We were in town for a conference at the convention center and this house was perfect for our needs! Great Location Great Space! Fantastic Master Shower
We arrived at the property on Wednesday night. It was almost 80 degrees on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms were. We turned down the thermostat on the 2nd floor and it never got below 78 in 2 of the rooms. Very old home windows are all extremely old. The AC could not keep up because of old damaged windows. I have multiple rental properties and own a construction company. The house doesnât have adequate insulation in the attic. Iâm sure this home is also cold in the winter. While I was there I reached out to the owner and told him about the issue and also that there was a broken light when we checked in and a door with trim that was damaged. Upon our checkout we were sent a bill for 1100 for damage already there that we told him about. I would highly recommend not renting from this shady owner.
I stayed here with a group of 6 friends for an event at Lucas Oil Stadium. The location was great, a really easy walk to the stadium as well as several bars and restaurants. Accomodations were excellent. Mattresses were great. The house was very well appointed and included all the necessities. Would definitely stay here again.
Our stay at FletcherPlace was fantastic! Dennis was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was in a perfect location to walk to Lucas Stadium and downtown Indianapolis. The kitchen was well equipped and comfortable for our family gathering.
We loved the place. Open and spacious. I spot for everyone. The location was perfect. Walking distance to all kinds of restaurants and pubs. We went to a pink concert and was close to Lucas stadium. The fir place in the house does not work but didn't change our vibe great place. Will stay again
This was a great place to stay. Clean, lots of space and great with the kids. We were able to walk to the Pacers game and was a short drive to the childrenâs museum. Would definitely stay here again!
It has been a long time since our family has come together.
This space was large enough to give each of us a place to congregate and a quiet bedroom to rest.
Such a beautiful home and is open for everyone who wants to stop by and say Hi.
The checkin process was delayed some although I paid for early checkin.I had a hard time reaching the owner, but VRBO helped! Once we got in, everything was great. The house was beautiful and very accommodating to our large group. There was a problem with the oven and the lights for the shower in the master bathroom were out completely. Nothing too terrible, we worked around it! The kitchen was amazing and the beds were VERY comfortable. Overall, I think the place was great!
To echo most other reviews, this is a fantastic place to stay! Clean, big, historic yet updated with modern amenities, walkable to the city center or lots of great restaurants, a responsive host...the list goes on!
Not exactly negatives, though there are a couple of things I wish I knew beforehand. If you are traveling with small kids, the noise level in the house can get pretty loud due to the high ceilings/hardwood floors. Also, if you are used to black-out sleeping conditions, the curtains in all the bedrooms let in a fair amount of light from the street and neighboring homes.
This beautiful historic house was very clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated in calming neutrals. The kitchen was well equipped and even though an older home, contained all modern appliances. Most rooms had a large screen TV. Parking was available in a back alley and on the street. It was a 20 minute walk to the convention center. The host was very responsive to messages.
The space was perfect in terms of size and location.
The positives first:
Clean linens
Good mattresses
Clean bathrooms
Clean kitchen
Nice appliances
The could be betters:
Fireplace advertised and didn't work due to fire code
Jacuzzi Tub jets didn't work
The light switches were a nightmare, some worked others not so much
The microwave was dirty
The couch had two large stains on the chaise area
The chair in the master had numerous stains
The hot water in the main floor bathroom didn't work
The floors and rugs were not clean
The pool table felt was dirty
I realize I'm being picky. I believe that the fact that the property is for sale and they may be showing it may contribute to the "details" being overlooked.
Also, there was some confusion about signing a separate rental agreement other than Vrbo?
All in all, the stay was pleasant but diminished by the items I have touched on. Some of the most important aspects of renting Vrbo's to me is the cleanliness, comfort, and having an accurate description of the amenities.
We have stayed in Vrbo's all over the country and Canada, and I feel as though I have a range of experiences to compare this site to.
BEWARE COMPANIES. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CHARGED FOR ITEMS YOU DID NOT BREAK.I donât normally put other individuals on blast, but the host most likely will give me a bad rating so I will share my opinion.First of all, the house has a lot of space and Iâll agree it is a plus for big groups. Dennis the host was easy to contact either via the app or text messaging. So far so good. Originally there was 4 of us staying at the property, but by the time we arrived 2 coworkers couldnât make it. It was my boss and I staying at this property. My boss unfortunately, spent most of his time sick in his room. So basically it was me.When we first arrived it had snowed. The steps leading up to the house were not shoveled or salted. We even looked for a shovel to take care of steps ourselves. No shovel to be found. The steps were steep and small, with the added slip hazard of snow it was treacherous and downright scary going up and down these steps. Iâd be curious to see if these are even up to code with how steep and small they are.The house was freezing. We turned up the heat to get it somewhat bearable, but that didnât do anything. BRING LAYERS.In the description sent to my email about property it stated that the fireplace remote can be found in a drawer in kitchen. Since the house was not getting warmer I thought turning the fireplace on would help. I searched the kitchen numerous times for said remote. I finally contacted the host, Dennis and sa
This home has great "common" space - we had 12 girls getting their hair and makeup done on my daughter's wedding day and the home offered so much room and fantastic natural light. The home is also very well equipped - we had plenty of dishes, pots, and other necessary items. Each room has a nice, large television and the master bathroom is outstanding. Overall, this home worked great for our wedding weekend - it is very close to the heart of downtown Indianapolis.
I stayed here for a bachelorette weekend. It was a group of 6 of us and The house was amazing! Plenty of space. Clean. The host was quick and helpful with any messages. Location was perfect ! close enough to everywhere we wanted to go. Only few min drive so Ubers were cheap. Or we couldâve even walked! I would absolutely stay again or recommend to anyone looking for a stay downtown ! 10/10 5 stars!!
Beautiful and roomy home, the tub countertop had a broken piece where two pieces met laying in top of c tub counter top, and the counter top along outside edge was ruff and sharpe ,had not been sanded and polished. Bunk bed room very hot , wouldn't cool down , and middle bedroom.next to laundry room hard to cool. We enjoyed our stay much. The beds sweaked to much.need quieter beds.
