Welcome to gorges Ithaca! Our cozy, lower-level apartment in the Northeast Ithaca community offers the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. Nestled near Sapsucker Woods and Cornell's Lab of Ornithology, it's a bird lover's paradise. Enjoy the serene natural surroundings while staying in our clean, simply designed apartment.

Centrally located, our one-bedroom apartment provides a comfortable base for exploring Ithaca's many attractions. Relax on the queen-size memory foam mattress in the bedroom, or whip up a delicious meal in our open-concept kitchen with an island. After a day of exploring, unwind in our peaceful neighborhood.

The space

We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to Cornell's campus, Ithaca Airport, Lab of Ornithology, and shopping. We are also a quick drive to downtown Ithaca and the farmers market! There is also ample parking on the driveway. The local bus service (TACT) stop is just one block away from the house as well.

The living room has a Smart TV equipped with Netflix and Chromecast for you to enjoy from our comfortable couch as you relax and unwind after your adventures. The house has a private entrance from the back of the house and is accessed with a smart key lock.

As the weather warms up, you are also welcome to enjoy our spacious yard.

We look forward to welcoming you into our home and to ensuring your visit to Ithaca is one that truly allows you to see the many great things there are to do in the area.

Guest access
During your stay, you are welcome to utilize all of the spaces and amenities of the apartment. The entry to the apartment is via the laundry room that guests have access to.

If there is something you're unsure how to use, let us know and we will be happy to assist.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Queen Mattress - 2 individuals
Queen Pull Out Sofa - 2 individuals (only will be set when there are more than 2 individuals noted on the reservation)
Futon Count - 1 individual (only will be set when there are 5 individuals noted on the reservation)

If you are traveling with just 2 individuals and would like us to set the sofa bed for a separate sleeping arrangement, please let us know. There is a $20 additional fee for setup.

Quiet, clean and comfortable

The place was clean and spacious for the two of us. It was a perfect place for us. The neighborhood was quiet and close to campus. We were visiting our college student.

Weekend at Cornell

This one bedroom with living room and kitchen was perfect for my two night stay in Ithaca while visiting Cornell. It was exactly as described on VRBO. I'll stay there again.

Cozy stay in Ithaca

Shu's space was clean, comfortable and everything I could've hoped for during my weekend stay in Ithaca. Check in was extremely smooth and the space had all the amenities I needed. I can't recommend this spot enough!

Lovely little spot

My grad school intensive week would have been far more stressful without a safe, quiet retreat when the long days were over. Sanjay & Shu keep a clean & welcoming space. Would definitely rent again.

College Visit

We arrived very late at night and had no problem getting in with the self-check-in. The apartment was very clean and the shower was fabulous. The location was very close to Ithaca and Cornell University. The owner was very responsive to our questions and was very accommodating.

Perfect place for Ithaca visit!

We came to Ithaca for our daughter’s graduation and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sanjay and Shu’s place. It was exceptionally clean, quiet neighborhood and very comfortable! After a very long day of travel, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, fruit and pastries from Wegmans! Communication with the hosts was excellent, even providing me with links on parking for the graduation ceremonies. If you are visiting your child at Cornell, I highly recommend staying here. It is very close to campus, easy drive to get to campus and you have a place to park your car!

Very cozy and all needs met

This basement apartment has all the necessary things needed for a stay in Ithaca. The hosts communicate regularly and provide anything you need. The welcome bottle of wine is a nice touch.

College Tours

What a lovely place to stay! It was immaculate and had everything we could possibly need or want. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. Very responsive even when I dropped a bottle of red wine all over their front sidewalk which looked like a murder scene in the snow. If my daughter chooses Ithaca College we will definitely be staying here again when we visit her. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Clean homely apartment

The apartment was spotlessly clean with a homely feel. Very quiet peaceful neighbourhood, nice to have the use of a washing machine and dryer as we had been traveling for 2 weeks before arriving here. The bed was also very comfortable. The only improvements I would suggest are a bigger fridge, as we struggled to get everything in. It was very small. Also a consideration could be to slightly rearange the bedroom so that you can get into bed from both sides. As a couple in our 60's it's not easy to climb over the other person in the night without disturbing them to use the bathroom. Just our thoughts.

We have spent over 20 years in Ithaca and it's our home! We live in the upstairs unit so we're here for our guests at any time. Enjoy our home in the peaceful and quiet Northeast Ithaca community which is home to the Sapsucker woods and Cornell's Lab of Ornithology. Take a walk or morning job to Spasucker woods and explore our neighborhood.

This home is perfect for anyone visiting for business or pleasure. We would love for you to enjoy our home.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We recently renovated our entire basement apartment for family and friends to enjoy while visiting Ithaca. We're so happy we can share the home with you when we do not have family visiting. The one-bedroom apartment is very spacious and can accommodate up to 5 adults with prior notice. The open-concept living area with a kitchen makes it a great spot to relax or take in the natural beauty.
