Hello, I am Francine -- new owner who recently listed the condo on VRBO. This is why I do not have yet any rating and if you are anything like me -- you are looking for best rating. However, if you trust me and are looking for a relaxing and attractive place while still being in the middle of the action, this place does exist at the Shipyard Condominiums.
It's located in the prestigious gated community of Truman Annex in Key Westâs old town area which is 2 blocks from Duval Street, close to the beach and all the Old Town Key West attractions and great restaurants. You can walk to the grocery store (Fausto's), have drinks at the Green Parrot (2 blocks away) and enjoy Fort Zachary Taylor State Park which is around the corner.
I just renovated this 2 bedrooms /1 bath condo which is outfitted with washer/dryer, all new appliances in the kitchen, pots/pans, towels, linens, have central air conditioning, pool access and assigned parking inside the gated community.
This end unit condo is on the ground floor and has big, beautiful French doors in the living room and master bedroom. They open onto the private back deck with has outdoor patio furniture. You also have a fully equipped modern kitchen, renovated bathroom, and flat screen TVâs in the living room and wireless internet access. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the guest bedroom has a queen size bed and each bedroom has flat screen TVs.
After a full day of taking in the islandâs many wonderful experiences, come back to the comfort of this home. The manicured landscaping, verdant palms, and white picket fences give the Shipyard and Truman Annex a lovely park atmosphere. All this tranquility makes it hard to imagine that Duval Street, Key Westâs central artery of entertainment is only two blocks away.

Hello, I am French Canadian (from Montreal) and I lived in San Francisco Bay Area (Marin County) for over 15 years, then moved to the south of France (Nice/Antibes/Cannes) and then, moved to Manhattan (midtown) where I stayed for over 10 years. I have now settled in Key West and have renovated this condo in the fall of 2022 (October) and listed it on VRBO. This is why I do not have yet ranking as I am new on VRBO. You will not be disappointed if you stay at my place. I will make sure that you will enjoy your stay.
I initially thought Key West would be too small to keep me busy but it is the opposite. People are so nice, happy and welcoming and we have many activities between arts, museums, water sports and more. As a person, I love biking, taking walks and sharing great moments with friends and family around a glass of wine (or two) and food.

Many of you have been to Key West so there is little to add except to say the condo is located at the "Truman Annex" but those of you who have not yet been to Key West, Truman Annex is in the heart of old town but away from the noise.
You can walk everywhere from the condo and come by for a siesta in the afternoon where it is calm and relaxing. We are really close to Truman Little White house where President Harry S Truman began using this former naval officer residence in November 1946 as his winter White House. Truman spent 11 working vacations here frequently meeting with high-ranking officials. Key West is also the home of many other well known celebrities such as: Ernest Hemingway, Jimmy Buffet to mention only a couple.
You can walk everywhere from the condo and come by for a siesta in the afternoon where it is calm and relaxing. You have access to a private pool on the property and the golf course is about 10-15 minute drive.
All kitchen appliances are new, the king and queen size beds are also new -- as I said, it was remodeled in October 2022.
