Little Bungalow on Warren- Charming and Quaint *PET FRIENDLY*
This charming little bungalow is nestled in the beautiful Appalachian mountains. Itâs centrally located to all local colleges (LU, UofL, RC, and SBC), restaurants and outdoor adventures. Youâre 15 minutes in any direction for meals, shopping and to the colleges. Perfect if you want your own place and space. If youâre looking for a peaceful escape then this is where you want to be, come and enjoy all this little bungalow has to offer you.
As soon as you step on the front porch you are greeted with cobwebs and paint peeling off the shutters. The inside was better but there was garbage in the kitchen garbage can from someone who stayed there prior to us. The main issues I had with the place is the foul odor you smell as soon as you step inside. It smells like a musty old basement. The AC unit is very noisy and the air actually irritated my throat. Also the pillowcases smelled so strongly of bleach or detergent that you couldn't use them. We left after a hour or two and got a hotel room.
Location was good for getting around town. Beds were great and owner was very good at thinking of all the things we needed and special little addtions like a cloths line in laundry. With all the rain they really need to clean up the mud an dirt in front lawn on roadside.
The house is nice and quaint and offers comfortable accommodations. The house itself needs some TLC. Many ants and bugs had to be taken care of. I donât know about other weekends, but there was a huge disturbance in the neighborhood overnight involving law enforcement and we felt very uncomfortable.
Overall, our stay was fantastic. The bungalow was beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, which contributed to a good night's sleep. The heating system worked great and was conveniently located near everything.
Beautifully decorated! it was cold, heating system worked good! Good beds! Furnishing coffee , teas and hot chocolate a plus! This house is very old , owner has done well to make it so inviting! The only drawback is the front porch is somewhat of a hazard and there was loud shouting outside late on Friday night we were there which made us feel uncomfortable!
This home was very comfortable and inviting. Plenty of room for 4 of us and a dog. The home was well stocked and my favorite was the Keurig! I wish more VRBOS would have them! Thank you! Hopefully we will be back again!
The house had charming attributes (historic), which we love, however, the plaster/foundation is in need of repair. Cracks along the walls are very visible and one side of the front room "leans". The kitchen was cozy and clean, and the amenities such as coffee, tea, sugar, honey...were very much appreciated. The bedrooms were also very comfortable. Similar to another review, spiderwebs were found on both the front porch and back window- in addition to paw prints on the front door. The outside spaces were not very inviting.
The host was very responsive to a request, which made our stay much more enjoyable.
