Whether you enjoy quiet mornings on the porch, fun family gatherings or exploring the Wichita Mountains this house has all the comforts of home and was created with every detail in mind. This house is perfect for a stay in the Wichita Mountains!! It is conveniently located in walking distance to the main block of town but not in the thick of it, so itâs quiet and calm. The common areas of the house are nice-sized and there are three living areas and two dining areas. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, cooking utensils, dishes, etc. Bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable - they even had lamps and charging stations by every bed! Definitely would stay here again!!
The house was prefect for our family. It was clean and spacious. We were able to enjoy each other in small and large groups. The kitchen met all our needs, too. We had everything we needed. Plus, we had a glorious, good old fashioned thunderstorm to round out our stay. Thank you Tara for your prompt responses to my questions and for making this stay possible.
My daughter recently was married at The Wichita Wildflower Wedding Venue and her reception took place at The Medicine Park Music Hall. With a guest list of 300 I rented 4 Homes in Medicine Park for out out of town guests. This particular one was amazing and my Son and grandkids absolutely loved it. The owners had every detail perfect for a family. Excellent stay.
Some extended family and I stayed at Sanctuary House for a memorial weekend getaway in the mountains to celebrate my dad. The house was amazing, comfortable, and the scenery was awesome. Highly recommend Medicine Park, Wichita Mountains, and Sanctuary House.
Our girl's weekend was amazing in this home. The location is perfect - walking distance to the town of Medicine Park with restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Easy drive to Dollar General for groceries and to the park for hiking. The amenities and little touches (fresh baked brownies!) were some of the most thoughtful I've ever experienced in a rental home. Lots of living areas to spread out.
There were two downsides. One was the king-size beds. They were beyond too firm (even one of us who like a firm bed was uncomfortable). The twin beds were better but still not very comfortable. The other problem was some paper wasps that kept appearing (we think through the vents). They were not threatening as they were near death, but still a little stressful having them around.
Overall, we would definitely return!
We celebrated our son and daughter-in-law's Army graduation and family day here. It was perfect for both sides of the family to spend the day with our soldier's to relax, visit, play games. The owner was very accommodating to some of our needs and easy to communicate with. There was so much space for everyone to spread out or have their own space. The kids took a hike on one of the trails and we had dinner and walked around Medicine Park (which is adorable btw) The deer visited every night and slept right next to the back patio! Would definitely recomend this place it was perfect!!
Great beds, super clean house , clean bathrooms. Nice kitchen with all cooking amenities. Recommend bringing your bikes & fishing poles, nice hiking trails at the back of the property.
Walking distance to restaurants and river swim area
Games, TVs, vista's- tons of room for everyone to relax. Would stay again!
This house was amazing! The only thing I would suggest to owner is to put better light on address number or bigger sign. At night it was hard to see. Owners were great though. Made a difficult time not so difficult.
Thank you!!
Sanctuary House was absolutely wonderful! We had the best time! Tara was so good to work with! Any time we had questions, she would answer us right away. The house has everything you could possibly need, & it's in a great location for being close to explore the Medicine Park area. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!
Great location within the mountains, visual wildlife and local charm. House and kitchen were fully equipped and functional. We had a wonderful time and every thing you might need was provided. The mattresses on the king beds were extremely hard and it seemed the hot water didnât get above luke warm in the showers which wouldnât have been bad had it been a summer trip. The 3 stairs leading to the main living area were very tricky for older guests, a small railing would be very helpful. Overall great, spacious house with friendly, responsive host. Thank you for letting us enjoy your house.
Three generations of our family enjoyed a long weekend in this lovely home. The layout worked well for us - large family room with plenty of seating, and bedrooms on 2nd and 3 including a bunk room that we used for the cousins. The home was clean and well-supplied. Communications with the owner were good. We were there on a perfect fall weekend. It was an easy walk into Medicine Park proper. There were more activities available than we had time for. Medicine Park is a quick drive from OKC. We all agreed we want to go back!
