This was my daughter’s Sweet 16 Retreat with two of her friends. We arrived a bit late and our code wouldn’t work but Owner was very quick to help. The girls wanted to change into their suits and go hit the lagoon style pool that my daughter fell in love with which is one of the reasons for booking. To our surprise the pool was completely empty. The following morning close to 8am they started Jack hammering the pool with loud equipment and the balconies were being renovated so we could not use. The other pool we were told was heated but it was not. Overall we made the best of it but I know she was disappointed and of course that made me sad for her.

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and the check in process was easy. I had a few queations on some things and the response time was great. Nothing major. The pictures were very accurate. We will definitely be back next year

Amazing property!

The condo and facilities here were amazing! The unit was very clean and well maintained. The pool area was a favorite for our kids, it is beautifully landscaped. The only thing I wish they had was hangers. We had a huge walk in closet but only 2 hangers. So if you want to hang stuff, bring some hangers! Will stay here again!

Loved the property, condo and the view. To be across the road from the beach, the view did not disappoint. I appreciated the host being very helpful with a special request I had upon arrival. I hope I can stay here again next time.

Numerous Roach Sightings

I am so disappointed with our stay in Destin this time. This is our third trip here and before now things have always been fantastic. However, as soon as I walked into the condo I saw a live roach in the kitchen. I didn’t immediately say anything to my husband, hoping it would be a one and done thing. Boy was I wrong. We have found roaches in the shower, on the walls and floor of both bathrooms, in the kitchen drawers, refrigerator, microwave, on coffee filters, on the kitchen counters I messaged my contact of the condo and he sent a pest control worker to spray. He sprayed on our second day here and confirmed that the roaches are hatching out somewhere because there are many juvenile roaches. Since he sprayed, we continue to see numerous live roaches of all sizes. My husband and I have tried contacting the host multiple times with continued concerns about this. They have not been much help. The main thing we keep hearing from him is “I don’t know where they came from.” That is beside the point. I would not typically call out a host like this but unless you enjoy roaches crawling everywhere think twice about booking this unit

Cockroach Kingdom

We stayed mid June 2025 with my family for a baseball tournament in Destin. I’ll start with the positives
the location is good if you want to be in Destin proper. The condo is fairly well equipped. Furnishings are fine but basic. Patio is nice, overlooking the pool. Building facilities are nice for kids. BUT, do NOT stay here unless you want to vacation with cockroaches. Our first morning, we saw a few in the sink and coming out of the outlets. We thought it would maybe be an isolated incident. Unfortunately it got worse each day. By day 3/4, they were showing up in the pantry, the bathrooms, in our cereal boxes. The host informed us they’d been dealing with them for a month and “thought” they were gone, but obviously they had no idea. They sent an exterminator on the 5th day of our stay, and that only made it worse. Visibly wet chemicals all over the floors/corners, and it caused them to come out from their hiding and die. So from Thursday to Saturday, we got to enjoy dozens of dead visible, cockroaches. I guess we were supposed to clean them up for the host. Oh, and let’s not forget the giant moth that was hiding in the guest room comforter when we arrived. Such a nice surprise!There are plenty of other condos at this facility to choose from. We were with 10 other families
none of them had any bug issues. So, choose wisely. Choose a different place!

Nice place to stay

Overall nice experience! The main area did have a very strong chemical smell and we would have definitely reconsidered the stay if we'd known construction would be going on. However, the location was great and the condo was very clean and comfortable. Would consider staying again when construction is over!

Valentine Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed a long weekend February 13 through 17, 2025, taking advantage of my boys' (ages 16 &12) E-Learning day and holiday for President's Day. Destin is our favorite beach spot to vacation and it is only a 5 1/2 drive from our hometown, Huntsville, Alabama. The condo was very well maintained and clean at check-in. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we had instructions for the gate code and code to get into the condo in advance of our arrival. Sterling Shores is in a fantastic location with only about a five minute drive to the west to spots like McGuire's Irish Pub (a must-have when in Destin) and the Harborwalk Village, which is full of various restaurants and bars. To the east, Destin Commons shopping mall is about 5 minutes and a little further is the Silver Sands Outlet, close to Sandestin, which will take 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. We enjoyed walking across the street to have dinner at The Back Porch as well as getting us a sweet treat from the candy store that is literally steps away from the gates of Sterling Shores. This was our favorite location we have stayed in our many trips to Destin over the years and will definitely be looking to book here again every time we make a trip back to this beautiful town!

Great Location and Host

We had a great stay at this place. The location is amazing with beautiful pool and ocean view, and one minute walking distance to the beach. The host is very helpful and made sure we can get all information needed during our stay.

Frustrating process

Drove all the way from Atlanta and could not enter the property with the provided code. Could not reach the host. Then was speaking with VRBO customer service for about 2 hours because I kept getting disconnected. Host finally contacted me 4 hours after I initially contacted him, but I had already left.

This is it! Perfect location, great for families with small children or people looking to relax. Private beach access, close to the back porch. Adult pool as well. Clean room and a super accommodating host. You won’t be disappointed.

Dissatisfying

Good morning, I wanted to bring some things to your attention regarding the cleanliness of the room. First, I want to address the bed. The bed looks as if someone slept in the bed prior to our arrival. The sheets were not made up, and the comforter was thrown over them neatly with the pillows placed as if it was clean. There was also strings of hair in the bed under the sheets. Also, I have pictures available of molded pillows and pillow cases. Secondly, the Jacuzzi tub did not work which is one of the amenities that we selected with this booking. Also, the towels under both sinks had soiled linens which caused us to have to go out to buy more due to the smell. Lastly, the master bedroom TV doesn't work properly and blinks and makes noises, as well as the remote went out several times. I'm not sure who handles the housekeeping but this was very dissatisfying, and almost ruined our Mother's Day weekend.
