Great place, beds were comfortable had everything we needed. Even had some friendly dogs we got to sit down and pet every night really made it special.
Great value, awesome sunsets, friendly dogs. Bed and space totally comfortable. Alden and family very nice and accommodating. Be prepared for the early morning rooster wake-up call tho⊠this is a farm after all!
Serene stay at a working ranch. Loved watching the chicke s out the kitchen window. Great bed. Would have loved a toaster, but other then that it was s perfect stay.
This was a perfect place for us. The bunkhouse sits in the middle of the farm. We felt like we were part of the farm life. Beautiful sites, very friendly folks, lots of farm animals and sweet, adorable dogs to greet you!! Thank you for your hospitality !!
We had a great stay for a long weekend to go to a wedding in Sisters. The place was clean and had all the appliances, towels, and things that we needed for a comfortable stay. It wasnât hot enough to use the AC, but we were very glad we had it as an option in case the weather heated up.The highlight of the visit were the sweetest, most polite group of pups that welcomed us upon arrival and gave us some goodbye snuggles and wagging tails on the porch before we headed out. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Property was just as described. Lots of dogs to greet you, sheep, goats, and chickens were entertaining, comfortable little place to stay when done for the day. Had everything we needed. Clean and in a quiet location. Beautiful sunset and the rooster was a perfect alarm clock. Thank you so much.
Woke up Saturday morning and got to sit outside drinking my coffee listening the animals and having the absolute most amazing view of the mountains. Was an absolutely amazing place to stay!!! Would highly recommend
We enjoyed our stay at the ranch bunkhouse. It was quiet, private and a great size for the two of us. When we drove up, we were greeted by group of friendly dogs. We liked watching the activities of the ranch, and were treated to an amazing full moon over the mountains during our stay.
Casual bunkhouse-style mother-in-law unit surrounded by working sheep and goat ranch. Drive to nearby Bend, Redmond, Sisters. Full size complete kitchen good for longer stays. All you need to bring is the bacon, hosts have fresh eggs for sale. Grocery shopping, restaurants available in Prineville if driving south from Mt. Hood.
Its a farm. I had no problem with it, but if you are expecting a yard you will be disappointed. The place was more than expected and if in the area will use again. The host were very helpful. Clean, good appliances, great shower and the place was cozy.
Perfect location. 15 Minutes from Prineville. Quiet, peaceful, working ranch. Hosts are accommodating and friendly! Lots of playful dogs. Setting was beautiful, Mountain Viewâs and amazing sunsets. Great location to explore Central Oregon. Four of us stayed. Had everything one would need in the kitchen. Would definitely stay again!
The property is as expected, a ranch bunkhouse. The property itself is fairly old, worn and not sparkling clean, as would be expected with a working farm/ranch bunkhouse. It has a nice coffee maker, coffee was provided, the refrigerator was new and very nice. We stayed mid summer so air conditioning was a must. The air conditioner was older and noisy but did keep us comfortable. We were satisfied with our stay and enjoyed the seeing the animals from the front porch.
This ranch was one of the coolest places I've stayed on a trip and I would love to go back. It's a little bit out of the way if you're visiting the area for Smith Rock, but it was an easy 30 minute drive (20 to Redmond) and it was an extremely peaceful place to rest after a long day of climbing. If you're looking for some food closer than Redmond, Prineville is 15 minutes away and has many breweries and restaurants to choose from. The property is a working ranch with a ton of animals so we only got to chat with the owners a couple of times. This ranch is home to "about a million" dogs, so you may be greeted by a swarm of them each time you come back. We love dogs so this was absolutely a unique and fun experience. The bunkhouse is quaint, clean, and the bed is super comfortable. Thanks for having us!
This was not a bad place to stay and we did find it quiet and the bed was very comfortable. There were indeed many dogs that we were greeted by and they were cute and all friendly. However, there was dog poop (a lot) outside the window that looks out upon the chicken coup and we were surprised there was no tv or washer/dryer (no big deal). We did not like that the back door was unlocked when we arrived and there was a pile of what appeared to be dirty clothes in the back room which was unlocked as well as if someone had been staying there right before we entered. The fridge was not very clean. But th price was right and it was in close proximity to downtown Prineville.
Great location, as other reviewers mentioned we had a wonderful greeting by a group of friendly farm dogs. Quaint place, everything we needed. Great communications by the owners. Loved the location, did I mention that? Only a 20 drive into Redmond which did a few times daily. Lots of light inside and perfect for a couple.
