Pros: great location, allows pets, inexpensive rates.
Cons: heating- the gas logs were not lit when we arrived. It was 32 degrees and we did not have assistance with getting the heater going for 24 hours. It was cold! Updated furniture needed. Very uncomfortable couch. Kitchen was sparsely appointed. Not many cooking aids available- cutting boards, can opener, dishcloth, etc.
raggedy linens in bathroom.
The heater did not work and we could not get in contact with the host or cohost. The two numbers provided on the refrigerator were disconnected. There was only one backup heater provided so only one room was simi warm. The place was however clean and in a great location.
Due to two traffic accidents on the day of arrival, we came in 8 hours later than expected (midnight). The high was only 58 outside. No heat was turned on in the apartment. After struggling to find a tenant manual w/instructions (never found one), attempted to reach host at 2am. No response to text or vrbo app message or telephone call within the hour. Fell asleep in full street clothes, shoes, coat, two blankets. Never got above 59 in the apartment all night (36 low outside). Received a response at 3:30ish after falling asleep, so we didnât get the text. Attempted again in 5 hours. Received a video with instructions. Didnât work. They neglected to tell us to open a gas line to start it. Never used gas heat in my 60 years. Completed unsatisfied with a lack of heat the entire first night. Requested a refund many times with no answer to the topic.
Next, a window in the unit has no lock on it, leaving tenants completely vulnerable. We wedged something in the frame to keep it from opening but not a lock.
The unit is as described, as far as aesthetics. Very happy with the neighborhood.
Would consider returning, if the windows locked.
Trying to connect with manager was impossible.
There was really no response from emails nor to the answering service.
There were two windows that were unsecure.
The same windows that I read from a previous review.
Did not get much sleep because of unsecure windows.
Would not stay at this property again.
