Cozy cottage perfect for a couples getaway. Down a curvy dirt road, deep in forest of the birch and maple trees, this cute little gem of a cottage sits above beautiful and tranquil Sundog Lake. This cottage faces west and has the best view of the most amazing sunsets. There's a deck on the front to enjoy the lake view or enjoy the wooded view from the back deck. You'll see and hear wildlife galore here; deer, moose, loons, and the eagles frequently perch around this cottage. Sundog Lake is a private (no public access) spring fed lake. It's a quiet lake with the occasional fishing boat or pontoon puttering by. You have your own private dock to fish from or put out a chair and read a book. The shoreline is sand with some rocks and clams. Great swimming, relaxing on a tube but there is lake vegetation beyond the dock. Inside you'll find an efficient retreat. What she lacks in size, she makes up for in pure charm. Main level has a bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom (stand up shower), full kitchen equipped with everything you will need, and living area with a pellet stove. Upstairs is a loft open to the front of the home. The loft has games, books and a rocker to enjoy the view. Also in the loft are two small, but functional bedrooms. These bedrooms are open to the loft area. There is lots to explore in the Republic area like kayaking, and hiking and you are 45 min from Iron Mountain, 60 minutes from Marquette, 60 minutes from Canyon Falls, 90 minutes from Bond Falls (plus, lots to see along the way).
