Sur la rive sud du lac Pratt, dans la communauté de Gladwin, MI se trouve notre chalet de style lodge rouge 2BR amusant avec des comptoirs en granit dans la cuisine et du pin noueux partout sur 50 pieds de façade sur l'eau. Emportez vos maillots de bain car vous en aurez besoin car la plage de sable est idéale pour nager et jouer. Le lac Pratt est idéal pour vos skiboat, skis nautiques, tubes, pontons, kayaks ou jet-skis pour jouer sur l'ensemble des 180 acres du lac Pratt! Détendez-vous à la table de pique-nique ou asseyez-vous et contemplez le lac depuis le pont. Prenez un livre et lisez dans le sable. Profitez de la plage et de superbes vues sur le lac Pratt. Emportez vos «Smores» pour le foyer extérieur. Poissons du quai de 40 pieds. Lancement de bateau public dans la rue pour lancer tous vos jouets. Beaucoup d'espace pour sécuriser votre bateau sur le quai. Canoë et chaloupe inclus pour utilisation. Eau claire - grande baignade. La profondeur de l'eau sur notre rivage augmente progressivement - bonne pour les enfants (nous en avons 4, donc elle est activement utilisée!). Fond ferme et propre. Si vous aimez pêcher, il y a une bonne pêche au poisson, à l'achigan et au brochet. Quelques dorés sont également capturés chaque année. Si la pêche est difficile, faites un voyage au centre-ville de Gladwin et atteignez l'étang à truites! Trafic en bateau léger sauf le week-end férié. Notre chalet a été construit dans les années 20 et était l'une des cabanes d'origine sur le lac Pratt. Il a une cuisine complète avec granit et lave-vaisselle avec toutes les casseroles / casseroles / ustensiles de cuisine, 1 salle de bain complète avec carrelage, un grand salon, des murs en pin noueux de style lodge. Planchers de bois franc en bambou foncé. Il y a trois lits queen avec un canapé-lit. Vue très ouverte sur la cuisine / salle à manger / salle de soleil donne sur de belles vues sur le lac.

Superbe bar à sable pour garer votre bateau pour une pause détente dans le lac.

Profitez de 1000 acres de terres domaniales à des kilomètres de routes pavées tranquilles, idéales pour le vélo, le VTT, la chasse ou la marche. Canoë autour du lac au crépuscule pour une grande observation de la faune. Recherchez notre couple reproducteur d'aigles à tête blanche ou écoutez les huards les premiers matins du lac Pratt. Faites attention au point et vous pourrez voir nos cerfs locaux profiter de l'eau.

Golf dans les 10-15 minutes. 5 minutes de la bibliothèque publique.
6 miles du centre-ville de Gladwin pour faire du shopping, 30 miles de Houghton Lake, Midland et West Branch. 2. 5 heures des deux grandes banlieues de Detroit et de Grand Rapids. Excellent magasin de crème glacée avec le célèbre "Pigs Platter" de Gladwin dans un rayon de 6 kilomètres à ne pas manquer!

Thanks for your review and for staying with us! We're really glad you enjoyed the lake and the great breeze out on the deck — it's one of our favorite things about the place too. We hear you on the AC. While the home doesn’t have central air, we do have ceiling fans in every room plus window fans to help keep things cool. Most guests find that the lake breeze and fans do the trick, especially in the evenings when weather cools off. Appreciate your feedback and hope you had a relaxing stay overall.

This house worked great for our family. The beach was great for our grandson and the dock worked good for our boat. It was quite warm when we stayed there, we knew it would be so we brought some fans because we knew the house did not have air conditioning. There were a couple of fans there when we got there and the day after we got there Thomas had 4 more fans delivered to help keep us cool. Love the house, the location, the lake. House is very well kept. Love that there is both beach for the baby and deeper swimming for my two older kids without ever leaving the property. Lots of sandy bottom areas, good fishing-the complete package : ) we are already thinking about when we can come back.

Absolutely loved this property. My family of 6 had an amazing time! The cabin had everything and more. The lake was beautiful and my children ranging from ages 6-17 had an absolute blast. Locally had some of the best ice cream and pizza we have ever had. I give our stay 10/10. We will definitely be making a return visit!

