Cabin the woods

This cabin is situated at the end of a private lane in the woods. A very quiet setting. It is well equipped with everything a family would need. The cabin is close to many attractions in Manistee and Ludington.

Home Away From Home

Great value

We stayed three nights and this cabin worked great as home base for going to the beach, which is only about a mile away. There are tons of beds, which makes this a great value for a big family. There is plenty to do on the lot: bon fire, horseshoes, tire swing
 There is no WiFi as described, and spotty cell coverage, which makes it challenging to plan your day if you rely on it, but we made do and had all the amenities that we needed.

Summer Trip

We really enjoyed our Stay! We wanted a place that was close to all of our favorite places and this Cabin worked out Great! Magoon park was right on Lake Michigan, and was a great beach for our Dog and somewhere we had not checked out before! The Cabin was very relaxing and secluded, but easy to get to and from :) would recommend!!!

A Wonderful Relaxing Holiday

This was our second stay at this cabin and we loved it as much as the first time, if not more. We stayed for two weeks and were able to completely unwind from the craziness of life. We love the quick access to Magoon and Sundling beaches and having Manistee 10 minutes away and Ludington only ~25 minutes away. I hope we get to stay again in the future.

Serene Setting

Cabin is secluded and well maintained. Surrounded by tall pines! Right off Lake Michigan near small park with beach and trails. Easy drive to coastal dunes and attractions. Cozy, family setting with fine hosts. Fire pit, grill, play area, patio set outside and wood burning stove inside. Weak wifi but Direct TV. Everything you need to cook too. One double bed downstairs in main room with five beds upstairs. Just one bathroom as expected in a cabin. Definitely recommend for a getaway.

Peaceful cabin in the woods

We really enjoyed our week at the cabin. The cabin itself consists of one large open space on the first floor (kitchen, dining area, living/TV area, as well as a double bed), one bathroom on the first floor, and a large room on the second floor with 5 additional beds. It worked well for our family, but might not work as well for large groups who need more privacy (or groups with people who take a long time in the bathroom). The cabin was clean and well cared-for, and it included all the things we needed for a successful trip (a kitchen with lots of kitchenware, a nice charcoal grill, a nice deck with a patio dining set, and a fire pit). Additionally, when we had a question come up during our trip, the owner was responsive and helpful. The cabin is conveniently located near a park with Lake Michigan access, so we walked over to the lake several times - to take a swim, to walk on the beach, or just to look at the sunset/stars. The cabin was also a great launching point for other nearby adventures (Manistee and Traverse City). And, in the evening, we all gathered around the fire for s'mores. The cabin was the perfect place for our family to "get away from it all" and reconnect.

Great Getaway Again

This was our second visit to this awesome property. The setting for this beautiful cabin could not be better. Just a great place to relax and enjoy nature, but close enough to town so you can also enjoy the town of Manistee. Dave Is a great host, and the cabin and property are in great shape. Beautiful peaceful cabin

I can't say enough about what a nice property this is-my family had a great time. The hosts are so friendly and responsive to questions. The cabin's kitchen is very well equipped as is the rest of the cabin. Comfortable beds, and lots of them. I was pleasantly surprised that wood is provided for bonfires or for the indoor woodstove. Great location, only a few minutes to stores or restaurants, but it felt really secluded and peaceful. I don't think there was wi-fi, and our cell service wasn't very good, but I counted that as a positive, because we really unplugged and focused on activities together. I sincerely didn't want to leave. I want to thank the hosts for opening their property to us!

What a beautiful place to stay nice and quite and so much wildlife . So many beaches to visit and the national forest is amazing to wander . The kids loved all the town parks it was a great place to reconnect.

I am retired and was born in Manistee Presently I live in midmichigan. It is a fantastic, trouble free vacation home. My brothers built this cabin.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

You will love taking a walk through a nature park and arriving on a pristine Lake Michigan beach. Or take 4 mile drive to the beautiful small town of Manistee. It has 2 great public beaches as well as marinas and many small shops. Late summer and early fall it has some of the best salmon fishing in the country. Charter boats are available.

You will love the simplicity of this setting. It's in a quite setting with room to explore. Cable tv and all the comforts of home.
