The Eagle's Nest is an oilfield building converted into a beautiful four bedroom house right on the river! A wonderful retreat if you are looking for a place to vacation or fish or hunt. Furnished in a log cabin style it is spacious and roomy with four bedrooms with queen beds and two and a half bathrooms. While all the views are nice, the upper level has stunning views of the surrounding mountains and river. Great for groups or large families. See you on the river!
We had 3 couples for a fishing trip. More than enough room for all of us. Plenty of living room seating. Excellent bathrooms. The fire pit in the yard with the river running in the background was awesome every evening. Will definitely come back to stay!
Nice enough place. My only complaint is that there is no access to the river. If the vegetation were removed, perhaps it would be possi le to wade i. The ri er for fishing.
We stayed at the Eagle's Nest while hunting in the area. We had 5 people in our group and the Eagle's Nest fit all our needs. I would stay there again. Communication with Jerry was quick and easy.
The property was everything we expected and it worked very well for our trip. The location was very convenient for attractions in Thermop and within walking distance of the grocery store. The home was equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals and to just relax.
We needed a house to act as home base for our fishing trip on the Big Horn river. This property worked great. We had family travel from different parts of Wyoming to Thermopolis.
Stayed 3 nights in this property while my fishing buddy and I worked the river. This is a converted commercial space done very well with lots of room for friends or family. There's everything you're likely to need in the kitchen and the local grocery is just down the street, or just a little further to local restaurants. Everything was clean and comfortable. Great beds. Hope to be back!
We were happy with this place and the whole process with Jerry was smooth and easy. The building looks commercial from the outside, but it's a nicely furnished house inside. Very spacious. we had plenty of beds and room to move around for a family of 9. There isn't much to see or do around the house, but it's a nice central location in town to go do all the fun things in Thermopolis.
Overall, the property was a fine choice for a fishing trip. With four bedrooms and >two bathrooms it was perfect for a guy trip. The building itself is a bit run down but the apartment was fine and the owner continues to upgrade the property. The property was very quiet and, given the hot temperatures, the air conditioning was great. Access to the river is fine, though wading to fly fish could be a bit of a challenge given the depth of water.
All in all, I would definitely recommend to future fishing groups.
We came to Thermopolis this year as a family for the weekend. We had four generations on this trip. The Eagle's Nest Riverfront house was just perfect. The house is tucked away just off the main road and had a large parking area to accommodate our truck and trailer plus the rest of our families vehicles. The house is very nice inside, lots of updates, plenty of nice sized bedrooms which are decorated with log furniture, several bathrooms and a large kitchen and living room. The house is also equipped with everything and anything a family could possibly need for a fun weekend. We even had a grill for a riverside cookout. I can see us coming back again next year.
