Iâm from the nearby area (about 40 minutes away) and was traveling around the state with buddies that are from many different places that are much further. They accepted our request at first but then cancelled us the day before because âthey donât book to local area codesâ. So me and my buddies were unable to find a last minute place and spent way too much money on hotels, they didnât seem considerate of our situation at all, very disappointing.
This was a nice older home with 4 bedrooms. Our group of 4 adults were golfing for 3 days in the neighborhood, and the location worked out great. Centrally located between the golf courses we played and the casino ( about 20 minute drive). There are a few areas that need some updated, but overall for a group of guys, it was just fine. We never used the kitchen, we ate all of our meals out. It was just a place to shower and sleep.
The place needs a lot of TLC such as painting inside and out. The nearby freeway interfered with my sleep a bit. The couch was comfortable to sleep on though. My friends didn't complain about anything..generally things were clean enough. I saw no critters of any kind. The ac worked well.

Needs work
This property was okay but we probably won't return. The lawn was not mowed and the yard was not well kept. The kitchen had many cabinets but most were empty. There were no extra towels or supplies anywhere. The listing says quiet neighborhood which is true but it is about 100 yards from a major freeway. The noise was not noticeable in the house but if we had sat on the deck it would have been loud.
It was what I expected. House needs some work but it was what I thought it would be. Check in code didnât work when we got there. Host was very responsive to return our call with the correct code. Description of house said 4 bedroom. 3 queen and 1 double. Well it is only 2 queen and 1 full and 2 twin beds. It worked out ok for us. Only real issue is we needed more toilet paper. 6 people for the weekend each bathroom only had 1 extra full roll plus what was already I the roll. Glad we had some in the cars.
Upon arrival, the entry code didn't work. Host was pretty quick to respond with a new code, but it added unnecessary stress. The yard was unkempt. We visited in early May, but the grass definitely should have been mowed (all the neighbors had mowed already), and it was a beautiful weekend so cushions should have been available for the deck chairs. Though the neighbors are quiet, there is a lot of freeway noise, so the listing title is a bit misleading.
The house was spartan, but mostly clean, except for the moldy left-over omelet in the refrigerator. The ceiling fan in one bedroom looked scary! It was not secured to the ceiling well, the lights were damaged, one of four cans missing with electrical tape on the connection end, and another swung loosely. There were no extra towels or bedding. It would have been nice to have a blanket other than the thin comforter for the beds. We hung the bath towels outside to air out to get the musty smell out before using. There was only one dish towel. Since there is no dishwasher, it would have been nice to have more kitchen towels. We ran out of dish soap, and there was only laundry detergent under the sink.
When departing, we were to put garbage and recycling in the container along the side of the garage, but they were already overflowing. We just felt sort of unwelcomed, sort of like we were a distant afterthought.
