Newly Renovated Long Beach Cottage - Ocean and Marsh views; 1 min walk to beach!

We are excited to share our newly renovated "Long Beach Cottage", a third-row home on the exclusive West End of Oak Island. It's only a 1 min walk to the public handicap beach access and sits directly on the marsh. The large rocking chair front porch has ocean views and the new screened back porch has a peaceful and private marsh view.

The living room has plenty of seating for all of your guests. There is a 55" smart TV and plenty of games, books, and puzzles to keep everyone entertained. The kitchen is fully stocked including a state-of-the-art water filter, 12 cup coffee maker, air fryer, crockpot and blender. The dining area has a large dinging table with comfortable seating for 8.

The LBC sleeps 8 with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms are furnished with a King, a Queen and 2 rooms that each have 2 Twin XL mattresses that can be converted to a King for an additional fee. All mattresses are NEW in 2023! Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, noise machine and USB ports for charging all of your devices.

The house has a fully enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower and a washer/dryer. Bed linens and bath towels are provided.

The LBC has been thoughtfully designed and well-appointed to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone!

Summer Beach Trip

The house was perfect for our annual beach trip to Oak Island. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, the knives were even sharp. The house layout is perfect with two sets of bedrooms and a bathroom on each side of the house. The large dining table allowed for everyone to sit and eat dinner together comfortably. The back porch was screened in and offered great marsh views. The location was fantastic, grocery store was a short drive away, and the beach access was only a couple minutes walk from the house. The owners were very accommodating and responsive. Hopefully this house will be available for my next trip to the island.

We loved this adorable beach house! It was perfect for our family trip. Getting to the beach was a short and easy walk. The view of the marsh from the back porch was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Beach Home!!

This beach home is the best! The most comfy beds, softest sheets, beautiful views of the beach and the marsh. Short walk to beach (didn't have to pay extra to park!) Susan was so helpful and kind. Next vacation we will definitely book here!!

Excellent Beach House!

Long Beach Cottage is an excellent choice! Location could not be better with marsh views and a quick 2 min walk to the beach. Each bedroom has its own mirror and counter space making it easy to get ready. Very clean with nice furnishings. Will come again!

Nice place

The property was very nice! Just a couple mins walk to the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and the home was very clean. The beds were super comfortable. We did have an unexpected issue with the hot water tank but the homeowners were quick to take care of the problem. Very responsive to any communication we had. Our family of 7 really enjoyed our beach vacation at Long Beach cottage!

Beach perfection!

Such a lovely place to enjoy the best of Oak Island! Truly a 1 minute walk to the beach, this beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed home has everything a family or small group could need for a relaxing and fun weekend. From the outdoor shower to the amazing back deck with stunning marsh-views, this home has everything you need for an amazing beach vacation. Owner is also very responsive and helpful! Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly located. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach and wonderful marsh views off the back deck. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The house is very well maintained and stocked. We had everything we needed and more. The rocking chairs on the front porch were our favorite. Perfect for morning coffee.

Nice home, great location

PROS: Clean and pleasant home two minutes from the beach. Because it's south-facing, the ocean is very warm. Not overly-commercialized like OBX, yet several decent restaurants. CONS: No pool, but we didn't drive all that way for a pool. The king bed is saggy. Give your kids the master. :)

No drama at the LBC

We took a girls weekend and it was fantastic . Cute cottage and the back porch was definitely our hangout spot. The views of wildlife over the marsh doesn't dissappiont. Super easy access to the ⛱️ We loved the sound machines in each bedroom , eveything was clean and easily labeled . We will be renting again .

Fantastic LBC Beach House Rental

This is a newly remodeled and refurbished home. The beds were very comfortable and linens provided smelled so good. The kitchen was overstocked with everything for in house cooking. Air fryer, crockpot, etc. There was even a gas grill on the brand new deck overlooking the marsh with adjoining screened in porch. The front porch was a great hangout with rocking chairs. The beach is a short walk with handicap access just across the street. We will definitely be renting this house again.

Great place for MDW, even with the rain!

I highly recommend Dan and Susan’s beautiful home on Oak Island. Everything was 5-star: the location (less than 5 min walk to the beach access), the communication with Susan (she answered all messages quickly and checked in on us given the bad weather), the accommodations (I even asked her what brand of mattresses they were at the end of our stay - that’s how comfortable the beds were!), and all the extras (fast WiFi, YouTube TV, well-stocked kitchen with cleaning supplies, small appliances, nice cups/utensils). We had high winds and a ton of rain over MDW, but we still had a relaxing and fun vacation exploring close-by restaurants and vegging on the comfy couches. Look forward to returning in the future!

Retirement Celebration for Teachers!

Our group of second grade teachers stayed at this property to celebrate a retirement of one of our co-workers! We LOVED our stay! The house was the perfect walking distance to the beach. The porches were fantastic places to relax and wind down at the end of the day. All the beds were comfortable, and the layout would be perfect for most groups! We had some issues with our app and the VRBO support staff were quick to get us in contact with the host. The host provided her cell phone number since the app was down. She was helpful and easy to reach! We are already planning to return to this property! Don't miss it, it's a great one!

Perfect for family, close to beach access

This home was absolutely perfect for our family. We were so impressed by the cleanliness and the adorable decor. It’s clear the owner has put a lot of effort into making the home a lovely rental. We really enjoyed how close this home was to the beach, and how well appointed it was: they had literally everything we needed! We are seriously considering renting again in Summer 2025! Thank you!
