. Absolutely recommend! Thank you!

Hidden cozy spot

The place is very well maintained. It is an apartment over a garage separate from the owners home. The space is a modern design with an open concept layout. I feel it was perfect for our stay with another couple, but would also be good for a family. We were looking forward to paddleboarding, but the muddy water, that may have been caused by heavy rain stopped that from happening. Overall, it was a nice stay. With thing to do nearby, makes it a cozy stop tucked inside a quiet nieghborhood. ng

Thank you for your kind words. With the heavy rains we had for days before your arrival the lake looked muddy but rest assure it is safe to be in. The lakes in NC are all man made and most have a clay or muddy bases. Glad you found other things to do in the area. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Belmont Location

We didn't have many requirements, only a view of the lake. My only critique is that the headline says 2 bedroom cottage but it is more of an apartment over the garage, not really a cottage. But when I read the whole property description it was clear. Also the picture of the stairway up is not helpful because there are quite a few more stairs than are pictured! Overall, it was a good view of a rather narrow part of the Lake, up where the Catawba River flows into the Lake, and we could see the Sunset, which was nice.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay. Currently we are in a drought and the lake is low. That is something beyond our control. The description of my property is very clear that there are steps and that it is above our garage. Let’s be clear, I gave you a great review even thought you broke my shower curtain rod, I am missing a towel, you didn’t follow any of the checkout process, left a trash can full of trash in the property and messages me a nasty message because VRBO haven’t refunded your deposit. Again, something not in my control.

Ok place to stay, MUDDY LAKE

The property was clean, however the lake was not. It must be because this property is located at the end of the lake, not sure but when we went by the Drift restaurant the water was clear, but when we got to the property the water was muddy.. We brought water gear with us but did not want to get in the water. The property was nice, but basic. I don’t think I would stay here again as the stairs were no fun to lug our things up and down. There was a water pressure issue and the bathtub was incredible crackly. I’m not sure if it was a construction issue, but it made a crazy cracking sound when you move.

So sorry to hear this, but you never notified me of any issues while you were there. I notified you of the water pressure issue our entire neighborhood was having due to a water main break. It was quickly resolved by the water company. As for the lake being “muddy”, we had several days of heavy rain prior to your arrival. The lake is man made like all the lakes in NC. It does have a muddy bottom. Once you get out to deeper water it’s not as noticeable as it is in the shallower sections like ours. But I have no control over the weather and the lake conditions. You should have known about the stairs, they are clearly pictured in my listing and also states it’s above the garage. The tub does make a noise but it’s not a construction issue it’s a manufacturer issue. In order to fix it, we would need to remove the entire tub/shower area. While the noise can be annoying there is no issue with the tubs functionality.

Absolutely beautiful place!!

The owners did a fabulous job renovating their garage into this two bedroom apartment loft. I could tell everything was new and it was so nice. The choice of furniture and decor was modern and fresh. There are of course only stairs to get in and out so keep that in mind if you have a hard time climbing stairs. It is in the top of a garage so there are more than just a few stairs. Not a problem for me. I went during the off season and was just looking for a quiet and relaxing place but it will be great for people who enjoy access to a lake and fishing. It's in a safe neighborhood. I enjoyed the open windows and that you could see the sunset from the living room, both bedrooms and kitchen. It was well stocked in the kitchen with and bathroom and they even provide laundry detergent and dryer sheets along with hair dryer and first aid kit. Lots of light as well coming in an out of the door. The owners were readily available and just next door if needed. Great central heat and air as well as fans in bedroom. Desk area etc. The pictures are just as the place. You are really in paradise point. I enjoyed my week here very much. It was great getting to enjoy everything new. Great communication and instructions with the owners as well. Thanks again for an option that isn't hotel related.

Bronco is our official greeter as you visit us. We love the water and spend a lot of time on it. When we aren't on the lake or at the beach, we also enjoy going to the mountains and taking in the views.

This cottage is located on our personal property. We built a 3-car garage and had to take advantage of the amazing views with fully furnished 1100 sq ft, 2-bedroom, 1 bath cottage/apartment with laundry upstairs.
