Work trip

Once again a wonderful stay so close to work for us. The cabin is clean, comfortable and on a gorgeous piece of property close to everything. You won't be disappointed staying here. Lindsey is an awesome host!

Beautiful home on the Clam River on a peninsula. The owners had several paths cut through the trees and vegetation to different parts of the river.

Perfect cabin in the woods

The quintessential cabin along a river with beautiful fall foliage all around us. We were looking for to staying here and we were not disappointed! The attention to the cutest little details with decor & little treats for us were perfect! Will absolutely come back & recommend!

Serenity

What a beautiful stay. It looks like something out of a fantasy novel. Clean, relaxing and easy access to nearby towns. The most perfect home with all the amenities. Fishing in the river, toasting marshmallows by the campfire, playing cornhole, our family enjoyed our stay. Lindsey was an amazing host! We will be back! 😁

Peaceful

We originally came to just get away from all the chaos, unwind. No particular reason for the location other than the fact that we wanted quiet and nature - well delivered. It’s cozy, quiet, fun, surrounded by a river we were able to wade in, well stocked cabin, and a short drive to either Cadillac or Lake City (if you do want to go places or need to grab something). We would definitely recommend the Cozy River Retreat to anyone looking for just that - a nice getaway.

Work

Super clean, great location, comfortable, great communication with host, tons of personal touches from the delicious pastries, wine, snacks. This is a hidden gem close to everything. Even though the cottage is in a neighborhood it is perfectly situated on the lot with the river to make you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Will definitely return

River cabin

This property was beautiful and exactly as represented in pictures. We used cabin as a home base and enjoyed all it had to offer by staying there and enjoying the cards and outdoor games provided. Lindsey the host was always fast with her responses. Left us some complimentary goodies for our stay that was a nice surprise. I stayed here with my sisters during our annual siblings weekend. And could not of asked for a nicer place to stay. Loved everything about the cabin and was decorated so unique. Great job.

Beautiful / Peaceful / Secluded

What a wonderful place! We were welcomed with treats from the local bakery and a bottle of wine! The family loved the place. It seems secluded when you're on the property but in reality other houses are really not that far away but far enough. It is setup for everything you really need, beautiful, and cozy. We went exploring, ice fishing at a local lake (caught some real nice pike), traveled to Traverse City, went sledding, hiking, grilled out on the back deck, had a bon fire, and so much more. We do this every year and this is the best spot we have found so far. Hope to go back in the spring / summer.

Highly recommend !

We had an absolutely awesome time here! Love the feel of being in the woods, with the river so close , beautiful views yet being not far from towns, beaches & parks. The house was extremely clean, the special added touches like baked goods from the local bakery, paper products like plastic wear, napkins, plates, extra tooth brush packs with cute little toothpastes ( my kids loved that !) every detail was absolutely amazing! We have rented other homes in the past but never had all the extra added touches like this. Lindsey was so great about communicating and the personal notes left for us were the topper! We will definitely be back, and hopefully for a week or two next time! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Amazing Wonder in the Woods

Better than we expected. :) Lindsay was an amazing host - goodies from a local bakery - we went back for more - and a bottle of wine. The house is super clean, and organized and has everything you need. It snowed tons right as we were checking in - we were coming from 6 hours away and she was so accommodating to let us check in early to beat the heavier snow. She had the driveway plowed the next morning for us and a shovel ready by the back door. We will for sure come back in the spring or fall next time - as it's very accessible to hiking in the area (drive to a trailhead would be 20 mins or less). It was hard to access a snowmobile trial from this house as it sits right between 2 towns - but we made it work. Our group commented that everyone we met in Lake City and Cadilac was so kind and friendly. Lindsay thanks for sharing this gem with us !!
