Pet friendly! Built in 2006 and just remodeled with new appliances and paint, this charming cabin on a private cattle and horse ranch is surrounded by fragrant sagebrush and chokecherry bushes and offers views, privacy, and peace. There is a large fenced yard, a private patio with furniture including cushions, a gas BBQ grill, and a chimenea with firewood provided. Inside, you have a full kitchen, a bedroom, and a full bathroom that includes a new washer and dryer. In the living room, you will find a new pull out queen sized couch, a recliner, a TV, and a woodburning stove. there is a dining table for 4 and an eating bar with two stools as well. The porch offers evening sun, while the patio has morning sun- a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! We have plenty of parking, so if you are bringing a boat, your snowmobile trailer, or your side by sides, you will have no problem parking and turning around. This is the only cabin on our ranch other than our private home, which is barely visible from the porch of the cabin due to large bushes and trees. You are less than 15 minutes from downtown Gunnison and Gunnison Regional Airport, and about 40 minutes from Mt. Crested Butte. You can also drive East on Highway 50 and be at Monarch Mountain Ski Resort in 35 minutes. Blue Mesa Lake is less than 30 minutes away. Our gate is located between mile markers 167 and mile marker 168 on US HWY 50. Google map may be slightly off, so look for the gate between those mile markers. We have added photos of our gate and wagon wheel mail box to help you recognize us.
A beautiful property. The whole place is immaculate and the scenery is stunning. Brad and Michelle have made sure you have everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. We loved sitting on the patio, soaking up the beauty and watching the humming birds.
Michelle and Brad were great hosts! We wanted to get out of Denver for a few days and unplug and their cabin was a perfect spot to do it. We never left the property since this time of year there was plenty of pasture exploring to do. The cabin has everything needed for a stay, including cooking (and/or BBQing) your own meals. And if you want to get "into town" you're only 10 minutes from Gunnison, or 45 minutes to Crested Butte. Highly recommend!
This place was exactly as pictured..very comfortable accommodations. Well stocked kitchen.. the patio was an added bonus. Our host were very friendly and welcoming. It truly is a beautiful place.. we would love to return one day..
Cabin is such a unique Colorado experience. Sitting in the back yard youâll hear an occasional cow mooing or horse neighing, plus watch so many hummingbirds. Stars in the night sky are beautiful too. Cabin is very comfortable and homey.
We had a perfect stay and our dog loved it, too. Owners were exceptional, attentive, available and extremely friendly. The cabin and property grounds were very beautiful and relaxing. We will be coming back!
Always wanted to sit down with a real cowboy and talk about ranching. I lucked out when I met Brad and Michele. The cabin seems modest at first, but itâs been so well renovated that itâs just perfect if you like the Colorado lifestyle.
Beautiful cabin with a beautiful, fenced yard for the dog. Well maintained property. The hosts were wonderful and very knowledgeable of the area and had wonderful advice on sights to see and places to eat and explore. We plan to return next summer!
This cabin on Brad and Michelleâs property is a little slice of heaven. We went to that area for the Wildflower Festival but left Crested Butte early to come back and enjoy the afternoon and evening on the back patio of the cabin. Watching their horses graze in the pasture and the numerous birds at the feeders, it was good for the soul. We hope to return one day!
I loved the story behind the cabin along with the western theme in this lovely log cabin. It was quiet and modern but away from the noise of the highway.I loved seeing the routine of caring for the horses. All was very relaxing.
Michelle & Brad are absolutely wonderful & so is their place! Itâs a blessing that they share their little slice of heaven with others. This is our second time staying there & we will absolutely come back!
Brad and Michelle are awesome! They go above and beyond and are extremely accommodating. Pictures online do not do any justice for their beautiful property.
It was lovely. Very peaceful. Hosts very helpful. Escape proof backyard great for our 14 mth old puppy. I loved the view, multiple blue birds, humming birds You must visit the Bon Ton restaurant in Pitkin. The renovation of building, staff, locals, & food all great. Itâs a lovely short drive. 8 min more than driving to Gunnison. Saw Big horn sheep driving hone from dinner.
Absolutely felt like homeSo comfortable, and Michelle had thought of everything! It was perfect, the views, the horses, the picket doorHave already started planning another trip back to Gunnison !!!
This is a great little cabin. Very comfortable very clean and plenty of space for a couple would definitely visit again if we are in the area thanks for a great visit.
Wonderful cabin and great location. Michelle and Brad the hosts were excellent throughout our stay. They had the cabin all ready for our arrival after a major snowfall the day before. These hosts pay attention to detail and it shows. Thank you Michelle and Brad for making our stay so nice.
Brad is a 4th generation Gunnison rancher- the last of a dying breed. His Father started ranching in Parlin in the 1950's and part of the ranch is still owned by Brad today. We run yearling cattle and sell grass hay. Lots of history here on the ranch, and some of Brad's family items are in the local Gunnison Pioneer Museum today!