Weekend with the grandkids.

We had a wonderful weekend. Cabin was clean and very comfortable. We spent most of our time sitting outside and enjoying the lake view. Our grandkids had a ball fishing, swimming and paying in the sand. It was the perfect end of the season get away.

Best vacation for the family

Absolutely love the updates done to the place since the last time we were there 10 years ago. Family loved the waterfront and appreciated the use of the floating dock. The neighbors were all very kind. The lake was fairly busy so we paddled in the beautiful mornings and watched the birds and jumping fish. Highly recommend

The cottage had more room than I thought it would by the pictures I saw. Very nice and roomy kitchen. Enough space inside to spread out. Great beach area for my granddaughters. Very family oriented. I’m definitely keeping this on my list for return vacations.

Great cottage and lake!

The lake was awesome, its the perfect size too! There is a fun sand bar right out front of the house. Kayak out there and hang for the day. I love that it was dog friendly! Plently of wood for bonfires. It had everything we needed. The cottage was cute, cozy, and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Tom was a great host! Easy to communicate with, super easy check in as well. It was the perfect long weekend get away! What a great location. I cant wait to come back! Thanks!!! ☺️☺️

Super close to the water. Cute lake. Saw amazing northern lights and a meteor shower. The lake was are-able and my kid had a blast in the sand and beach water, but my kids (typically pool lovers) were not super willing to swim in the darker water. Still serene and pretty on the quiet lake. We did not have life jackets so did not do any boating. BYO lifejackets! House is charming, Had all we needed including ample towels. Cozy but spacious and bed were all very comfy! formcomfy!

Home away from home

We couldn’t love this cabin anymore. It’s an annual event with my daughters now. The cabin has everything you need except for food. The neighbors were very friendly. My daughter brought her Xbox in case she got bored.. she never took it out of the bag. :) we spent many hours sitting on the dock. We brought a 10x10 pop up canopy for the deck, so we could still sit outside in the rain. We will be back next year again. This is truly our home away from home. On a side note... you must go to the Corner Creamery for ice cream at least once (we went every night).

We enjoyed the Red House on Pratt Lake.

This is our third year staying at this cottage. We really enjoy staying on Pratt Lake. The lake is super clean and sandy bottom. We brought our Kayak and Paddleboard and were able to spend most of our days on the lake. The house has everything you need to cook as well as nice newer furniture in the front room. Some things that would help make this a five star house: New linens in the bathroom.. We had a hard time finding large enough towels for showering.. It is mostly beach towels and older smaller towels. This was our third year here, and since our last stay, I think the cleaning has gone down hill a bit. I am a bit of a clean freak and for the price, I expect to walk into a clean property. The floor in the bathroom didn't seem like it was washed before our arrival and the cabinets could use a good scrubbing, as well as where the trash can is stored.. I pulled the trash can out to avoid having to look at the mess under the sink. The cleaning crew also left some cans behind for us to take care of... We really do love this cabin and think families would enjoy it, but it would need a little TLC in the cleaning department before we would come back.

Also will take a look at the towel/linen cabinet for opportunities to upgrade/clean out towels that are undersized.

Pleasant place to stay

The cottage is just as charming as described. It's clean and comfortable. Be aware that there is no air conditioning, but there are fans available. We used the deck often to eat, read, and relax. There is a griddle grill on the deck as well as a full-service kitchen. Bring all of your own ingredients if you plan to cook. There was a little salt, pepper, some sugar packets, and some coffee (but no filters) in the cupboards. We took the rowboat out a couple of times. The oars are very old and wobbly but we managed just fine. The lake was busy on Sunday but quiet the rest of our stay. I didn't swim because the bottom of the lake is mushy after you walk out a little bit and I don't like that feeling. The neighbors were extremely nice, and it was quiet at night except for the loons, which were a delight to hear. The owner was very responsive, especially when we lost power due a storm on Tuesday afternoon. He had some flashlights delivered to the cottage that evening. He was very understanding when we decided to leave one day early (Wednesday) since the power wasn't expected to be back on until that night and it's so inconvenient to have no water to flush the toilets. All in all, it's a pleasant place in a lovely location.

The cabin was charming and quaint. My idea of what a cabin should be, however it was filthy.

