Perfect Location

We throughly enjoyed our stay. For use we couldn’t have found a more perfect location, close to everything the village has to offer. (Little bit of a walk to the gondola but absolutely doable). The space was perfect for 2 couples. Kitchen had everything we needed, cooked all our meals to safe a little money, there was never anything we wished we had to cook with. LOVED the heated floors in the bathroom, what a Lucy! We enjoyed the hot tub and listening to people talk about there day in the mountain. We brought our pup and he loved exploring the many miles of trails right out the front door.Penny was a great host and went out of her way to help us with what ever problem or question we had. Thank you Penny for every. We will be back

Great unit, great location

This is a lovely unit. Good use of space, cozy living room, lots of natural light. Decently sized bedrooms. Kitchen is very well equipped. Heated floor in the master bath is wonderful! Very convenient location: a 2 minute walk (if that) to the grocery store, 3 minutes to the bus that takes you directly to the gondolas, just steps away from the lively Whistler village.

Beautifully renovated unit

Location is close to grocery store, coffee shops and other restaurants. The unit feels brand new - the bathrooms and kitchen are modern. No A/C in the unit but fans are provided. Very clean and comfortable condo.

Great Stay, Great Location!

Very comfortable, clean condo. Excellent location, right across the street from the free ski shuttle and the grocery store. Appreciated 2 bathrooms -both with showers, and probably the best-stocked kitchen of any condo we've ever stayed at in Whistler (cookware, appliances, tools, bakeware, dishware - as good as we have at home), and large dining table. Hot tub was great after skiing - we didn't try the pool though. King bed was very comfortable. Only issue for some people might be the stairs - you need to carry skis and baggage etc up stairs, there's no elevator. Not a problem for us, but a family with small kids and lots of stuff will need quite a few trips to carry everything up into the condo.

Awesome accommodation in Whistler

As a family with small kids, this is our favourite location that we have stayed at in Whistler. It's so close to our favourite food spots (Hunter Gather and also Mt Currie Coffee), to the playground, and to our favourite shops. We enjoyed the spaciousness of Penny's suite. Being nestled in the woods with the large living room windows is just lovely, especially with the ambiance of the fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed using the hotel grade waffle maker. I'd say if you are sensitive to scents, bring your own soap products. Also while the water is safe and good to drink, we just found it had a taste to it so you might want to bring bottled water. Unfortunately the hottub was closed while we were there, my husband and daughter had a great time in the pool. We would love to stay here again!

Great family condo in Whistler Village - close to ski hills

The Condo was perfect for our needs - 4 single beds (2 bunk beds) and one king upstairs and the main floor a lovely living room space, kitchen and table. Nicely designed and well equipped, it was very clean and comfortable for our stay. It's right in the village (but not the busy part with the pedestrian streets) - it's just at the edge on one of the main streets. you can walk to everything including the ski hills. But the best part was a free shuttle bus is right out front of the condo entrance that runs very regularly and takes you to whistler gondola. Super convenient as I was worried about walking too far with our ski equipment. The owners were super responsive when I had a question and very friendly. Thanks for having us!

Conveniently located and pet friendly home away from home

The property is just across the street from Whistler village. We didn't have to drive at all during the entirety of our three-night stay. The house was nicely furnished. The upkeep was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well-stocked: in addition to a toaster and a Keurig machine, there was even a waffle maker and a rice cooker. There was a good selection of pots and cooking utensils for us to use. We initially had a small miscommunication on the door passcode. I received a total of three distinct passcodes from Vrbo messages prior to arrival. Fortunately, the situation was quickly sorted out. We would totally stay at this property again the next time we visit Whistler!

Comfortable, spacious, and clean condo with onsite parking on the edge of the main Whistler village. Nice renovated bathrooms. Right across the street from Marketplace area with Whistler’s main grocery store. Also right across the street from free ski shuttle to the skiers’ plaza in centre village. Quiet area away from crowds, though right against the main highway so traffic noise is a constant, so bring earplugs for the night. Underground parking not high enough for SUV’s with rooftop ski box, so if you do drive an SUV you need to empty the car at the temporary parking spot and then store the box inside the car before parking at your reserved spot underground. This requires a bit of logistical planning and put the whole family to work.

The Most Dog Friendly Lodging Ever!

We had a wonderful experience staying here with a group of friends plus our 8 month old Samoyed puppy. The host provided dog food and water bowls and splash tray, a variety of dog treats, a dog bed and blanket and jacket, and a variety of tennis and rubber balls to play with. Walking around the complex we saw lots of other dogs and the Valley Trail / Fitzsimmons Creek is a nice dog friendly area to explore. This was our puppy’s first international trip and we loved our stay at Northstar. The host was communicative and accommodating with all our travel needs. The balcony is spacious and we used the grill. the unit is surrounded by trees and it was snowing the majority of the time we visited, a winter wonderland. The condo is right across the street from the free shuttle that comes regularly and takes you straight to the ski lifts and gondolas. Otherwise everything in the village is a 10-15 min walk. Also right across the street is the market, liquor store, and a great Indian food restaurant. The hot tub and pool is only a couple min walk from the unit. Would highly recommend this booking!!

Fantastic - Bonus for dog families

Just great! Condo is spacious for Whistler standards. A usable entry for your ski boots and jackets. Some condos totally lack this. Kitchen remodeled and has all of the basics to cook at home. Living room sofa can hold 6+ people for seating plus 2 chairs. Great cozy gas fireplace. Patio to store your skis on to get them out of foyer. King master, bed comfy. Double bunks great for kids. Plus pullout sofa if you need. Loved 2 bathrooms. Location can’t be beat. Shuttle 2 stops away from mtn drop off. Very dog friendly which was huge for us to be able to bring. Great area to walk the dogs. Very clean. No fur in sight and no allergy issues. Totally enjoyed. A little traffic noise from the sea to sky behind since windows aren’t the best. Parking fantastic. Tons of guest spots at our time there. We had 2 cars. You can’t get a SUV in with a box on top so note the height. Most condos in Whistler have this problem. Loved this condo. Owner was great at communicating quickly.

Just book this one.

Penny’s place was fantastic, far better than it looks in the pictures and wonderful in every way. The living room/dining/kitchen area has great floor to ceiling windows overlooking the snow-covered woods, great light, a wonderful space to hang out. We had booked another place in the same compound for our first few nights, and while that one was nice, we wished we’d just booked Penny’s place for ther whole time!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My husband is an avid skier who dreamed of purchasing a condo in Whistler so we could become a "ski family". The joke was on us, as our children did not enjoy skiing, (hated it to the point ski patrol used to stop and ask if "everything was ok" while our kids laid on the snow and screamed).Good times. But back when the "ski family" dream was still alive - we chose the Northstar Complex because it is a solidly built, well maintained strata with a really nice hot tub and large pool heated all year round. It is also within walking distance to everything in the Village (a short stumble home from apres ski - our now much older kids have definitely warmed up to Whistler) and connected to great trails for our dogs. We specifically chose our unit because it was a corner suite located in the back of the complex. It is bright and cozy in the winter and remains cool in the summer. It is surrounded by trees and greenery rather than looking directly at neighbours. There is a lovely green space at the bottom of the building stairs which is ideal for the late night/ early morning dog potty needs.The condo is away from the noise of late night pedestrian traffic. It does have some traffic noise, most noticeable in summer with the windows open - but that doesn't bother us.
