Spacious Single Family Home Near Water, Recreational Areas/Parks, and Shopping..

There are absolutely no hidden cameras in the house. That claim is completely bogus and it would be unethical. There are only security cameras on the outside of the house in the front and the rear. This guest was upset because I refused to offer a discount. They claimed to hear noises in the house, but in all of the years that I have been a host I have never had a guest claim to hear noises/voices and demand a discount because of that. Prior to me refusing to give a discount they stated that everything was to their satisfaction and that the house was spotless. Also, the bed mattresses are new. I brought it to their attention that there was likely too many people in the house due to the amount of trash that was left behind and the fact that they used 9 rolls of toilet paper over just a 4 day stay.

I have always taken pride in providing my guests with a great experience and take full accountability for any and all issues that guest may encounter. However, this guest is not being truthful. They had to check in late because of a mistake that I made with my calendar. Because of that inconvenience I gave them the first night's stay for free. Every bed had brand new sheets and the house was spotless. She was upset because I did not offer a full refund because of the delayed check-in time and decided to be difficult throughout. I completely understand the frustration which is why I gave them a free night. But to come on here and flat out lie is not right.

I pride my self on professionalism and courtesy. This guest was unbelievably disrespectful. As he stated, this is a good property. He contacted me and told me that he didn't know how to work the surround sound speakers (The sound was coming from the TV) so I walked him through how to do it. He still couldn't do it and became upset. After he checked out I found that he had disconnected some wires and this was the reason he couldn't get it to work. So basically, he couldn't figure out how to fix what he broke. He contacted me days after he checked out demanding a 10% refund for something that was his fault. I compromised and offered 5%. That wasn't good enough so I reminded him that it was in fact a courtesy discount. This was the ONLY issued. I will not tolerate disrespect from anyone so this is where we are.
