LOCATION : A traditional, yet unique, two bedroom/one bathroom, single story home 🏡with covered/private parking and a spacious fenced in back yard.

Centrally located for day trips to Mesa Verde National Park (13 miles), Canyon of the Ancients (11 miles), Crow Canyon (5 miles), Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (45 miles), Telluride ski resort (73 miles), the Four Corners Monument (40 miles), and Moab, UT (115 miles).

Just a short walk from downtown Cortez, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, parks with tennis and pickle ball courts, cultural center and recreational center, this bungalow-style home offers a quaint and comfortable home away from home as you explore the high desert plains of southwest Colorado.

NOTE: The homeowners live in the Cortez area and are readily available to ensure your stay is convenient and enjoyable

PETS: Dogs welcome (with an additional pet fee of $50.00). Encouraged to crate pets if leaving alone in house. Crates provided by request. Required to pick up after your pets in the back yard by the end of your stay. Do not leave your pets alone in the back yard if you are leaving the home.

3 days in a warmed and lovely home

We have had the pleasure to spend 3 days in Cortez in the Jaimie and Rodney’s home. Everything was confortable and convenient. We had the chance to spend 3 sunny days. The whole was perfect.Thanks Jaimie and Rodney.

Mesa Verde Trip

We were in town for a mountain bike race and a tour of the National Park. The place is near main street and only 10 minutes from the park entrance, well kept and stocked with all the essential items. You can tell the owners truly care about the renters. Only half our family was planning on staying as the other half was supposed to camp at the race campsite, but the place was too roomy and accommodating. We had to all take advantage of the location except for the night before the race.

Our go to Cortez place

We are repeat renters so that speaks for itself. This rental is well furnished - kitchen has anything you might need, bathroom has toiletries (including toothbrush I forgot;), and the king bed was comfortable. Our dog loves the back yard and hanging out on the front porch with her dog bed. Location walkable to Montezuma Ave.and town

Home was wonderful. Beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. The house had everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfortable. The host was very accommodating to our needs. One of the best VRBO’s that we have stayed at. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

5 Star Experience!!

Property was clean and beautiful! Well stocked with the basics in the kitchen. Indoor and outdoor games with a nice yard. Extra blankets, comfortable beds, and lots of local suggestions. Nice decor and hosts reached out to make sure we were settled. Attention to every detail! We will stay here again if we are ever in the area!

We had a wonderful stay in this charming cottage! The beautiful decor included both essentials and plenty of extras! Lots of mirrors, hooks in all the right places; comfortable beds and exceptionally clean! It’s very evident that the owners take extra care to create a pleasant environment and beautiful space for their guests. Highly recommend Thank you!!

Charming Bungalow

This charming bungalow was exactly as advertised: clean, well stocked, convenient location and perfectly decorated. The yard was perfect for the pups. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. The hosts were great. We were welcomed with wine and snacks which were really appreciated after a long day of travel.

Wonderful, clean home

This charming little bungalow fit our needs for a home base perfectly. The beds were super comfortable --even the pillows!! The bathroom is clean and modern as is the rest of the house. It is only about 8 miles from the entrance to Mesa Verde. Which, BTW, if you are staying, you have to drive up at night for an amazing view of the Milky Way!

Home away from home

After being on the road for several weeks, this was the perfect place to relax and catch our breath. Every need was anticipated from laundry to kitchen--little touches all around that just made one comfortable--plus so many special extra touches. My kids appreciated the games, fun bean bag chairs, and the welcome snacks. Close to a playground, Mesa Verde, shopping needs, and a doable (beautiful) drive to Telluride area hiking. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area. Thank you!

Well appointed home perfect for dog

We had a lovely stay in Cortez. The house had everything we needed - kitchen and bath well stocked (even toothbrushes if you forgot). Our greyhound loved hanging out on front porch and fenced in backyard and daily walks at nearby Parque De Vida. The walk to town is .5-.7 miles one way if you want to leave car parked. We parked in front because our car hitch and bike rack dragged on the driveway if used covered parking. The only downside to the house is the traffic noise on E. Empire St. (north side of house), but usually quiet in middle of night.

Great pet friendly stay

We had a great stay at the bungalow. It had every amenity you could need and our dogs loved the fenced back yard. As other reviews mentioned you have to back out onto the steeet from the carport but we never really had an issue. We only noticed traffic around 8am and 4pm and it was never an issue. Would definitely stay here again!

Outstanding House in Cortez

This charming, cozy, well-organized, and nicely appointed home was perfect for our three night stay. Jamie and Rodney should provide training to other VRBO hosts on how to prepare and manage a VRBO property! Great instructions and labels in the house. They seem to have thought of everything guests will need.

A Unique Gem

I have been lucky to experience quite a few rental properties all over the World, and the attention to detail in this particular property, is astounding! Lovely home in Cortez

The house was in a perfect location. It was very clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, great shower and a comfortable bed. Our dog loved the fenced back yard. Communication with Rodney was excellent. When we are back in Cortez we will definitely try and rent this house for our stay. We had a lovely tiime in Cortez!!!!

Fabulous Place!

This is, by far, the best VRBO we've stayed at. Not only was the house spotless and tastefully decorated, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of parking. Other huge perks were the fact that there wasn't a huge check out list of things to do (thank you!) and, unlike other places we've stayed, we were left with plenty of dishwasher and laundry detergent. That was a huge bonus! We can't recommend this place enough! The proximity to Mesa Verde National Park was also an added bonus!

Superb accommodations and location!

House was very well equipped with all essentials as well as very well appointed. Hosts were helpful with leaving lots of information about local shopping and areas of interest in the area including contact to ask if there were any questions or concerns. The attractions in the area are phenomenal so there’s no loss of things to do. We did not have a dog but dogs are welcome and a large fenced yard.

Rodney and Jamie are life long members of the community, and we are happy and excited to offer our three generation home to our guests for their vacation enjoyment.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We are pet friendly, with a spacious fully fenced backyard. We also offered wire dog crates of different sizes if you would like a crate but don’t want to travel with one. Please let us know if you are traveling with pets. Our policy is max 2 dogs, but are happy to discuss options depending on circumstances. There is a one time pet fee of $50.00 and please let us know to ensure the fee is added to the cost.
