Coastal Cutie | Steps to Beach + Pool Access

Coastal Cutie is a charming three-bedroom, two-bathroom home located in the prestigious Royal Sands Beachfront community. The home is just a short walk to the beach, just steps from one of two private pools, and includes a welcoming front porch and a private backyard with a deck.

Once you arrive at his one-story vacation home, you’ll find it has an open floor plan, great natural light and cozy coastal decor throughout. The owners took your comfort in mind at every turn. The fully equipped kitchen has all the essentials to create gourmet meals to share together at the dining table nearby. The living room has plush furniture and a Roku Smart TV. Feel free to pack light as there’s a washer and dryer on the property for your use!

The primary bedroom features and king-sized bed, Roku Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom. The second guest room also includes a king-size bed and a Roku Smart TV. The third bedroom is a bunk room, offering two sets of twin-size bunks perfect for the kids. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom nearby. There is also a queen-size sofa sleeper for additional guests.

Enjoy spending time together in the fenced backyard and deck. Rinse off the sand in the outdoor shower, then grill your fresh catch on the grill. Coastal Cutie is pet-friendly with a special area for pets outside! There is also an enclosed garage with ample off-street parking and Silver Sands concierge service is available. Last minute booking success!

We rented this property the day before we wanted to arrive. The process was easy and communication was great. Golf Cart was great and the location can’t be beat. Close to the beach and far enough away from town to relax.

Enjoyed our stay

Although small it was a great size for us. Like that master is separate from Secondary bedrooms. Located across from the pools/hot tub. Quick walk or cart ride to boardwalk to go in beach. Bring all laundry pods, condiments etc. Be sure to ask if you want to use the golf cart. You have to submit insurance etc to their office in Port A.

Cute property and checks all the boxes just has some drawbacks

I can tell the owners put a lot of effort into making this place, feel like a beachy getaway. The only complaints we have is that the entertainment such as games and toys for the family are a bit outdated. Additionally, the kitchenware is also outdated and has been used up. There’s a lot of Teflon pans that were scratched and that could be harmful. We did find three bedbugs in a guest bedroom and a couple small spiders along the floors.

The house was very nice. The cellular service was horrible for the area making it hard to download the information to get into the house. Had to call the phone number I had and get through automated answering service before speaking to anyone. (Just the way the world is heading I guess) Overall the location was great, house was great

COASTAL CUTIE - BED BUGS

Our Coastal Cutie weekend experience. At bedtime we found bugs on the bunk beds, (identified as bed bugs from an iPhone app). I called the after-hours number for Silver Sands Rental. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice but not helpful, he asked me to send photos of the bugs. I sent the photos and we packed everything up and left. I called Silver Sands the next morning and spoke with Diane. I was told maintenance was going to check out the property and they would let me know what they found. After several hours, she called to tell me they tore the bed down and nothing was found. I reminded her I had photos of the bed bugs on the bunk beds. She then said, “Oh, I will have them check the bunk room.” My thought was, why had ALL rooms not been checked. Diane never called back to confirm the bugs or apologize, I just received an email saying I would receive a refund 5 – 10 days later. Silver Sands showed very poor customer service for the trouble and inconvenience we experienced because of the bed bugs. Vrbo was great in their effort to help resolve the issue. They refunded their service fees immediately.

Very pleased after a family stay

My family stayed here over Labor Day weekend and really enjoyed it despite the rainy weather! The house was very comfortable for my husband and I, our dog, and our two small kids. I was initially a little worried booking this because of some older reviews about it not being very clean- I didn't find any issue with the cleanliness. The neighborhood was very nice and only about a 5 minute golf cart ride from the beach. We did not make it to the pool so I cannot speak to the quality, but it was very close to the home. My only complaints are related to some of the amenities of the home. The golf cart could really use an upgrade- we didn't need to go far so it wasn't a big deal but it was difficult to start most times and it was pretty clear we had the worst golf cart around! The coffee maker, ice maker, and vacuum also did not work- These are all very important for a beach vacation so I would suggest replacing them! Overall great stay- I would stay again with the knowledge these items were upgraded.

We love this house and location and this is the 3rd year in a row we have stayed here. We were taken aback this year on how much the rates have gone up. We were sad to see the palm trees in the back had to be cut down due to the winter storm loss. We were not happy with the new Roku streaming package as it had very limited channel options. Also their are no working table lamps in the living room & tried to bring one in from back bedroom but neither of those work so replacing some lamps would be nice! Service from Silver Sands was excellent.

We travel several times a year to Port A and the Coastal Cutie has been one of our favorite places we've stayed. We loved that it was a single story. So no lugging stuff up multiple flights of stairs. The open concept kitchen/dining/living area makes the home feel quite spacious and the bedrooms were good size. Having 2 king size beds was great with 2 adult couples; and our 2 teens and 2 younger children were comfortable sharing the double bunk room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. The only suggestions I would offer are 1: upgrade the bed sheets; they are very rough, and 2: the community pools need to be cleaned/maintained. The water was filthy, smelled bad, and had a green hue. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Coastal Cutie and would definitely return.

House Rental

The house was excellent. Rental process was very easy. The only suggestion we might make is it’s time to trim palm trees. Dead limbs broke & hit me. No injury. Could not sit on front porch because we could not see over overgrown sago palms. I would rate a 10+.

When not out on the beach with us, they spent a lot of time on the back patio relaxing. The fact that this house has a fenced in back patio and allows dog is a huge plus. We love the Royal Sands / Mustang Royale neighborhood. This is the 4th house we have rented in this neighborhood in the last six months. It is close to the beach (walking distance) and away from the crowds in town. We love it. Also loved that Silver Sands provided a free golf cart. We will definitely be back!

Was a nice place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent the 1st night ( Friday, the 24th of July ) locked down and on alert for the rapidly approaching hurricane Hanna. Saturday morning came with sideways rain and winds gusting near 75 mph, the power had gone sometime in the night and our entire weeks supply of food was in need of refrigeration, so I bought $35.00 worth of ice and took all the perishables out of the fridge and stored them in coolers. We continued to hunker down as advised by the National weather service and Hanna took a turn towards the south and moved onshore about 1:00 pm Saturday. The house did very well in the 90+ MPH winds as we rode out the storm in what seemed like a high humidity sauna! Around 3:00 pm power was restored and we were able to rest well Saturday night as the house cooled off in about 2 hours. The rest of the week was enjoyable as we split time at the pool and the beach. So despite a bad start, we ended well.

Good place

This place was fine, for the weekend. Many things were in disrepair and we had many bugs. I was happy with the cart and the location, but it could have been cleaner and the check in/out process could be stream lined.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is a comfortable vacation rental for a family. Neighborhood is well maintained. The house itself was not as clean as we would have liked. Dust and hair in the corners, food in kitchen sink drain, ceiling fan in master very dirty. Blankets in the closet were not washed and smelly. The kitchen drawer handles are falling off, under cabinets in kitchen and baths have not been cleaned in a long time. The golf cart that came with the house was in terrible condition, and broke down the first time we took it to the beach. We called the number posted and they brought us another cart, but it was in almost as bad shape. I would recommend the management company make sure the carts are in better condition and inspect the home for cleanliness and routine maintenance before renting again. This house is not on the beach & does not have a view, but the beach boardwalk is only a block away.
