Rustic log cabin close to the River off of River Road on Mariposa ave in Concan. Newly renovated. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. 1st bedroom sleeps 4 and second bedroom sleeps 2. Each one has own bathroom. Full kitchen with plenty of room and living room with a fireplace. Large porch with rocking chairs for sitting outside. Firepit area; barbecue pit and picnic table. Take a walk and relax when not tubing down the river. Nice family atmosphere.
The cabin is located close to the river, however there is not private access via walking. We have many great tubing companies around that can help you get access to the river and enjoy time with your family.
Such a quite, beautiful rustic getaway. It was faraway, yet very close. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Becky was very helpful and welcoming. My family loved it and we will be back when the river is flowing.
We had a great stay at this well appointed home. Lots of hill country birds were seen on property to our delight. The beds were very comfortable and the showers had great water pressure. Buy any condiment you might want during your stay as the local markets are very limited!
We wanted a cabin off the âbeaten pathâ and that is exactly what you should expect. It had everything we needed. It was clean, welcoming and expect the deer to come right up to the front porch. We had a great time hiking at Garner State Park and coming back to the cabin to relax, fix dinner and watch a movie before calling it a night.
We came for a weekend to relax and float on the Frio River. The cabin was quite larger than I expected. My family of 4 had a blast and will definitely book again.
The cabin is surrounded by cedar & mesquite trees at the end of a winding dirt road. You are greeted by an adorable sign reading Cloud Dance. There is a large parking area that makes it easy for unloading & having multiple cars. (There were only 4 of us but we came up at different times so we had 3 cars.)The porch is welcoming with chairs & a table. We spent a lot of time there due to rainy weather throughout our stay. We saw many deer, birds, a gray Fox & Jackrabbits were everywhere! When we entered, the cabin was fresh, clean & most importantly COOL! My daughter immediately noticed the hand written chalk sign welcoming our family. The beds were comfy, the living room was spacious & the WiFi was great, even with the bad weather. The decor was really cute. Only thing I could have asked for would be better cookware. Due to the weather, we stayed in & cooked more than we normally would. Overall we absolutely loved the cabin & our host, Becky, was always easy to reach & responded quickly when I wasnât able to get the door locked due to user error. Thanks for a great escape!
The cabin was very comfortable and relaxing and that was just what we were looking for. It had an air of peace. It was very clean. The television was a little iffy, the picture was not clear and it took awhile for the channels to come in.
Stayed a couple of nights and upon arrival was greeted by 2 very large dead scorpions. Cabin didnât appear to have been freshly cleaned. The owner did come out within just a few minutes to help with the scorpion situation. It just seems like a routine pest control would take care of it. There were plenty of towels. That was helpful. The cabin got the job done, just be mindful of s orpions.
Check-in process was easy. The cabin was clean with most items needed for our stay. If I could suggest a few things, provide a starter supply of coffee pods, creamer, and togo cups, as well as salt and pepper at least, would have been very helpful. We would also suggest fixing the water pressure issue in kitchen. It did fit our needs as a small family with teenagers. Having the extra bathroom was super nice.
Absolutely loved this cozy, rustic, but charming cabin. Nice quiet location and the trees provided privacy. Tastefully decorated and clean. Nicely furnished. The cabin had enough dishes and kitchen gadgets. Convenience store is close by for basics. We really enjoyed playing games and watching Christmas movies by the fireplace.
Miss. Becky was a fantastic hostâalways available and helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your home. We look forward to booking with her again!
The cabin was comfortable. WiFi worked well. It was nice and cool. Offered extra blankets.
The only thing I would suggest to the keeper of the cabin is to set up a nicely stocked coffee bar. There was no sugar or creamer. We also cooked and there wasnât any foil paper.
The Keurg coffee pot was found to have moldy water in it. I killed 3 scorpions inside cabin the first few hours we were there. Was offered a Keurig replacement but I couldnt trust the cleanliness factor due to the condition of the one found in cabin. Was told scorpions in cabin are just part of staying at Frio River.
Wound up leaving after our first day of our two day reservation. Total waste of time and MONEY.
Cabin was really nice, clean, and with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. Kitchen well equipped with pots and pans and great bbq pit!! Plenty of deer to see making it really ice for kids, awesome stay!!
