Hello, thank you for your feedback. We did send a contractor out to assist you on the lights, which he found were all fully functioning, just the outdoor ones are on a setting to only be activated from dusk until dawn. We wish any issues with our property would have been addressed at this point, or during your stay—as we were unaware of your feelings towards these other things. We would have taken additional action to make your visit more enjoyable. We are constantly making improvements to our property in order to give guests the best possible experience, so we are sorry if your stay here did not live up to your expectations. We value your suggestions & will consider them for the future.

Hi, While we respectfully disagree with your review, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Unfortunately, a town-wide power outage occurred during your stay, which affected our property and was entirely outside of our control. As soon as we were notified, we immediately contacted the electric company to monitor the situation, obtain updates, and keep you informed throughout the process. Your reservation was for four nights. After the first night, you decided to relocate your group to an alternate property with power. We understood your decision and worked with you throughout the process, maintaining communication and providing updates as they became available. Power was ultimately restored during the remainder of your originally scheduled stay, although you had already chosen to vacate the property. In recognition of the inconvenience and disruption to your stay, we proactively arranged a refund for three of the four nights (75% of your stay from our earnings). We also personally contacted VRBO support on your behalf to request the refund. VRBO advised us that their additional booking fees and taxes could not be refunded directly by us and that you would need to contact their support team separately. We communicated this to you, and you were subsequently able to obtain an additional partial refund through VRBO. Additionally, upon the cleaners' arrival after your departure, they discovered that the ceramic toilet paper holder had been pulled off the wall, leaving a hole that required repair. This damage was addressed by our team. We genuinely apologize for the inconvenience of experiencing a power outage during your stay and understand the frustration this caused your group. However, we believe it is important to clarify that this was an unforeseen, town-wide issue, and we made every effort to support you, communicate throughout the situation, and provide a fair resolution. We went beyond simply acknowledging the inconvenience by arranging a refund for the unused nights and assisting with the additional refund process through VRBO. We take our guests' experiences seriously and always strive to handle unexpected situations with transparency, fairness, and consideration. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.
