Notre chalet isolé face sud avec vue sur les bateaux baie, îles, et le homard de travail. Le pont avant est idéal pour déjeuner, prendre le soleil, et regarder la nature au jeu et se joint à une pelouse gazonnée parfaite pour les jeux. Séjour agréable sur une soirée fraîche avec une petite cuisinière à gaz.

Un court trajet en voiture vous amène à tous les festivals Rockland a chaque week-end d'été ainsi que les ports de Camden / Rockport, qui abrite la flotte de la goélette. Un musée nautique, magasin général / café, bureau de poste, une bibliothèque et la grande pêche sont à distance de marche. Lancez votre kayak et d'explorer le littoral.

Quiet and peaceful!

We enjoyed the quietness that this property offered as well as the beautiful view. The cottage felt very homey and we could completely relax during our stay!

This was our second visit to Hawkweed Cottage and it was as perfect as our first stay! Both the inside and outside are clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the furniture is cozy. That view is beautiful and we spent most of our time outside. Our dog loved watching the birds in the water and being in the peaceful yard. We have already reserved our next visit!

Perfect stay! Beautiful property.

We had a lovely 2-week stay at Hawkweed Cottage. It was perfect! Very clean, well stocked with everything we needed, quiet. Hosts were very friendly and communication was excellent.

Third year is a charm !

We enjoyed our stay in the lovely house/cottage. It is pristine with quiet surroundings! Rockland is only 15 minutes away for excellent restaurants and shops. Come and stay at Hawkweed cottage and see for yourself!

lovely spot in Maine

The three bedroom cabin was perfect for us--all on one level, well supplied with bedding and kitchen essentials, spacious deck, and water views. Not on ocean, but lots of birds and woods on three sides.

Peaceful and beautiful views

Excellent stay. Cottage is as advertised. Has all the basic needs and an incredible view and deck/backyard to enjoy it from. Short rides to area beaches, restaurants and activities. Very relaxing spot. Owners are very nice and easy to deal with.

Beautiful view - comfortable cottage!

The view was all promised! The back deck was perfect to relax, read, eat! The cottage was spotless - comfortable beds, clean updated bath and simple but very useable kitchen. Very convenient to Rockland, Camden and McLoon’s Lobster. Very responsive hosts.

Beautiful view

The cottage has a wonderful view and we appreciated all the little things like having dish and hand soap when we got there. The bedding and towels were all clean and new looking. We enjoyed exploring the area and coming back to relax on the deck listening to the birds and watching the boats. This was a perfect cottage for our family with lots to do in the area.

Rusticly charming.

Quaint little cottage on a quiet lane perfect for daily walks. A secluded location only 15 minutes to Rockland. Very clean and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Would definitely stay again. Loved visiting with the owner when he stopped by. Thank you for sharing your cottage.

Charming and as advertised. Quiet area, beautiful. Small and cozy but we needed nothing more. It was pet friendly for our small dog. Water was hot, good grab bars in the bathtub. Beds comfortable. Can only imagine how lovely it might be in summer on the river. Def need a car. Used the Keag Store closeby more than once. Scenic restaurants a short drive, Rockland and Camden nearby. We did need to go into Rockland for a laundromat once, but it fit into our schedule easily. Gas grill worked well. Would book again if we return. Scenic bliss.

Great Maine Cottage

Hawkweed Cottage is the perfect place for a September vacation. The view from the deck is beautiful! We slept in the “Maine Room” so we fell asleep looking at the stars and moon reflecting in the water, and awoke to pink and lavender skies each morning. The trees were just starting to change colors so I bet late September will be beautiful! We have already booked our return for next year.

Our pleasure to have you stay. You mention all the beautiful aspects that I too enjoy. Before we began having guests, I took a week vacation in October. The first week was always amazing too, and some years I got a sunburn out on the deck! Every season is a blessing. See you in 2025.

Girls get away 2025

From the moment we pulled in to the moment we pulled out ,it was beautiful nice and quiet and peaceful Our 2 australian shepherds loved it and didnt want to leave, we walked every morning, we went to Rockland, Rockport and Camden for shopping, if only mother nature gave us more sun, weather was a bit raining on our stay but we made the best of it This cottage was perfect for us the golden girls , peaceful and quiet had everything we needed and more . Hawkweed Cottage

Super nice house. Very clean, has all that I needed. The setting was postcard perfect. I loved waking to the beautiful scene just outside of my window. So peaceful and quiet. Just a short drive to everything. The owners were great. Friendly and available. I can’t wait to come back.

The Best

Hawkweed is perfect for a quiet get-away. The cottage is immaculate and the landscaping beautiful! We explored the area----its history, ocean scenery ect. Elaine and Rolland are most attentive owners. We will see them next year !!

Wonderful experience!

Hawkweed was the perfect place for us! It was clean and quiet and so very relaxing! There was a magical feeling there for us. It was fun to watch the lobster boats coming and going and watch the tides go from high to low! We met Rolland and he was a charming host and we had a most enjoyable visit! I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a restful, relaxing vacation! We found excellent lobster meals in the area as well! It was a vacation we will always remember fondly!

The Hawkweed is a special place

My husband an I have stayed at the Hawkweed for two years in a row, we love it! The owners are nice and easy to deal with. The cottage is just the right size for a summer getaway, it is simple and clean - not overly filled with unnecessary things. The location is great, with a nice State Park (great place to swim) and just a down the road, and Rockland is very close. The yard and porch are great for morning coffee or reading a book in the sun with a beautiful view. Bring your kayaks - you can go right from the back yard and explore the cove. It is a special little place!

The Hawkweed Cottage seems to provide guests with just what they need. Being at waters edge is so therapeutic and in any weather it is just beautiful. Vacations should be easy and fuss free. Sandy feet, wet paws, no problem! Come back time and again and enjoy.

A True Maine Experience

Beautiful location. Cottage simple but comfortable. Well supplied with everything you could possibly need. No air conditioning but didn’t need. They have 2 fans available and if you open the windows it would circulate that wonderful sea air. It is very convenient to all the stores or restaurants. Extremely quiet and peaceful. Just what you need on vacation from your busy life. Hope to return some day.

I am a real estate agent and own investment properties. The cottage is intended to be a retirement refuge. In the mean time it is great fun to share with many guests who love it as we do.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This cottage is the perfect hide-away. Quiet and beautiful, a real escape. Excitement and entertainment are within a short drive. We are pet friendly and it is a safe and exciting place for good dogs to play. We have also entertained cats!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

I get many requests for early to mid June. Because of the weather and the secluded location we are unable to open until mid to late June. We do however have a lovely fall and rent until the first week in October.