When we walked in the cabin, I noticed the chairs were turned over and on top of the dining room table. At first I thought the cleaning personnel must have forgotten to put them down after cleaning. Wrong!! The floors were covered in sand, dust and grass. My husband and I decided to clean before we ever brought anything in. I believe there were clean sheets on the bed and the bathroom didn’t appear to be too bad, but that was it. The kitchen was very dirty. The windows, appliances, cabinet fronts, sink and dish drainer looked like they hadn’t been touched in years. Inside the cabinets were cobwebs and crumbs. Even the grill had not been cleaned in a very long time. My daughter has bad allergies and had a rough time with the dust the couple of days she was there. I guess the final straw was when my daughter’s dog kept sniffing under the edge of the couch and when we moved it, we discovered a dried up piece of ham. We ended up leaving a day early. I did contact the owner when we got home and he said he would reimburse the cleaning fee. I would never rent this cabin again.

Sally- Let me just start by saying, I'm sorry the weather was not nice for your stay and that your family left early. I am sorry you were not satisfied with the cleanliness of our cottage. You were the first rental of the season and my wife and I personally cleaned the cottage ourselves before your stay. The chairs were up on the table because we had swept and mopped the floors. We've traditionally always had great guests and never had an issue with cleanliness, however, rest assured we will address for the future. Yes we reimbursed you the cleaning fee, primarily out of common courtesy given your concerns, however, you never once connected with us on any issues until after your stay asking for money back.

Nice comfortable cabin

Cabin is pretty basic, owners description is spot on. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed (except food of course.) The lake was awesome and just as described. We didn't catch many fish, but I would think that is from the boat traffic on the lake which was fairly heavy during our stay. There is also great biking trails within 1 mile of the cabin. The reasons I only gave a 3 star rating are: The neighbors are very very close, (they are also the owners family and the weekend we were there they had a big crowd up, including lots of kids), pretty much you cannot have a conversation on the property without someone hearing you and you can also hear everyone else's conversation. So you can expect next to no privacy, which for some is no big deal but this weekend was mine and my husbands 1st solo vacation since we had a baby and we were looking for something a little quieter and with a little more privacy. Also the shower head is very low and you have to do weird backbends and what not to wash your hair, that wasn't much fun. The stove worked intermittently and is leaning to one side so some of our food cooked a little funny and the microwave is not usable (it sparks on the inside.) We couldn't use the outside gas grill either, there was still a lot of food "leavins" left on it and it had a funny smell, so we opted just to use our little charcoal grill we had brought with us. These were only all minor complaints and issues we had and overall we had a good time and enjoyed the cabin, even if we didn't exactly get the romantic getaway we were hoping for. The owner is super nice and was easy to work with. We will most likely not return just for the fact that the cabin is so close to the neighbors, that's just our personal preference though.

Thanks for the review. We really appreciate feedback on our cottage. The microwave has been replaced. I just wish you had called as I'm sure I could of gotten a replacement during your stay. I'm sorry you had issues with the stove, we cook in it all the time and my wife and I don't run into problems with temperature variation, but, I will be sure to monitor in the future. In regards to the lake and cottage neighbor noise, it is traditionally very quiet during the week and has more traffic on the weekend. Perhaps a weekend stay wasn't enough to allow you to see all of the beauty of Pratt Lake. My mothers brother was in town from Texas with his four teenage girls. I'm sure they were having a wonderful time swimming and sitting near the fire pit. As many lake cottages go, we have a 50ft lot with neighbors on both sides. The grill has a scraper, I'll be sure to make sure it is still available. I replaced the burners this July and everything was working properly. Ever since 1984, I’ve been coming to Pratt Lake. My wife and I knew we’d be going back to Pratt as often as we could. As our family grew to four children and a goldendoodle, we found Pratt to be the perfect place to take the kids and pup. They couldn't get enough of the lake. There was no question, we had to invest in our own 'Pratt Lake cabin.' We hope you'll enjoy all that Pratt Lake and northern Michigan has to offer. You'll want to keep coming back too! My family bought on Pratt Lake 30 years ago and I spent every summer on the lake as a child. When our cottage was listed in 2007, we knew we wanted to create memories for our children just the same and bought it the same day it listed.
