Otterly Relaxed in Seabrook, WA - large deck with private hot tub & firepit
Are you ready to become Otterly Relaxed?
We built this place to be the perfect vacation getaway for almost any family - with plenty of outdoor exploring space (nature!), plenty of outdoor living space (the beautiful, integrated deck, firepit & balconies), and plenty of indoor living space (when nature decides you need to be indoors instead). The options & opportunities are endless - so pick your direction, grab a martini and become 'Otterly Relaxed'!
Wonderful place to stay. We had such a fun time. Looking at the map it seems the ocean is far away but itâs very close, within walking distance. Would love to stay again.
The house is clean and stocked, which was great, and it had plenty of room for the 3 families that stayed. We missed the part in the listing that said no pool access, but ended up renting another home that had pool access with another family, so all worked out!
We had a wonderful but quick weekend at Seabrook! Otterly Relaxed was the perfect house for our family trip with the grandparents. Check in was seamless, communication was easy and the house had everything we needed.
Very nice with amenities liked the s'mores quite a bitLights on wall going upstairs flashed off and on sometimes. Plenty of paper towels. And coffee. Didn't use the apartment above garage though.
Seabrook itself is fabulous and Otterly Relaxed is in a great location - close to town and there is a path directly down to the beach. It has it all - size, amenities, clean bath/kitchen, decks with lots of chairs, ping-pong, guest house, games - but unfortunately needs a little TLC before we would return.*The mattresses in the primary (king) and secondary (queen) bedrooms are SQUEEKY and we - a 60-year-old couple on a romantic vacation - had to move to the bunk beds at 5 am in order to get some sleep.*The heating is either on or off - they don't cycle on/off and you can't set a temperature.*Some fabric chairs and all the carpets are quite stained and in need of a thorough steam cleaning. It is overall a great home for a casual beach getaway for a large group - just needs some attention. The owner was receptive to my suggestions, so I hope/expect some upkeep will be initiated.
my whole family was immediately wowed by all the options for sleeping arrangements and emphasis on comfort and relaxing. it was a great place to take a break.
This is a beautiful home located a short walk from downtown Seabrook and from the beach. My husband and I especially enjoyed that this home had a private hot tub and many different board games. The hosts were very quick to respond to and questions we had. The check in/out process is very easy. Would definitely recommend staying here and canât wait to come back!
We had a wonderful stay at Otterly Relaxed. The point of our weekend away was to celebrate my birthday and everything was perfect. The house was just as described, and I truly was able to relax the whole weekend. Unfortunately, it rained so we didn't get a fire outside. But we do get to use the hot tub, and that was amazing. I would recommend staying here.
Great location. Full of necessary amenities and lots of room, especially for young families (one room is bunk beds). Kitchen and house stocked with everything you need.
We had a great stay at otterly relaxed. The home had everything we needed and plenty of space. And the hot tub was an added bonus. And loved the fireplace outside and the fire pit. Hope to come back and stay there again:)
We loved our stay here. Our families grew up going to the beach in the winter, so we love a cozy place when itâs windy and rainy. The hot tub and indoor/outdoor fireplace were a perfect fit. The house had everything we could need, and more. We wouldnât hesitate to stay here again.
We had a great stay despite less than perfect weather. The kids had a blast in the hot tub in the rain and at the local arcade. We did manage to squeeze in some playtime on the beach.
Cozy home was perfect for 2 couples and our grandson...the bunkroom is great for kids with tv and gameroom on the same level. Great communication with our host! We will definitely be back!
We looked for a location most central between oir friends and us and we found Otterly Relaxed. And let me say, that was how the weekend felt. The house is beautiful and was perfect for our little short visit. We hope to be able to make the trip again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.
Otterly Relaxed is a perfect location and cozy home! We so enjoyed our family Christmas trip at Seabrook. Many wonderful memories! Anything that came up was immediately responded to by our host and resolved. Easy and quick walk to town. Lots of games and activities in the home. Would definitely stay again! â€ïž
House was very nice, clean and well stocked. We loved the fire place and hot tub! Did notice a problem with big black ants in the kitchen. They were more of an annoyance than anything. Other than that we loved the house!
My family and I dearly love Seabrook and my oldest daughter refers to it as âmy happy placeâ. For this long weekend getaway, we chose Erinâs house for our rendezvous.
We really enjoyed our stay. Itâs always fun to get the girls together to visit and go to the beach. The house was large enough for our group. One of my daughters stayed up in the studio above the garage and loved it.
We cooked all of our meals in and the kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was a lovely amenity as well as the provided beach towels.
The house is an easy walk to the downtown shops and coffee houses.
Power went out two of the three nights we were there and woke up to very cold temperatures inside the house. Other homes in the neighborhood did not lose power which seemed odd.
We loved our 3 night stay in Seabrook. This home had plenty of space for us to spread out or come together on the deck to read our books and have coffee. Everything went great except we have a few suggestions for the property manager. 1. We couldnât tell what the dispensers in the shower were. The body wash/conditioner/shampoo was not labeled so we had to guess. 2. The beds outside the bunk beds did not have much support , memory foam style, as in the bunk beds would be ideal.
The neighborhood chose us. The house is located in the Mill District - which is centrally located - close to the beach, close to downtown, close to the mountain-bike trails, and much more. For those familiar with Seabrook, Mill District is where the Big Fort Stump is, and where the Gnome Trail (Beach Access) is located.
When we picked the lot - it was just a hill. But then Stephen Poulakos (the lead "designer" at Seabrook) gave us a birds-eye-view sketch of what he would put on the lot.
We said, "if you can do that... here, we'll take it!". And they delivered.
The main house + carriage house provides a tremendous amount of living space - both indoor and outdoor. And thanks to the terraced structure of the property, and how it looks down on Compass Street, all of the outdoor spaces (deck, balconies, firepit, and hot tub) are extremely private - yet you can see everything - almost like a one-way mirror.
And it's the "small details" that matter:
- The wraparound deck gives you sun, while also protecting you from the elements.
- The indoor/outdoor fireplace can be seen from both the living room and the hottub. (and we think we still have the only indoor/outdoor fireplace in all of Seabrook.)
- We recessed the hot tub to make it super easy to get in and out.
Please enjoy it as much as we have over the years!
